It was cold today but dogs played outside. Tanner is playing like crazy.

I need to comb everyone out so the blog will be short. It was a great Saturday for play!

I also have a request. We've been down this road again. It seems tylenol 1s are in short supply and Nathan who relies on them to manage his pain is almost out. Can you please check your local phamacies to see if they have any? Have money - will pay. Feel ridiculous asking but tylenol 3s upset his stomach and tylenol 1s do not. He really needs them. I called our local phamacy and was told it could be months before restocking. That's rather scary. Off brand is fine. Send mail to me - darlah@potechin.com, if you can pick up and we can etransfer to you or let us know where so we can go get some. We would be deeply appreciative!

Happy 3rd and New Dogs

It's a birthday party here and they had steak bones. Lucky them!

Meadow and Pablo departed. They both had fun. Pablo has been here for a bit and well he's a play monkey to the max, I think he needed this play. Nothing like a slew of friends. Here is the gallery of everyone. Ty dropped in for the day and laid his head on Inula out in the snow. I ran to get the camera and of course they moved. It was endearing.

Tanner and Charlie arrived and got right into the play. Rosie and Koko departs tomorrow. Rosie takes over the recliner in the tv room and Koko takes over the table we have that has all sorts of doors like a maze. We had it made but now it looks like we need a new one but the dogs don't mind at all. We have a enbd table crate that we leave the door off of with a bed in it and the dogs LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that. There are so many eays to create dens for the dogs and they enjoy that after a real play session.

The cool weather invigorates them so play is the name of the game here.

Murphy also arrived and will be here for a bit. She's been keeping her sister Saffron company. They so enjoy each other!

Tenshi has departed. She gets so excited to come and so excited to go home. It is teh way it should be!

First Snow of 2019

It didn't snow much but enough for the sopping wet dogs to come in and the fun play to ensue.

Guess it is time to bring in the furniture.

Today I had barking dogs each time I attempted to take a video of the pups. I lost my cool as they barked and barked. Then we realized Ollie was here. What a day. They have not barked since.

Dogs had a full day of play. They brought in many leaves and pine needles and what have you. It was hard to keep up.

I can't believe Pablo is going home in 2 days. On Friday Marco and Stormy celebrate their birthdays!

Fun Play Day Today

Everyone has their roles in a group - true of humans too if you think of it if they are playing sports. With the havanese they are playing games all day long - sports like. Harlow's job that she took upon herself is to get everyone going. She will bark and motivate everyone. It is a riot.

I took whelping boxes out today. I had planned to do the outside furniture and curtains but it didn't happen. It has to soon.

I groomed quite a bit and didn't even comb out moms till just a half hour ago.

Remember to look in your dog's ears. They sometimes gets knots in the ear - not outside that needs to be removed. Who looks in ears - I know but it is necessary.

As Saffron is in heat we are doing a dance of where to put her till the son comes home and then she can go to the basement with Stormy. Fitz used to love it there. Jon must be doing magic as they all can't wait to play downstairs with him.

Just so you know, Fitz is in his forever home. It is working like a dream. I am so happy for them and him. Happy endings are wonderful!

Time Change and All

The dogs wanted to wake up from 530am on. I could have screamed but I put my head under the pillow over and over and said go to sleep. So much for an extra hour sleep.

The gallery is small as we were doing clean up of leaves etc. I so want one of these. LOL Why don't they sell them at say Home Depot?

I still need to bring in the furniture but maybe next week. Snow would give me a swift kick in the butt. Hope all of you are not procrastinating like me.

Saffron is in heat and Stone is going absolutely nuts - her too. I am going to lose my mind for 3 weeks. There is a level of insanity during this time. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Dogs are really enjoying this inbetween weather without rain. Though no before photo but Misty ran through the water and rolled in dirt. It took me 3 washes to get it all out. It just stuck to her. I just washed her a week ago. Oh well, she will get used to baths if she keeps doing those silly things that she does. I can't wait to see her in snow.

2 Updates: Happy 8th Birthday

Wishing all of Lola’s litter mates (Simba, Chloe, Poppins, and Benji) a happy 8th birthday.  Time has flown by, and we’ve made so many wonderful memories with our puppy.  She will always be a puppy to us.

Wet Again But Fun

Crosby, the one on top of Pablo had a grooming today and it looks like he needs another brushing. I think he is having a great time. LOL

We really need a break from this weather. I am not having fun with all this additional grooming. I am exhausted by the time I am doing the blogs. Oh well... this too shall pass.

Nathan bought Mandy Patinkin’s Diaries tickets as an early anniversary present. We go on the 14th. Now I want you to know how big of a deal this is as I said wow Mandy is in town - I so wish. Nathan said he is singing. Why would I want to see that. I said sometimes it's about what I like. Then he surprised me with tickets sitting on my desk. I hope he likes it too. We have not been to anything in a long time other than a movie months and months ago. I am so excited. With the amount of work I have been carrying lately, this was a 'wow'. Our anniversary is in December and the day after it, Nathan heads out to Florida for a week with the boys - his annual fun. So, I get mighty depressed as he goes and I don't go anywhere fun. So, I have something to look forward to.

Wet Day Again

Seems we missed the huge wind storm that everyone seemed to get. I even had the windows opened last night.It was a wonderful exchange of air and the dogs cuddled in and out of all the blankets. It was GREAT!

I did brush everyone out. Had to give baths toa few of the ones that really decided mud was the way. Rain go away.

I have to wait till everything dries out so I can take the furniture in. Nathan will leave his gravity chair out there so he has something to sit on then complains it gets rusty. LOL

Dogs had a wonderful time despite me grooming them. Got to complain about something anyways - even a dog. I think Saffron was looking at me cross-eyed when I said your turn.

It's a wet day so not sure how many will come out. The dogs got soaked for the 2nd day in a row.

Yesterday and today I tried human shampoo on Raven and Ella and I liked how their hair came out. I tried dog shampoo on mine and it came out a bit greasy and well dry too. Does that make sense? No dog shampoo for me again. I just wanted to try to see the results. The strange things I do as I am curious.

Wet Rags

Not many photos. The dogs are soaked. It is raining and it is all so futille to keep them clean. I washed Jeannie and Truffie and question my own sanity.

Henley departed today and he will be missed. The crew is playing and enjoying as they always do. Marco is a maximum play monley.

Soon the furniture will go inside and they will have a wide open space to run like hey!

Indoor Outdoor Always Fun

Pablo is a Cinnamon pup and therefore he is mighty agile. Nathan turned the table sideways as he hosed it off before the boys could bring it inside and he found a way up anyways.

Pippin, and Harlow is departing today and Barney left this morning. They all had such great play this week.

I had a mega amount of grooming to do today. Tomorrow I get to see Rusty for the day. Hooray!

Henley departs tomorrow and he will probably sleep and sleep as he has had a nonstop blast. You know how you recover from a holiday - same goes for them. The play is so good for a dog's soul!

I know this may be unpopular but you know Halloween and dog's? It can be quite confusing and scary for them. If you answer your door, put your dog away, please. They can be frightened by all the masks etc and an escape can occur. In all the years we have been breeding, 1 dog died from an escape that happened on a holiday. One dog - as you know escaped and was never found. Do not take chances and don't overload your dog by forcing them to view strange things. It can have serious consequences. It doesn't sound like much but once is too much. Set your dog up always to succeed and don't flood them with fear.

Playing on a Saturday

We run. We play. We have a grand time - just as it should be. They say rain tonight. A lot of rain, I may add is forecast from tonight till Monday early morn. The pool shack is paint dry - hooray! We worried about paint run off due to the rain.

We play inside but its not like playing outdoors. Outdoors is lots of room to run like banshees.

But now we have lots of TV room and upstairs hall play. That was the goal of the tv room expansion. It worked!

Rain means less leaves inside. It means the plants go hooray. Then we also get that fresh cool air. So, we do like it. I just hate the grooming it brings due to it. Tomorrow wil be busy.
