Remaining Dynamics

Now that we are down to 2 the dynamics have indeed changed. It's obvious that the remaining 2 miss the others. They didn't sleep as well but they also didn't have as much activity. We were rather busy yesterday so even though they got to see people, they didn't do the usual run like crazy play that we always do so at 5am we had a moment of I want to get up but we ignored till 6am.

They were in their x-pen so they had access to a pad and Daddy has to get up at 530am tomorrow, not today. So we hung out listening not really sleeping till 6am and took them outside with the adults and then inside to eat.

Then as the day went by Nathan taught the two the stairs to the bed in hopes in sleeping with them tonight. They did fabulous, up, down etc though on one set of stairs the down was a bit more - hmm this is steep but they soon got comfie with that.

In watching Charlie with Spicy today I see that he wants to win. It's not in a negative way but throw something for retreival and he wants it. He is competitive. Spicy is no slouch either so it makes it interesting.

We have started feeding the two in their own dish and Charlie wants his and Spicy's too. She is a slower eater than him. His vanishes in seconds and yes he is getting a little more than 1/3 cup each meal and he wants more.

Pad cleanup is a breeze with just two. We also take them outside each time after eating and praise them when they go outside.

Red is coming to visit for a couple of weeks tomorrow so we are hoping he plays with the little ones too like Raylan does. I am excited as its been a bit of time since we have seen him.

Nathan is going to start working with Spice on the table and I am going to start teaching Charlie sit. I won't teach Spice sit as that is exactly what you don't want them to do in the ring. So we will teach her 'leave it' as her first command and look at me.

Treasure is getting downright plump. She is sitting at nearly 14lb which is her all time high. She's a gal that sits at 10.5 lbs. She still has a few weeks to go. No she is not overeating though she thinks she is starving.

Fiona is dealing with 'I can't eat' in the morning now but Daddy gets her to eat by noon. Her weight gain has not begun quite like Treasures.

Boy am I tired. I need downtime and has life changed. I may even start exercising again. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

I only got a few photos today of the duo. I will miss having 2 around and Spicy and Charlie think Nathan shoots the moon. It's amazing the magic he has with the pups.
