Just the Two Of Us Hanging

Today we had a play session with just the 2 of us and another with the Leti pups and now we are having another with the Leti pups.

We had to be corrected to a minor degree for being rough but we are playing well together for the most part. We are rather smart! Each time we mesh them they get better and understand.

It's less than 2 days that Cara will depart. Cara departs Sunday. Jeannie really loves hanging out with her 2 pups. 

I think when we take Willow to bed with us and take down the xpen she will get that she is staying. I hope Kai and Jeannie take her under their wing. Time will tell.

Wet Outside

The pups went outside today and got soaked. This pup Willow is fascinated with Tenshi. Good thing as she is sticking around and Tenshi comes to visit. Tenshi also loves the pups. Her nature is outstanding!

Outside Gallery

How did they do? Great! It's warm outside just really water pool on the ground everywhere weather. They lasted longer than we thought.

If you look in the video on Letis blog or click here, you will see that we put the Leti and Jeannie pups together last night just to see what would happen. They did well all and all for the age difference.  The purpose was to get Willow to get acquainted with the Leti crew in case we can use her to play with Leti's pups as they get older like we do with Kai. Let's pups do not appear to have any fear over older dogs. 

Jeannie is spending a lot of time playing with her 2 girls. It's nice and it is at her own initiative that it is happening. She is really enjoying them. Sunday cara departs.

Just the 2 Of Us

The Bailey has departed and now there is no 2 crew - just 1 crew. The two will have just each other till the 14th when Cara departs.

The 2 are indeed feeling it. We shall see how it unfolds over night. They nibbled their food tonight but didn't truly eat. This is normal when they have had a lot of changes. By morning they should be eating again. Sometimes it takes a day or 2. 

The duo got extra snuggles. They will be going upstairs for another play session. Nathan is starting to feel sick and is trying to rest. Me, I am blogging and watching them.

Jeannie's 2

As you know when Cara departs Willow will join us in the bed with the other dogs. So Nathan has been busy teaching Willow how to go up and down the stairs but he hasn't with the other 2 as he is not aware of where they will sleep and he didn't want to create habits the new family's may not want. Besides, they may not have stairs. We have a guy just north of us that built a table that the dogs adore that has an entire section underneath where they can laze and enjoy but it's open with a number of doorways. We also had him build us stairs. If you are interested in solid stairs any colour or size, he is the one to get them from. 

How is Willow doing on the stairs? She seems to now go up and down them.

Someone asked me if they sleep a great deal. At this stage the pups do. They expel so much energy that they crash and take naps during the day. As they get older the naps get fewer and less time. If all they are doing is just hanging out, they will not sleep as much. It's all about how much energy they expel. 

After Bailey departs and we have the duo till the 14th, we were thinking of reducing the size of their pen but then said - why? They seem to be doing well with using the pads.

I wonder how the dynamics will change when Cara departs on the 14th.

730am Snow

The pups (Jeannie's 2) and Bailey were able to go out today at 730am. These are photos Dennis took. We will try to get them out later again today as it warms up.

As this was just Dennis no video was taken but if we get out this afternoon, we will try to do a video as well. 

Otherwise this is an early blog today. 

Pups are doing well!

Just the Two Of Us

These 2 are so funny. Cara departs on the 14th. They are going to love her. She does the quick roll on back so someone can rub her tummy. This is just like Jeannie. I actually think Cara looks more like Jeannie than Raven does. Willow doesn't do it. It seems to be partly a learned behavior as well as genetically inclined. It's a riot and I love that about Jeannie. Raven does it too. Cara also seems to be built more like Jeannie and Willow seems to be a mix with dad and mom.

Now that there are just the 3 - 1 of Adele's (Bailey) and the two of them the dynamics changed. Plus Bailey thinks he belongs out with the big guys. What a fun dog.

We will see how the night goes but Bailey and Cara and Willow are napping. 

I am glad Willow is staying as Jeannie appears extra close to this crew perhaps due to the reality that there are only 2.

Changes

Even though it is Adele's crew departing, it affects the Jeannie crew too. That's the downside of merging but the benefits far outweigh this phase. Tomorrow we will have just these 2 plus 1st born (Bailey) of Adele's crew then Bailey departs on the 10th. In 4 days that means it will just be the siblings. 4 days after that on the 14th, Willow will come into bed with us and we will take down her pen, get her exposed to the adults and her life will also change. We will sign her up for classes. 

We will still have Leti's in an xpen on the 14th but a couch will be brought back in and it will start looking like a livingroom again. At that point Leti will come back to bed with us and her pups will start going upstairs at night. So many changes for all. 

But right now the Jeannie pups are holding their own with the Adele Pups. 

Their journey is about to begin and I hope it's an adventure of a lifetime for each.

Very Short Blog

The duo is doing really well. It will be interesting to see how the dynamics changes when the 1st born and the 2 Jeannie pups are left come Sunday.

Cara will be the last to depart and she is going on the 14th. That night Willow will come to bed with us. Next shot will be given. Classes will be booked. It will be interesting to see if Kai bonds with the new puppy or she gets jealous when it comes to bed. Time will tell.

Last Full Day as 7

Jeannie and her crew has made the leap to the land of the crew of 7. The crew is about to go upstairs again and play that one last session as 7. Even though they have not been together the entire time they have already bonded. So when we have a picnic or a get together, they will react as if they were 1 forever more. It's nice.

As 1

Jeannie's hair was brushed today. I look at photos like this and say why? Jeannie still plays and tries to feed her pups. Her tri cal rolls over just like her to get her tummy rubbed. It is hysterical to watch.
