Terra & Treasure PlayingNames

Terra and Whitney (Whitney and Terra has Passed On)

Personality

Fun loving, friendly, gentle, good natured and universal socializers.

Abilities

Terra was hip challenged but enjoyed walks as much as she can and swimming with Daddy and Kat. Whitney enjoyed sleeping and eating a steak bone happens you have one for her. Terra was also multi-level obedience trained.

Fun Tidbits

Terra introduced each Havanese to the possibilities inherent in a fresh snowfall and a flick of the nose. Whitney taught us all how to go from A to B by making many circles. The dawgs faced with life curves gives us much challenge but are rewarding when you put the effort in them. Some need huge effort, like Whitney but we can say her last half of her life has been amazing with lots of tales and its not over yet though at 14, we take one day at a time.

Status

Both were spayed. Terra was hip and knee challenged and Whitney had doggie alzheimers and a huge success story from deep fear to a good life. She is what gives you hope that anything is possible with love.

More Insight

Whitney, our 14 year oldWe were honoured to share our lives with two Golden Retrievers even if they shed every time they breath. Whitney was our 14 year old 'rescue', an overused term I think, who had been with us nearly eight years. When she first arrived she was scared of everything and down to skin and bones. She ruined a 7,000 dollar leather couch during a storm as she was faster than us getting to her. Urine and leather don't recover. But we loved her anyway. We understood she had fears we had to help her get over and we did manage to do that!

Terra grew up with the Havanese and they all love her to pieces. She just couldn't figure out how they can stop and turn so quickly and has been known to go head over heels trying to keep up. The photo above was of Terra playing with Treasure who loved her very much.
