Jeannie Heat and Ties
Heat started June 6th 2014
First tie June 15th Father's Day
829pm to 8:44pm 15 minutes Day 9
What does this mean? It means *if* she took today she would be due August 18th give or take 2 days each way. So this would be her *earliest* due date right when Nathan is at the national specialty. She could take tomorrow or the next day. Each day adds 1 more day to the equation of when she is due.
Friday, June 13, 2014 at 7:50PM She's not ready and she's letting him know - oh boy is she!
Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 4:59PM Nothing today but we did try and she did stand so it means she is almost ready. We will try again tomorrow.
Jeannie is not eating that well which happens when they are in heat.

We are going to activate this blog again as Jeannie is in heat and will be having her first litter this year.
She will be bred to Phantom.
Jeannie's parents are Gogo
Her dad is AJ
Can't wait to see what they produce. Jeannie started her heat on the 6th and has not been bred yet. It's too early. When we do have a connection we will post and then give you a range of possible dates pups will arrive. It's going to be an exciting journey.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewJeannie seems to like the show ring but when you have to go you have to go and she did in the ring. Nathan cleaned up promptly. Two dogs did not show again and 1 that she beat yesterday was put on a professional handler to increase her odds, I suppose. Jeannie beat them and she got 2 points and is now going to puppy. So she now has 3 points. 7 to go. Best part is all the compliments Nathan is getting about her.
Well Jeannie just won best puppy in group so she beat all the pups in the entire toy group. It means she has to hang around till the end of the day to compete for best puppy in show. If a puppy wins group in their selective group there is no competition so you hang out for nothing. I know complicated but Jeannie did really well!
She's a funny gal. She prefers to sleep with me on my side at night but when Daddy puts that suit on the door she says what about me!
Val said I did a good job on her hair. hahahaha

Jeannie got Best Puppy and Best of Winners so she got her first point over 1 class dog that showed up. The rest did not. It's raining and mucky so another bath tonight and a 5am departure - yikes. Shoot me now. Bravo Jeannie for showing so well!

Nathan said there were no class dogs so no points for her to be had - only specials. Puppy wins bring no points just bragging rights. But he said she showed well and his only complaint is she wants to play with everyone. He also said no squeakie toys for her or she would be bouncing off the walls having fun.
I forgot to pack the grooming arm, the food and who knows what else. At least tomorrow's show is a tad later. It will just be good practice if no class dogs. That's okay too as it will get her conditioned for the Canadian and US specialty.
We are proud of the Jeannie and hope to see some class dogs at the shows. Where are all of you?
