Downstairs Play Today

They were after River on the couch. They had such a grand time driving her crazy. Eventually she said enough. 1 puppy okay but 6 chasing you... well only a mom could deal with that.

Here is the gallery.

The pups had a blast playing downstairs today. We wanted to get them out but it was cold. Hoping tomorrow. They are getting really good at using the pad. They use outdoors when taken outside.

Be sure to check out the videos.

9 Weeks Old and Getting Older

Pups are having a blast. We are going short blog today as we are heading out and I have a number of dogs to have combed out.

Here is today's gallery.

Pups are really growing mostly wider in girth but a bit taller.

Be sure to check out the videos.

With having no internet all day, it's catch up time. Tomorrow is a new day.

Turning 9 Weeks Old: Snow Added

We had a very full day already and the fun has not stopped. Check out the videos.

Pups are rather good at running, jumping and playing their hearts out.

I can't believe they are 9 weeks and in 1 more week, 10 weeks. How did that happen?

Be sure to check out the galleries.

We do have a name for the last puppy. He is Talemaker's Dex on the Beach, call name Dexter. This is for the tri boy. We now have all the names. Now to bring my cheat sheets around till it becomes comfortable calling each by their names.

The pups just got back in from the snow. We have a few videos and here is a gallery. Pups are having a blast going up and down the stairs and running in the snow.

Puppy Departures Plus More

February 13th the double mask gal departs

Talemaker's Gilded Lily. Call name Lily.

February 15th - after our class the black faced gal departs

Talemaker's Tropical Coconut call name Coco

February 16th the tri boy departs
Talemaker's Dex on the Beach, call name Dexter

February 17th the apricot boy departs

Talemaker’s Charles Gottlieb - call name Charlie

February 17th the tri gal departs

Talemaker's Nala Leti Sunshine  Call name Nala

The girl we deemed the littlest will remain making Leti exceedingly happy. We hope she gets of size and appears already she is as she gains daily. We are looking for a name - musician theme - formal and call name. This completes our venture at continuing each line. We hope these puppies turn out as desired as our hearts are invested in them heavily. We love them all but when they remain we make that extra leap of - they are ours. It's a crazy process.

We may be settling on

Talemaker’s The First Cut -  call name Spirit

With Kai, Willow and this one, I suppose we will have a trio of fun!

All puppies are going to homes that their families had them originally as 1st choice. This was an easy litter as each #1 choice was the right choice. We always take into consideration the choices unless it is not the right fit temprament wise. For instance the Stormy would not be right for a quiet couple. She's a wild gal and she needs to have a lot of expelling of energy. Not sure where in her lines that comes from as they are all usually quieter but she is a Stormy one. Having other dogs in her life is good for her soul.

I do so hope for the information needed soon. If you need help with a name, I can post and you will get all sorts of ideas, I am sure.

Pups played in a big way upstairs. Here is a gallery.

I found myself needing a cheat sheet to remember whose name is what but I will do that next play and start calling them by name. We only have 1 outstanding name but I have to make the leap of calling them something other than puppy.

Be sure to check out the videos.

A Bust Today

We have had too busy days as of late. Last night we got the notes out to all the puppy families to let them know which cutie is theirs. We did this AFTER class. As I said long night and today was catch up time, grooming and all the craziness. So we have very little photos.

Today's gallery.

If you do not have your names and info into us, please get it to us soon.

Leti is going to miss these pups. They can do no wrong in her eyes. She has no milk but she feeds them anyways.

Nathan bought me a valentine turkey. Is there a story there? Dark chocolate dear - truffles. hahahah

I put it down for the pups and you will have to watch the videos to see how they react. I have very little photos and videos. Catch them here.

Tomorrow I will vow to do better. sometimes it's just one of those days.

Day After Vets

They had a blast out in the snow. They are getting out daily now unless it is too cold. So far the weather is cooperating and if it is too cold we shorten the time.

Here is the gallery.

The pups started going up and down the stairs outside. Bravo little ones.

They are not sore and are playing up a storm.

As we have class tonight we are truly trying to get notes out to puppy owners but we have not had a moment to breathe. Tonight or tomorrow - sorry. Wish we had 48 hour days. I know you are waiting.

Be sure to look at the videos.

Vet Visit

Yes, we had a snowy drive to the vets with lots of trucks throwing slush and snow at our window but we survived.

Pups were quiet all the way there. They were quiet at the vets and quiet all the way home. No car sickness, no fuss, no muss and no accidents in the crates. We were beyond sensational.

Check out the gallery.

Leti was beyond happy to see them.

All pups are in great health. They didn't scream or yelp with the shots.

Here are the weights:

Tri with white gal - 3lb 3oz

Apricot Sable male - 3lb 7-1/2oz

Tri gal - 3lb 2oz

Tri boy - 3lb 10z

Apricot with black mask girl - 3lb 4oz

Littlest gal - 2lb 12-1/2oz

So the littlest isn't that little after all. They are all relatively similar in weight give or take ounces.

Be sure to check out the videos before their vet visit. We do not have any of the vet visit as it is impossible to click and videotape.

Inside and Outside Baths: Family Visit and Videos

Yes, we had baths today. We are getting used to what this is all about. We did rather well.

Here are the bath photos.

We are heading to the vets tomorrow. It is a long drive as it is an hour and a half each way then the wait in the waiting room and then the visit. We all come home tired.

Here is the gallery of indoors and outdoors today

The pups also had a good time outdoors but it was very cold so as soon as they started lifting their paws, we took them inside upstairs to play and one by one I gave them a bath.

Tonight they have visitors -

Here is the gallery.

1 of the families that was unable to come when the Sunday visit occured and it was a good reason this the exception. We usually do not do this as everyone asks and one year we realized we couldn't as we had 6 individual visits for 6 families and that rather defeats the purpose and it exhausted us and the pups. It's like a constant series of parties.  We have to put the dogs upstairs with Dennis as they would interfere with people getting to see their pups. Of course they would want them to see THEM - especially Stormy. So, this is an exception. We feel guilty saying no to individual visits so unless you have really extenuating circumstances, we have to say, we can't. I say this for future families who more than not ask. I guess it's just more attractive to have one on ones where we feel it is a benefit for you to meet the other families and for the pups to get conditioned to a lot of people.

Be sure to watch the videos.

Outside and Inside

The pups had 2 visits outdoors. I took photos and videos before the snow and Dennis, our son took videos of the pups outside in the snow. I also took photos of them upstairs.

Be sure to check out the gallery.

How did the pups do? They love it outdoors. All those sticks and smells and then they had the fun of the snow. They had a blast.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Tomorrow they get another bath. I am not sure if I will have time for photos as I also have a full grooming schedule. We shall see. Then on Wednesday they head to the vets.

When you see the snow videos you will see which pup thinks they are king of the sherpa bag. LOL

8 Week Visit

We had the 8 week visit and dear old Stormy was crying to join in and when she did she almost knocked over this boy in a blue shirt. Now you know why she is called Stormy. She just thinks being over the top boisterous is - well Stormy. I will let you guess how Raven was. After Stormy departed we got down to playing with pups. I hope everyone had a blast.

Here is the gallery of the pups at the visit.

Pups were tired and slept for a long time. I suspected that they were tired as they were showing signs. When everyone departed they slept for 2 hours. It's hard to time the visits to when they are waking up.

Here is their play session a couple of hours before their visit.

I am still uploading videos. So when they arrive you will find them here.

Pups head out to the vets on Wednesday and we will be sending out notes on puppy selections probably Thursday. Exciting times coming.
