12 Plus Hours Old

Here is the gallery.

Mom and Pups are doing well. Mom is eating like crazy. She is drinking well and is very attentive to pups.

It is quiet at might - just me and her and the pups. It makes for a relaxing time for her. At 7am the crew will wake up. I will crawl into bed, and Nathan will be on watch. I tried to nap before bedtime but it was too noisy. We shall see what happen in 4 hours. Yes - got to make it 4 hours more. Halle has had some solid sleep here and there. Pups are slightly gaining. They are lively and are sleeping here and there.

Usually I only stay up if we are having issues but as today is my day off and I can no longer take that, I wanted to have a break from feeding the dogs.

I uploaded a couple of more videos and will do more after I wake up.

The pups are gorgeous!

One Connection Surprise

First one was born at 112pm and he is whopper of a boy at 9.5oz 271g He is brown.

Next and last is a gal born at 222pm and she is also brown. She weighs 7-5/8oz 218g

Both are healthy. Poor Hallie screamed giving birth to both. Poor thing. She kept trying to eat the umbillical cord. New mom and all. She is sleeping and cuddling with her duo.

Here is the gallery.

Now how did this happen? 66 days ago she had 1 oops connection with Truffie. Never bled. Never got swollen but connected. I guess it was a silent heat. She didn't grow nor act pregnant and didn't have kicking. Usually you have pups 63 days after fertilization. As she was heading into day 66, I thought that was an oops that didn't produce anything and to be honest a summer off to swim was something I was looking forward to. So, today Dennis said if Hallie was to have pups, when would that be? Nathan was out. It seemed Hallie went into labour. I said 2 days ago? We had nothing set up. No new blanket from Sherry - no towels, no whelping box, cameras - nada. When Nathan returned home, he ate and Dennis and I scrambled like idiots getting everything ready. We just made it till the bubble appeared and Dennis was still setting up the camera when she delivered the 1st. I tried juggling the phone for video and the camera for photos.

Boy was breach and lazy. But he arrived with some coaxing mom to push once more. Gal came out the usual and was not lazy. LOL

Videos as good as I could do will be uploaded in a bit.

I am still shocked but no more days off, I suppose but as they get older they will be easy as 2 is well 2 and I am so glad she didn't have a singleton.

Pups are eating really well and smart momma is sleeping. I may stay up for the night as my day off is or was tomorrow. No more days off but I want to sleep in and have the quiet of the night.
