Got to Play

Check out the gallery on Hallie's blog.

Momma Willow has been teaching her pups and everyone else's how to play. It's a riot and I love it. They haven't been feeding their pups for a bit and no longer have milk but for some pups it is a comfort thing.

They are eating 3 big meals a day. I put treats in a snuffle mat and they were so excited today but I forgot to video tape it or even take photos as it was downstairs. I will do it again and capture it as you can but snuffle mats or make them yourself.

It's raining yet again and the pups are doing indoors play. Have to say that we are all sick of the rain. But we manage to have fun despite it.

Check out the videos.

Chasing

Gallery is on Nami's blog.

Willow was having such a sensational time with the pups. She was chasing and playing and having a grand time. I so hope the pool is open when all the pups have departed but she will still have 1. Lucky gal!

Wetness But Fun

Check out the videos.

I often dream of a true covered area over the deck. One would have to win the lottery and design it oneself. LOL But we get partial coverage and that's okay. The pups did not mind in the least. They went on their merry way running, playing and climbing. Dennis put the ramp up higher to see what they wsould do and they ran up and down as if it was natural. It was wonderful to watch.

I am trying to get all the contents of the loot bag ready so I will be doing less. There are things I can't do like the blanket which has the dog's name and face on it. So there will be many last minute things. We still have 8 people yet to give us their choices so no one can be assigned till all are in.

It unfolds as it does and if we have to delay pups - we can only do what we can do.

Afternoon 8 Week Plus Visit

Here is the gallery.

The pups were great - people too. Nathan thanks you profusely for the apple pie - his fave.

Pups are now eating their dinner and will fall deeply asleep for a few hours then come out again before bed. They are tired. You can see them eating and well almost falling asleep as they do after a big play session.

Videos - well I will get them up as soon as I am done the blogs. I do not even have the morning ones done as I had to groom between visits. It's been crazy but fun crazy sharing these pups with you and everyone is so genuinely nice.

Pups kept knowing what to expect with these visits and they were downright excited to see everyone. It was wonderful to see.

16 pups is a great deal of work but these pups truly are outstanding and no humps to get them through. I think the social with so many with each other helped them to be amazing.

I am not going to miss the work but I am so going to miss each and every single pup.

8 Week Plus Visit

Here is the gallery.

I am trying to get the blogs done shortly as I still have another dog to groom. We took up both sides of the room so I tried to have 2 videos going at the same time. I just let it run and as I groomed a dog, I uploaded videos

We are not alone in this craziness called dogs. Our son washed floors while I did the bathroom, laundry, pup pen clean up and on and on. There are 3 of us and we like a decently cleaned house and well our son that lives with us can be a bit go go go about all things that we do but without him, we couldn't do it like we do. I realized many of you didn't realize the son lives here and helps with the dogs. He loves the dogs. But his timing is terrible. He was finishing the kitchen floor 10 minutes before arrival and I was walking with a towel trying to dry the floor - sort of hysterical. We will do it on a schedule twice tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed the pups. It was their 1st time in the kitchen playing.

I want to say a deep felt  thank you to those that brought food. You have no idea how that helped with this crazy schedule and we do it all again tomorrow.

The dogs are actually already playing upstairs. So, I have to clean up the pads in the pen and freshen everything up till bedtime when I wash the  floors in the xpen and change out blankets and do water dishes.

Till tomorrow when we do it all again twice. Going to be fun!

Baths and Blow Dry

Here is the bath gallery. There are unique galleries on each blog.

I had Nathan helping me this time but it took much longer. We didn't go by litter. We just washed. I got everything ready and Nathan didn't take many photos. Each time he left me doing it by myself with a phone call, bathroom what have you, I juggled and took photos myself. I tried to get you quantity. If I didn't, apologies.

It did take me longer than last time. It is faster and easier to air dry. I setup 2 crates with towels on the bottom. I put my 2 dryers over each crate. I filled the tub. The new grate was perfect. I shampoo and then rinse and then handed them to Nathan to dry with a towel and put them in a crate. I think we did 6 at once then 6 at once then 4 at the end. As it was cool outdoors there was no air drying. Pups were still wet and by the time the 16 was done, I pulled out my forced air dryer and blew out the water from each puppy. This took between 5 to 10 minutes a pup. I did this myself.

As you can see in this photo, I blew the air and the water was removed. Usually I do not use a forced air dryer. It is loud and has a lot of force. Even the adults hate it but I figured I must to get them dry quicker than 2 dryers over the top of the crates. How were they? They were relaxed and amazing. They made it much easier. Despite the time it took, it could have been much more difficult if they were afraid. I have never had pups that dealt with the forced air dryer so well. I am so thoroughly impressed!

Next bath will be the day before departure and be of them exclusively.

See you tomorrow. Videos coming shortly.

Tight Schedule

Gallery is on Nami's blog.

Pups are to have a baths tomorrow and they say rain. That means no air drying. So, it will mean pups in crate with dryers on. Otherwise 1 puppy at a time equals 15 minutes per pup time 16. That means 4 hours of bathing - oh boy. I have not washed the moms. I will skip it this time as they usually get baths once a month vs every 2 weeks. I also have 2 adult dogs to bathe.

Bring your cameras. My printer is still not working without jamming. Take a photo of your top 3 so you can share it with us, please. It's going to be an insane 3 days. Then puppy selection and all the things to get ready. Nathan has already ordered the supplies to the puppy bags and there are so many things I must make if I have the time. I will do my best to do my usual.

Check out the videos.

Inside Play

Here is the gallery.

As it is the next day, I assume you will be concerned about the soreness and the output situation. Both are no issues except one puppy ate a corner of a pad and passed the blue backing. It happens and they do pass it but geez pups.

They are full of it. I think I have a couple of more videos to upload. I was interrupted and they are running like banshees upstairs while I type.

Vet Visit

No videos today - apologies. See why on Hallie's blog. I am just not superhuman. I also had a printer that kept jamming. I HATE Epson but love the ecotank idea.

Pups were all good. We only had a few that screamed from the microchip. Some had to be held tight. Most were great. We shall see how they are tomorrow.
