Very Late

Sorry, I am late as I had 8 dogs to do for others on my day off. I am going to change my day off to Monday or Tuesday. It just makes more sense despite the fact that I would like to do things on the weekend sometimes too. I started at 8am and finished at 730pm. I have a full day of grooming tomorrow. Hoping its warm on Tuesday so I can swim. We shall see.

If anyone is going to class, if you can get 4 bags of treats, I will buy them from you. As you know I can't go but they are the only ones who sell the Merrick Treats in that form. Let me know, please.

We have had rain and the gazebo has held up. Still have to cut the cedars back and put it in position and screw it to the deck but we have time for that.

We had a wonderful selection of dogs today that departed from Levon and Trigger, Elvis, Elvis' brother Barney and Moxie. Tomorrow the house empties out and that's why tomorrow is busy grooming wise. 

Tomorrow we also have some more puppy potential families for the Rowan and Emmy pups. It is a perfect time to get a pup as it's after summer holidays and before winter holidays. 

Those of you on our list, expect Nathan to ask you about the Saffron puppies. We usually wait a couple of weeks before contacting you. We did breed Adele and Jeannie for debut in a couple of months. Can't wait till the heats are over. We pray Inula doesn't come in. We may be spaying her as we are not planning on breeding tibetan terriers. 

Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday. It is cooler but please heat - a few more weeks please!! I need to swim!

Magic came for a spa day for her birthday and then headed off to night time celebrations. 

Happy Birthday to Magic, Tangles, Finn and Joey. How did 4 years go by so fast?

Normalcy

Leti is thrilled to have 1 of her babies here - us too. Elvis is having a great time but he plays so hard I am constantly putting his hair up. heh

Levon and Trigger stopped in and oh my thet are delish fun!

We are back to normal. My friend departed yesterday. She was sick so we just swam a bit and ate well. :-)

Nathan is off on a fishing trip with the guys next week and so far I have 5 gals in heat. Oh boy plus pups. When he gets back I may go out on strike for a day.

The gazebo still needs to be tightened up but its up and being used.

Here is today's gallery. Not much as I am still juggling as I want my dogs clean before Nathan goes away and that means my usual plus those scheduled for others. So, although I said normalcy, I am still late on the blogs. Sorry about that.

Saffron's pups are still sleeping 2 plus hours - sometimes more. They fed at 6pm and they are still sleeping. The larger they get the more they will sleep. 

It's past tv time - oh well. Can't watch anything substantial as its too late. But the dogs are sitting with Nathan and he is watching. 

We have a 9 year old rescue coming in. As I have my hands full Zoe (the rescue) will go up to Sudbury on Sunday. The dog resides in Toronto. Makes me sad when we get a rescue in but happy when we find them a home.

Before Departure

Before Sandy (my friend) departed we got the gazebo done and we got a click camera session of Ella and Roxie jumping in the pool. Now I am feverishly playing catch up. My friend was sick so we just waded in the pool and I didn't truly have the entire time off but I slacked on grooming and now I will pay. 

Nathan goes away next Thursday on his fishing trip for a true get away. So next week may be short on blogs too. We shall see. 

Now off to class and try to look human.

The Gazebo

2 more panels to go and sealing. We may be done by tomorrow or tonight. Oh my gad! Don't do the same. Your relationships may not survive. hahahaha

It is done (850pm) but not anchored down or screws tightened but wow this tested family.

Short Update

Blogs are short. We are having fun but we have company. Hope you understand. It will be this way till Thursday or Friday.

Yeah gazebo will suddenly get done sometime before the weekend. I grow weary of this - honest.

Still Not Done

Only thing left is the roof and the screws are too short. hmmm Off to Home Depot tomorrow to get 16 long screws - black. It's closed today. Maybe tomorrow it will get done.

We are going short till Thursday night. Only other post I will do today is if the gazebo gets up. Got to laugh as I am as sick of it as you are as sick of hearing it. But won't we all celebrate when it is finished? Daughter is coming over at 3 to start in on it. I am off to the airport to pick up my friend. 

We now have 3 dogs in heat. No, we are not breeding 3. 

Grand daughters go to school tomorrow. 

It's a warm day and I may get a pool day in. We shall see.

Till later - perhaps. No news means we gave up on the project.

It's the Weekend

We really had a blast today but to say it was a lazy, relaxed day would be lying. We have been busy.

I have a gal friend coming in that I haven't seen in 10 plus years but I talk to her online daily. We have been friends longer than anyone else I know. She'll just be visiting for 4 days. It means I will have to try the new Shwarma place around the corner.  I heard it is really good. We will have to swim (didn't today). Not sure what else but I won't be doing grooming other than brushing here and there. This is my holiday. Nathan has his in a couple of weeks with the guys. 

So, the point is blogs will be short for 4 days. I do so apologize but you will all survive, I am sure.

Tomorrow the daughter and boyfriend and his kids will be swimming and finishing the gazebo. Dennis is working on it now. Yeah that %^$# gazebo still. I so look forward to taking a photo when completed and never speaking about it again. Well....

We also have 2 girls in heat. I am not saying who. Just know it's a crazy house here. 

Now off to help with that unnamed item outside and maybe get some tv time in.

Long Weekend

Just a few clicks today.  We had the 6 week visit. We cleaned the house. Did laundry - all the fun stuff that we wish magically would do itself. I also had a FULL day of grooming and more asking me that I had to turn down. I do so apologize but last minute on a Saturday and a holiday weekend, not good timing. Still, I feel bad. But that's just me.

Dogs have been having fun in and outside. I am about to move the play area for the pups so we can work on that evil gazebo. The daughter is still not home yet so may as well do the prep work. 

We can all celebrate when it gets done or thrown out in the trash. At this point it is debatable which it will be. 

We had a few extra visitors this weekend as everyone decided it was extra nice outside so why not. I get that.

I plan to swim tomorrow that is unless we are delayed with that no name thing and it needs to be assembled. I so hope to get some dogs in. It's getting to be almost the last hooray. <sigh> Will hate when the pool closes and so will some of our dogs but they also love the trampoline effect of the safety cover. It's like the end of a holiday though for me. I get caught up on the PVR. I no longer care about the garden and well if that white stuff falls, I can click grand photos of the dogs. 

We will see what unfolds. Have a great long weekend - folks!

Catch Up

Here is a gallery of a few photos of the last couple of days.

This is how photo taking goes. We are sitting eating breakfast. Suddenly Reggie and Bissli start playing full out. You get up, get the camera and it stops - quite literally. Even if you have the camera in hand and you stand up it interrupts the play. So, sometimes I click and they don't know and other times they halt midstream. It's frustrating to say the least. But I still try.

I never managed to get in the pool today. I so wanted to. Nathan got his nap. I washed floors, did pups outside, inside, did laundry and the list goes on. 

Only Farley and Cinnamon showed up in class last night. I have a gallery for you to see but I will have to get to the video. Not tonight. Realize both dogs missed last weeks class. Farley was amazing especially since Christine was so busy this week that training was I think only twice. Bravo you smart lil beauty!

Bissli departs tonight. Murphy, Winston and Reggies arrived. 

I am exhausted so signing out. I hate having all the house cleaning plus. argh.

Class Tonight

Older Photo that is a KeeperTeddy arrived. Holly dropped in for the day. I haven't a single click of the older crew. Nathan was out this morning and Dennis sleeping so I brushed and combed out vs. clicking. 

The daughter says the gazebo will be up by the end of Labour Day. Off to class.... Got to brush Cinnamon as I didn't have time to wash her. It happens. So, she is a scallywag!

Going Home

Daisy is going home today. She has had a TON and I mean a TON of fun. She will be missed. Now that school will be starting, it's getting quiet here. That's okay. We need that every now and then and besides on Monday I have a friend coming. Yeah, I told you about that but I am excited about it. 

Once every couple of weeks I have someone come to help me clean the house. They do jobs that are not fun. She did the toilets, the bed changes, the floors, the tubs. She quit today. She told me the factory work that she does extended her time and she no longer can juggle both. I get it. <sigh> Oh fun. Now I get to do that too.  Perfect timing before a friend is coming. Got to laugh. 

Now to create a chart to make each person around here responsible for something. :-) 

Jon also told me his car is dying - an electrical problem. Joy. Down to 1 car again with 3 people using it - YIKES!

5 Years Ago Today

StellaStella went home 5 years ago today and her litter mates went home staggered around the same time. Another grand milestone!

Hi nathan and darlah, I just can't let this day go without a celebration. I know I am repeating myself,lol, but she truly is the perfect dog. I get so many comments, especially how she looks up at me every 5-6 steps. I plan to register her in September for a therapy dog. We are both enjoying my early retirement.  Talk to you soon.

Getting Quiet

It's getting quiet. Kids will soon be back in school and trip will be finished for some for a bit.

We had a mad game of retreive today. We really have a blast playing it. Some participate, some not and then we do it again and new dogs get involved. Problem is I can't take photos while playing. Oh well.

Want to say thank you to Mabel's mom. She gave me a tip for grooming and I will tell you it is so appreciated. She knew I was juggling but I did them the way I always do despite her saying if you don't have time, I understand. So, deepest appreciation!

Ruth also brought over a pie. When it gets crazy around here - crazy busy, well it's appreciated so deepest thanks!

Now to fit in my own dogs plus Logan and Panda. It's that time again. I am just trying to get the Saffron pups old enough that I can relax. Not that I am not but I don't like that rush to wash and dry and watch a video and run to put a pup on experience when I am washing. It surely makes me sweat. hahahaha

Next week I have a friend coming in. She is one of my oldest friends. I am going to try to keep grooming to a minimum and spend some quality time with her. Nathan will have to pull up his bootstraps for the 4 days that she is here and work his fanny off. I will then do the same when he goes on his fishing trip in September. 

I get her from the airport on the 5th and take her back on the 8th. Not quite 4 days but almost.

Short Update

We had a very busy day playing. But tv time is calling and Mia needs to be washed for tomorrow early morn pickup so.....

Here's the gallery. Everyone is getting quite well. The pups seems to really like the adults. Cinnamon and Velvet was playing their hearts out. Too bad Velvet is departing shortly.

Too Hot

Had a busy night so no update today. Got Moxie cleaned up. I did get a quick swim in. Had pups outdoors. Working on galleries. Penny, Goldie, Ziggy and Moxie departs today. The Grace arrived and is having a grand time. 

Everyone is well, just busy and every now and then less is better. :-)

Visitors and Pals

Mabel is just like Spice. You brush her up and she persists in rubbing her face this way and that. It's a riot to watch.

In the photos you will see a small xpen that we had for the pups today and the pile of gazebo pieces xpened apart so the dogs do not get into it. 

I also finally uploaded the Cinnamon and Pals video unedited. I must admit the delay was due to not being able to find the bloody video camera and then I remembered I had it in my bag for class. Of course.

No swimming today. We played retreive. We played hide the treats. We played competition. What is competition? I test them on sit, down, stay, beside me, stand and at the end everyone gets a treat but those that do it quickly get bonus treats. Not everyone was happy about that but we also teach patience. :-)

Well, till tomorrow. We have plans to chill outside and then watch tv. 

Fun in the Sun

I just love Clarity. She is such a beauty. She looks a lot like her Momma Panda.

Christine was over and we only took a few dogs out to go for a swim. I was not in the mindset to have barking, silly, crazy fun today. I think I am playing recovery but we managed to get the puppies in plus Roxie and Ella and of course Farley and Clarity. 

Mom takes her to the side of the pool and Clarity jumps high and into the pool. It's a riot. She also has Farley attempting the same.

Everyone had fun today but I just didn't have it in me to dry so many and I needed a subdued day. I didn't swim. I thought it was cold and for that moment it was as the sun was in but now it is sunny and Dennis is in the pool. 

Time to watch tv?? Can we do that so early?

Panda says - how drab is that. Don't they know it is supposed to rain only at night? Here are a few head shots.

It has been to busy to do do a large gallery or even to brush my own dogs but I did brush out all visitors. Mine can wait till tomorrow. I am out of steam. I am so looking forward to Nathan coming home. TV time and getting draped in dogs. I may coax some dogs out in the rain with me. It is warm rain. I guess no pool day. I truly tried to make it. It ain't happening today.

Penny had arrived. It's nice to see. Moxie also is here and well she is having a blast with Murphy and Cinnamon. Daisy is eating her food like she is starving. I could go on and on but I need a time out. Catch you tomorrow!
