Monday, May 26, 2025 at 6:14PM Dogs had fun. I think I got food poisoning. I was so sick most of the night. I am better now.
Dogs came - dogs departed and well they had fun.
The dogs sure enjoyed the sun outside today.
Now I am crawling on the couch and snuggling with dogs. I have a full day of grooming and exercise, of course! Can we swim yet?
Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 7:01PM This is a windspinner I made. Just having fun. It helps to decorate the garden.
We went to a seminar today at Whos Walking Who. Gillian is back involved so it was great to see her. Dogs came - dogs departed and more tomorrow. I have to get up and do 3 dogs starting at 730am so they are ready.
When we were coming back from Ajax we noticed low funnel clouds but by the time we hit the DVP, they were gone. It is now bright and sunny outdoors.
Dennis was on a marathon of cleaning dog beds so for the last 2 days, I have done way too much laundry. He does this often. LOL
Getting tired of the rain. How about you?

We had a lot of activity indoors. Dogs played. We played running games and hide and seek. They had a ton of fun but think they enjoy sun and warmth. Well maybe I do but I suspect they do too!

No gallery today. The dogs are getting muddy and wet. I almost want to give up it is so bad and it is supposed to be this way all week.
Pippin has departed. Thanks you truly for Purdy's cherry cordials. I haven't had them in eons. So genuinely lucky to have them in our lives.
We went to get Starter Mousse as dogs like Harlow need the softness and the way she likes it makes it desirable. She doesn't do great with hard kibble these days. Warning, if you get some, cans have reduced half in size and are now up to 4.35 a can twice a day. It used to be just months ago 3.00 a can and twice the size. Raising prices have begun. Getting crazy. We are down to our last bag of kibble so we will see what has happened with prices. If this keeps going, we may have to raise boarding fees. We are trying not to even though we are cheaper than everyone.
It is damp cold outside. Dennis is doing crazy games with the dogs inside as he totally believes they need fun - me too. We do this everytime the weather is bad. We work their minds and body. Nathan does his part snuggling at tv time.

Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 6:26PM Inbetween rain the dogs went out. We had off and on rain all day and they say it will be like that all week.
We also had no internet but we have a backup so I managed to still get on. Our outage also made the news. LOL I suspect it was due to all Richmond Hill being out due to an update they did and Scotia Bank was completely down.
Dogs still did runs in the hall and games. They have been very busy. They are now chilling watching tv in my office and in the tv room as well as hanging out all over Dennis.
I have to laugh as one dog that isn't supposed to have a bath came in black so I am drying them out and going to attempt to blow the mud out of the coat. Lets hope I am successful. I have NO control if a dog rolls or doesn't. I can act like a crazy person to stop them but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 5:08PM As we are exposed to so many dogs, it is fun to see the ones that do smile widely. It makes your heart skip a beat.
We have much rain all week coming so today Nathan and the dogs are lounging. Dennis just got finished feeding and I am blogging - soon to do the dishes.
We have sun out so outside is great at the moment. We all want summer. Will we ever really get it?
I think I recovered from nonstop activity with family being here. I feel old - lol. As much as I exercise nd get healthy, I was exhausted.
We have a couple of bird baths in the backyard and the dogs were chasing the birds that landed. It is as if it is a game. The birds fly away. The dogs lounge and then it all begins again.

I am starting to groom tomorrow at 7am.Pickups all seem to be early and today is my day off.

Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 4:54PM I have to laugh. Leo drank a huge face of water and Pixie was eating her hair. They so make me laugh. It was a great visit with them. They have now departed.
Family has departed. They got up at 2am to drive back to North Carolina. It was great to see them. I gave a sticker maker to the grandkids as I do not use it that much but they just adored using it so it found a new home.
Now I need to groom a dog and then recover. I am tired after this weekend and I so wish it was warm. I have a sweatshirt on outdoors and still am cold. As a matter of fact I have a sweatshirt on indoors too. I so want a consistent week of heat. We shall see when that comes.
I have a friend doing supernatural with me. It is great to see she is using it and she is having fun. Fun is what it is about.
The dogs are chilling mostly indoors now. A plant was starting to turn brown due to cold and Dennis had to desire to bring the plants in so it is what it is.

Dogs are enjoying. They have been playing. I did manage to get my exercise in but it was truncated. It is what it is. I could have swam but the girls didn't have their swimsuit - for shame.

Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 5:53PM Family has come in and we are busy, busy, busy but in a good way. I was hoping the weather was better but my friend in the mountains next to Park City, Utah had snow. Imagine that so we are not so bad.
Dogs had fun today. Nava was here for her combout.
It was a lot of fun with the dogs but we await pickups and then Dennis will watch the dogs while we head out to eat with family.
Dennis vacuumed the deck yesterday. Yes - a wet and dry vac and he vacuumed it. I laughed. It worked.
He is tired of cleaning floors due to debris they drag in.

I just had combed out Hallie and here she is a mess of all messes. I laugh as it shows how much she embraces life. Cassie is sitting next to her. She is still a full of life busy dog that we adore.
Dogs played. It is now sprinkling so they are inside playing.
We have much to do as family is coming in a day earlier than we suspected. Dogs are going to love the grandkids. It will be fun!
Monday, May 12, 2025 at 7:29PM The dogs had fun. Me, I had to transplant plants, check sprinklers, exercise and well getting the bed etc ready for the grandkids coming in on Wednesday. I am thankful that I overwinter my plants. I still have cannas to buy but the rest is from plants we bring in. It saves a great deal in new plants as plants are sky high this year.
We have family coming on Wednesday. I did manage to get into the pool as the dogs watched me. I did that after all the transplanting. I so needed it.
Dogs played like crazy in and out. They totally had a blast.
Harlow looks like she is finally putting on weight. She eats 3 times a day.
I think dogs and a couch is calling me. Dennis is still working.

We had a mad dash of play here throughout the day. I did go to the garden center and oh my gad are plants high this year and so is potting soil. The cheap soil we got from Loblaws was filled with debris. I was unimpressed.
This week we have family coming in so it will be mighty busy. It will be fun but lots to get ready for.
I have 2 apple watch straps if anyone wants for nothing. I use one with a buckle and Apple wouldn't accept a return. One is a magnetic link strap 46mm and the other is a braided solo loop midnight 46mm. They each cost $129 <-- yours for free for pickup. Hate to just throw them away.
Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 6:11PM It was a wonderful day outside today. Kandoos mom went way out of her way to make me a cake and bring me Italian ice that they don't make any longer. How wonderful is that and we got to see Kandoo too - bonus!
Above is Harlow. She was lounging today outside. She was in heaven. It makes me happy when she so enjoys!
I am trying to go to a garden center tomorrow. Went to the Farmer's market closeby but they are not going to do plants this year. For shame.

Friday, May 9, 2025 at 5:51PM We have family coming in so we - well Dennis and I are organizing the basement so the grandkids can sleep there. That meant moving exercise equipment etc. We also have a bed there so I have to make it and get a lot of cozy blankets down there. They come in next week but I really don't want to do it last minute.

The sun was out bright today. The dogs loved being outside. I am also trying to get the pool ready. They say one day next week may be swimming weather. It feels so late this year for heat. Oh well.

The dogs found the rabbit today and chased the poor thing all over the yard despite me saying NO!
Nathan is sick so he has been in bed all day.
We had fun despite the cool.
Family coming next week. It is going to be crazy busy times!
Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 5:28PM Wonderful weather for lounging for humans and dogs alike. Poor Nathan has major allergies so he is miserable.
Next week our grandkids and son and daughter-in-law come to visit so we are busy getting the pool ready and the bedrooms they will use. It is going to be fun - busy but fun.
Pippin was in pure heaven - well they all were sitting outside. I need to clean the air conditioner before we can put it on. My office is mighty warm but still the dogs come to keep me company. They love like none other.
