Snow Fun 2015

Just a few photos of our snow day. The dogs are truly having a blast. They love, love, love the paths that I created and then Dennis perfected. 

Before Snow Fun

They say snow is coming but I don't see it yet. I surely hope so. I won't be shovelling as the hand won't work that way so if we get it I get to enjoy without the work. Nice!

Here's a few photos from today. Scruffy and Pepper and Rocco are now home watching the game soon. Don't you go kissing everyone Pepper. hehehe

We are under another extreme cold alert so watch your dog paws please. When they start lifting their paw bring them in.

Now to watch the game and chill out and wait for that white stuff that probably won't come.

Scruffy, puppy outdoors - no problem and well Pepper said its TOO cold so in she goes after 2 minutes. That's okay, she is now resting on Nathan's head as they all take a nap.

We think Roxie may be coming in - joy not!

Kona doesn't seem to mind the very cold. It is interesting to see who does mind it and who doesn't. But people are like that too. One is shaking amd one has their coat open. Which one are you?

It is so very biting cold - or so it feels like it.

Pepper is doing a lot of watching today. Oh she is playing but tonight Scruffy is playing more.

Happy 4th Birthday

We want to wish a very happy 4th birthday to Sophie, Kona and Ty. How did 4 years old go by so fast. Kona has been having a blast here. We gave him his very own kangaroo tendon. Everyone was jealous but its his bday and I didn't have enough for everyone. That is okay. They all got a small treat too - just not a tendon.

Sorry no update other than a birthday update. I will play catch up tomorrow. Its taking me forever to upload the class videos.

A Bit of Snow

Yes, it snowed a bit.

Yes, everyone got soaked as it was wet snow.

Its been a pleasure having the Brewski but dad is almost finished his training and then he is working from home. We will miss him but hope to see him when he has to go into the office.

We have had a truly full and exhausting day and we now have class tonight. Charlie has had a bath and looks gorgeous. I bet you he will sleep at home a deep deep sleep. He has been busy playing and playing.

We have had a fun day but am a bit tired from an early morning. Nathan got his nap in - not me.

Fun Daze

Oh is it love... proof that Kona is smitten with Adele. Always each visit he just turns into a - whatever you want - I am YOURs.

I know I promised you photos but I put them in a gallery - pups and adults and I didn't get to all of them - sorry. I will try to do another big gallery in the next couple of days. I am just trying to save my hand for a day or two.

No Photo Day

Seems I am having an issue uploading photos on the blog. I kept waiting to see if that would change and it isn't. So, this is the only blog I am updating and its not much of an update. I have placed in a report and I hope I can resume uploading photos tomorrow.

Maddie arrived in such a fun manner. She is a joy watching her play her heart out even as I type she is jumping over tunnels and having a blast.

Kona became my neck warmer today. Nathan had to take Dennis out to get a replacement retainer as he lost his. Not sure how but 300 dollars later he will have it next week. So, it was me and the dogs while they did that. So, I sat in the recliner surrounded by dogs and Kona snuggled into my neck.

Everyone either surrounded me or laid all over me as we settled in. It was a moment. I can't explain but a warm and cozy one for me and it happens all the time. It's the moments that I treasure.

Everyone played their hearts out today. Life is good for all. Tomorrow - a better update!

Crazy Sunday

Come on Mr. Nathan food please!

In a day or 2 or three Spice will be out with the crew. The boy craziness has subsided but we are extra careful and make sure there is no reaction. Kat's still wagging his tail. Truffie says okay its over. Besides Spice loves it on the couch here.

She does get to go out with the girls so she is not in isolation.

As you can see its rather icy out there but rough ice so not slippery. Kona and the rest of the crew have had no issue with walking on it.

Hey, its cold. No snow but that cold persists. Can we now have snow?

Its been a busy day. We defrosted the standup freezer. It took all afternoon and ,any. many loads of towels but now it is sitting drying and we will reload it and finish all the towel drying.

I have been grooming for others. Thumb is majorly swollen and so is the middle finger so I am doing short blogs. It's another not many photos day. I am going to sit with the dogs today and tomorrow and hope the hand is better after icing. I am getting excited to see Maddie tomorrow night.

Mish Mash

First a huge Happy Birthday to Kathy (Kona's mom) baking in the sun, I bet. We are all so jealous. Funny that this month we are busy but March Break we are not. That makes me laugh. 

I ended up grooming most of the day and the dryer broke and Dennis fixed it so I was drying with one dryer - not fun. Using scissors with a bum hand is mighty interesting but thats okay. I will rest tomorrow after departures and friends visit. 

This is Tiger Lily on her way to holidays - lucky gal. She's off to have fun.

That I got these photos was a miracle. The camera didn't have a stick in it so Nathan clicked and didn't notice. Then instead of getting the stick he said I am on my way out with the dogs - another missed moment. I was grooming. Then finally he took just a few. the dogs were ALL playing but he didn't manage to capture it all. My fault. The stick was on my desk. (yes I am being cheeky)

A Day

Jazmyn and Marlee arrived. They headed out to run around and have fun. I groomed all day - don't even say anything to me but I am having a stiff drink and maybe I will sleep.

Nathan had just brushed Kona up for me and well he looks like he has been having fun. Hugo is here and Kona is trying to figure out what he is all about. Hugo goes back home on Sunday after chasing his willies out. Whatever willies are. Hugo is trying to figure that out. 

Jazmyn dropped in today and its as if she never left. She knows her place on the couch, in the tv room, where she eats. It's a riot. 

Jesse is enjoying the new visitors. He's been really playing and so has Murphy.

Meeting of the minds... It's as if they are doing a football huddle. Got to laugh.

Tomorrow we get to see Tia, Teddy and Benji for the day. Now to kill this pain in my hand - oh boy anyone want to give me a new thumb and finger? 

That is all I could muster today. Tomorrow is a busy day too. 

Short Update

Only got a few photos. Have class tonight and I know if I am updating after class its not going to happen. I also have to get treats ready and crates etc. So - enjoy what I have. -)

Thinking about it, Kona isn't concerned about Jesse at all. He will even play a game of retrieve with him. So, large, small its all about the attitude. 

Stick Run

Adele is happy to play with Inula again.

Too bad Dennis didn't get better photos but Kona was playing with the younger set. He rather likes Ella but he also likes Tiny.

They did a lot of running today. It always makes for a better sleep when they play and play.

More tomorrow. Hand still is swollen but I can now make a fist. We are making progress.

Visit Today

Levon and Trigger came and oh my gad were they excited to be here. They haven't been here for awhile as they now have a built-in grandma to watch them but I suspect they truly missed the play. It was a riot to watch the excitement.

These 2 really missed each other.

Short Update Again

Hi Nathan:

This is Stella and my godson. They were buddies from the first visit at 6 weeks old. I found some old pictures on your website of Stella and the 2 litters.i have never seen such beautiful puppies that grow into the best dogs ever! I will be looking after a 12 year old havanese in February for a week.

My hand is on fire and swollen so I am trying to rest it. After doing Scuffy and Pepper tonight, I am taking a break till Friday or Saturday and Nathan is going to groom. He won't do it like me but if I am going to get back to doing it like me then I need to rest the hand. 

Dennis took a bunch of photos. Here is a gallery. It is icy outside so the dogs are not running and really I don't want them to. They can run inside. Dennis also took a bunch of Kona playing with Ella. Not a single photo came out of them. It seems he had it in the wrong setting and never looked and what he was clicking. So sorry about the Kona. 

Not a single photo of Coco and Doozie came out either and they were glistening white after the bath that I gave them. Well, at least Carol and Malcolm got to see them all clean. I bet they are resting well after all the play.

Life of learning the camera. Kona also loves going downstairs and hanging out with Jonathan. Jon and his friends love playing ball with him. He loves feeling special. :-) Leti is saying hey that is what I used to do - no fair!

Short Updates Today

Clean your windows lady? Gee I just did yesterday. The hand is well the hand and I am still grooming - don't ask me why but they need to be done. So, blogging, taking photos will wait. We are going short in the blogs and I did have the best intentions.

Everyone played. Everyone got groomed. 

Maybe tomorrow I will do better. Forgive me.

What a Day

We have a lot of photos but I do not think we have but a couple of Coco and Doozie? Why? Dennis had a terrible migraine and they spent most of the day keeping him company. It was quite nice so I apologize Carol for the lack of photos but we will do better tomorrow. You should be proud that they were taking care of him.

Get this, tonight Nathan has one and is now in bed. I am not sure what is going on but please keep the migraines away from me.

We had Bonham, Tuffy, Darcy that dropped in just for a few hours. Kona was in rare form capturing the ball first but every now and then Molly grinned as she got to it first.

Just Faces Today

I groomed today as gad I love my husband but looking at these dogs I couldn't stand it so I may have a gin and tonic tonight - thanks Lynda! The hand is swollen again but I am learning techniques to try not to aggravate it too much. Stupid things like opening a can is deadly with an archaic can opener. Who has an electric can opener? Not I. I am laughing.

Nathan has been a lot of help. I just keep looking at dogs and saying this one needs to be done and this one. So, I had to.  Oh well at least when it comes to bath time it won't be a huge job.

So today I simply took some head shots. It was very cold out and we did quick ins and outs. They say warmth is coming tomorrow. Those of you on holidays must be doing the happy dance as this cold is not fun. Can you send us some heat please?

 Kona's mom brought these balls that all the dogs love. Kona will play for a solid half hour with the Ella and him. Thank you - great idea!!

Rush Before Class

So I am trying to get the blogs done before class. So lots of photos - less talk.

I love Tucker's Rastafarian look. Buddy is here too. I call this a meeting of the minds or how can we win? Everyone was playing a game of catch me if you can. Dennis took photos. I riled them up - on purpose but Dennis didn't catch everyone. I wanted him to click Kona running his fool head off. He was thinking of Larry and wanted to make sure he got the Molly. He thought photos of her will make him feel better. Dennis warms my heart at times.

Yes this is the Molly running her body here and there. It was great to see.

Everyone had fun today. We are off soon to take Tiny and Ella to class. Clarity goes to class next month. Still not up to par grooming but I am trying.

So a Night and Day

Nathan had no sleep, well he never has no sleep but he was taking care of a dog that really needed to go not once, not twice but several times. That's okay. This dog has an irritable bowel (feel bad for him) and we knew that (mom knows too) but that means Nathan needs a nap. I just struggle through the day. 

So he spent time sniggling with the dogs in my office and when he said the dogs didn't let him sleep he snuggled in the tv room and I clicked a few photos.

Nathan did a fair bit of grooming. I did a little bit till the hand said no more. Kona arrived and settled right in and no not bothered by Jesse at all. Usually there is a period of who are you but when Jesse went to do the play thing and Kona wasn't keen on it, Nathan told Jesse no and he listened. then Kona went ah my guy and settled into the back of his neck very confident he found his spot to nap too.

Inula and Jesse has this love of cold and snow. They seem to be kindred souls. 

It was a good day but not a highly active, crazy day. Sure we had runs and outdoor times etc but we also had tv time and the dogs LOVED it.
