Updates From Pups

Here is a photo of Molly and Katie...................after arriving home from grooming.  They were zonked out!!  First time Katie was groomed and had a hair cut.  Her hair was about 3 1/2 inches long and I had her cut down to about 1 inch.  Despite daily brushing she was getting matted.  They look so adorable.  They often sleep side by side.  Best buddies!!  Molly is so patient with her....never ever bites her or growls.  She is the best older sister.  Kids on the street always pat them and often ask me if Molly is Katie's mommy.  So cute!!

No Commentary

Just going to add a few photos. I had baths to do, grooming and I will be back at this tomorrow. I will tell you that everyone had a complete blast with each other and as usual at this time Nathan is watching tv with them. Me, I am blogging and doing pups.

Everyone gets along with everyone and the playing has been fun to see.

No Grooming Day

I decided with everything going on that I was going to have a no grooming day.

But when you cut the hair short like Rocky it doesn't matter if you skip a day. Tomorrow the Rocky gets a bath and goes home smelling beautiful. He recently got skunked (not here) so we will have to do a skunk off treatment. Tomato juice doesn't work folks and it stains. One year we had 3 dogs get hit and our late golden. That was not fun.

Rocky is rolling around with Moseby as I type and having a grand old time.

The weather was great after the torrential rains. We wished we had the pool on. Oh well...

Another Sunday....

Visits

Inula went to visit Jazzy today and those outings to meet new friends are so important. So many shoes - well what to do? Glad Inula behaved. If you are ever shopping for clothes visit Eye on Fashion in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Everyone is doing great. We didn't put on the pool but should have. Been too busy but that is okay.

Tiger dropped in for a bath and Ty for fun. Rocky is playing his heart out with everyone from Truffie to Adele. Oh my. Such a fun day to watch.

6 loads of laundry today - yikes. Everyone groomed - hooray!

Investigating

It is that time of year. We are seeing rabbits and the dogs are interested - even Rocky.

I even was out on the deck barefooted and had to run in the dirt to stop the crew from catching the rabbit. It's never held such interest before but here they are seeing it as a game and here I am putting on shoes from now on.

Well, I got my shower in as my feet were black.

We got all but one plant indoors now but they say the weather will be warm tomorrow. We shall see.

Our grass is beyond ridiculous. Jon has not cut it and it truly needs it. He says he hasn't had the time. Well I sure haven't or it would have been done. Maybe tomorrow - kids....

Been a long day. I had baths to do and I am overtired. Looking forward to 10pm.

At 9 I start cleaning all the water dishes, changing the pens if needed and thats all on me as Dennis is sleeping. Nathan takes the dogs out for their last hoorah.

I can't even read the ipad for more than a minute in bed. Maybe tomorrow I will wake up refreshed.

Real Short Today

Think I am falling on my face with just 4 hours sleep. But still the dogs have had fun and I had 3 baths to do today between everything else. This is Scruffy's fave ball. He will run, sabotage the rest just so its all his. I love it!!

Slim Update

Sorry not much of an update today. I promise to do better tomorrow. The dogs have been having fun. They are all draped over Nathan while he watches tv and I blog.

We have roofers next door so we have had to do a 'no bark' game. Then the gardeners came next door on BOTH sides and well some could care less and others say - intruder alert so we are working on that.

It's not all conditioning. We have had a lot of fun.

I am just not up to long blogging.

The crew had fun. I did do more baths just in case I get caught with a delivery. She's nesting again. Silly gal but until I see a sac coming I am not believing it.

But we do crazy things just in case. Dogs had a blast today. We had a ton of running play. As a matter of fact Scruffy is so tired he is napping. hahahaha

Rain Really?

Scruffy and Kat have been partners in crime all day. Kat rather likes him. Maybe Scruffy just likes that slow paced investigation fun too that Kat is so fond of. They were peeking behind the pool house, under the plants as we have a brave rabbit that keeps running through. Inula is delighted but usually the Havanese ignore. But no chase - just a game of peek-a-boo, I see you.

Bonham and Tuffie dropped in as their humans were going shopping. They were running up a storm before the rain hit. Interesting enough Tuffie told Inula excuse me. I am the Tuffie - and who do you think you are. hahahaha

Pepper who loves to play with Inula said, I don't think so. Inula was getting so frustrated as if it was this grand conspiracy.

But Pepper finally gave in.

I think Adele is Inula's fave next to Pepper.

Then it started to rain so they all snuggled in on top of the couches and on top of Nathan to dry off and wait their turn for me to brush them out. I do believe this couch fest is their most fave time.

Everyone is having a blast. I am still doing and doing but I am having fun with the dawgs!

Too Crazy Day: UPDATE

Roxie is pretending to have pups today or maybe 2am. I woke up at 6am to wash Brie and Colby as I knew that I couldn't wash and do pups at the same time. I am not sure when I will update but I may but for now everyone is having fun. I even got Zoe and Molly spruced up to depart.

Okay Photos a Bust

I tell Dennis to take photos in auto. He takes them in sports mode. You can't do that in the house unless its rather steady but he likes that its fast. So the photos come out like this. So when I am telling you I don't have photos its cause they all look like this.

Okay so not that bad but...

Most looked like this. He had some of Scruffy playing with Inula and they are so bad it makes this one look good. argh

That's okay as he really tries but I have none that you can see of Scruffy and Pepper as they are just not - well okay they are a BLUR. I will take photos tomorrow instead unless Roxie has pups.

Bailey and Bella were over just while mom was at the hairdresser. It was great to see them.

As you can see someone isn't afraid of wet grass.

She even managed to get quite messy but was going ooh this is a bit too wet.

Brie was contemplating getting a ball that fell in but I retrieved it to squash her desire. Her bath wasn't going to happen extra early.

The rain does interesting things to Colby's hair. He gets a total comb out as tomorrow they go home with baths.

This duo doesn't mind the rain but Pepper and Scruffy was not happy with the length of our grass. Jon's not been doing well so the grass is a little high. When it dries out I am going to have to mow it as I can't stand it.

This duo was off looking for the rabbit. Inula may catch it and I am not sure what I will do then.

And Truffie he decides under the gazebo on a table is dry and the best!

Very Short Blog Today

Just have a few photos to share as we had the vets. Everyone is playing but I don't have everyone in these photos. I had the camera at the vets so Dennis didn't click but he told me what he experienced. He told me he had them all running up and down the walkways like crazy banshees. Since back we had the dogs running yet again. I had a missing stick in the camera. It happens.

Nathan gets frustrated with his request for me to click this and the camera is either in the house or missing a stick. When you are busy it happens. It's called LIFE! I am NOT superhuman.

So, I have Brie but not Colby even though he is playing. I have Pepper but not Scruffy even though the Scruffster is playing. With no vet, I vow to do better tomorrow.

Pepper LOVES Inula. Scruffy has not played with her yet. He has so far preferred Adele and Leti. Maybe he finds Inula too in your face? She can be as she is sewing her oats getting comfie but the adults are telling her what the rules are. They are not hard nosed about it. They just correct her as a mom would. She listens but tries things out. This is normal when you are new.

Last night when we watched a show - a comedian Nathan really likes - forget his name (he wasn't that funny but Nathan thought he was), Scruffy was snuggled up against Adele and her with him. Then he climbed up on my lap as I was in the recliner and Adele climbed up too then of course Pepper said me too and Scruffy looked at her to say go play. This is my space and she did. It wasn't in a negative way. He just wanted his time. I am finding the Scruffy more assertive and for such a laid back guy that is a good thing as he is never not nice about it. He just holds his ground these days when he wants  something and my lap and Adele was it. hahaha

But as you can see Pepper is running, playing and having fun! She is simply learning to respect Scruffy's wishes.

No Photo Day

The dogs are all hunkered down as it is pouring outside. Got notified by a friend that she just received bad news about her dog. It reminds me that we all need magic wands, puppy kisses to make life positive. She's going to have a stiff drink, I may have one too and maybe we will Skype and do it together - hahahaha Just teasing. Not making light of it. Just making a note that the dogs absolutely get you by if you allow. No matter what happens, a kiss a snuggle feels better but only if you allow. You must allow!

I also know someone that recently lost their dog and I know they read this blog. My heart goes out to her truly. Good people - crazy mountains we seem to have to climb.

It's raining and the dogs are all piled on Nathan soaked and when I am done I will be blow drying them one by one. Nathan says just brush and put the blowers on as they have to go out again and you get to blow dry them twice. Gee thanks...

Its okay. It keeps me busy.

He is literally drenched and is now changing and getting a ton of blankets so they can snuggle in.

I think tomorrow I am going to send Nathan to get a pumpkin muffin from Tim Hortons. Don't laugh but they are great and makes me feel good till I look at the weight.

The dogs really played their hearts out but Dennis did click some but really I need to teach him how to hold the camera steady as I am getting too many blurry. It happens when you start out. But there are techniques to steady the camera with a long lens on. Teaching is on my to do list.

My to do list grows.

Even Shorter Today

Besides not sure if anyone reads these but... got handling class tonight and as its the first time in eons since I went, I want to. So no time to blog.

Brie is wearing Inula out in a HUGE way. Everyone else is having fun too.

We have had the week of hey here so the dogs are our light. Let's see we had our car broke down - Mega money. We had a water bill and electric bill that came in 3 and 4 times more than usual - no lie. I think we had a leaking toilet that we didn't know about but the electric - was that from so many days of being cold? I can get air but we didn't use it all that much but they insist it is right.Nathan thinks it was the pool. <sigh>

We had 2 fans die this week, 2 humidifiers. I use our fans in the winter and I am not sure the stores have them any longer. Dennis' computer died.

The son came up, left in a blip. Danielle is on the last meds before surgery.

I realized when we went to get Inula I haven't been out in a long time. Sure I walk dogs in the neighborhood but I mean OUT. Nathan has been out a ton and he's out again today.

There is a building around the corner that is almost built. They broke ground the last time I noticed it. yikes.

I slept in my bed last night and all the dogs wanted ME much to Nathan's irritation. That's why they make me say no matter what happens the dogs bring smiles. Do not ever let them not allow you that. They are rather good at taking that frown and turning it upside down.

Very Short Blog Today

I promise I will make up for it unless life gets crazy. Bewer was visiting for the day and the dogs were LOVING the sun. Me too!

Colby and Brie are here and I gave them a one day - get acquainted without this crazy dawg lady brushing them out. This afternoon - after these shots they got  a thorough brushing and combing.

But before then we did the usual running game - well Dennis ran, I clicked. We had a ton of fun and I can say the dogs are happy that Nathan is back. Not that they mind just me. They just missed him too.

But the Roxie still wanted the momma - me.

Having Fun

Interesting relationship between Pepper and Panda. They seemed to click this visit. Is it Panda and her mother role she is falling into?

In out, in out we went today. They adore the wonderful weather much like we do.

Mabel departed and trying to keep her brushed was  test of my abilities. She has now gone and so is Scruffy and Pepper - sniff!

Pepper was ant hunting. No lie. She put her face into the ground sniffing an ant and I am not sure if it tickled her nose but she jumped back and shook her face as if to say what was that? Then she was back at it again. It was such a sedate thing to watch and then suddenly the reaction. I wished I had the video camera.

Looks like Ms Mable is going the havana brown route. Can you see the colour?

Okay Truffie what are you thinking?

Can you brush me again so I can get a treat?

After I washed Mabel, brushed Cali and Adele they did this.

And you think I am fooling when I say its so hard to keep them looking brushed but they are having fun!

Heat to....???

Scruffy says so where are the cushions? I don't need no bloody cushions. He with ease jumped on me outside while I sat in a chair without cushions.

Pepper was mighty confused but boy her hair is coming in nicely. Now back to the quandary. They count on the cushions and well I placed them away last night before the downpour and never placed them back out today. But I realized this confused them. They like the cushions so tomorrow I will put them back out unless it is raining. Just like us they love to laze outside in comfort.

Mabel is a riot. She just loves Cali, Scruffy and Pepper. She says oh boy fun!

Can dogs see their own reflection? It appears Scruffy can. He was so fascinated. I didn't quite get it till he kept it up and I clicked. I wonder what was going through his mind.

Truffie says really she brushed me. But I think rolling is the best and Scruffy and I were having a grand time doing it.

Well Nathan is away till tomorrow night. The van died and is in the shop costing too much. I finished grooming.

Busy Day

Got a very busy day. Mabel, Coach and Sassy dropped in. Our son, daughter family is dropping in. No blog today except to say we are well and we will be back to normal blogging tomorrow. Hope you understand.

Warm and More Warmth Tomorrow

It is hot. We have been busy grooming, playing and hoping tomorrow is hot too so we can actually swim and miss the grooming for a day. :-)

Ty was visiting. He's been having a blast. Nathan is off and I am finally finding time to blog.

We have visitors tomorrow and I am excited - the son, daughter-in-law and grand daughter from Florida. It's his birthday and maybe we will get pool time in with them and the dogs. We shall see.
