Strange

It's strange to have a livingroom back. We are still cleaning outside cushions and getting rooms ready and all the fun stuff that one needs to do and Dennis keeps finding laundry. Can I shoot him? hehehe
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.
The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. Dawgs are wonderful. Abigail has taken over the puppy bed that we got from the lady that does the dishes, houses and shark beds. She seems to be doing better. Fiona slept last night so she is doing well today. They both have some healing to do but they are good!
Everyone got groomed but I didn't click any photos. I am busy doing laundry after removing the xpen. We also got laundry outside and Dennis tells me our outdoor cushions are old but if I must keep them then clean them. They were cleaned when they were put away. hehe. That's Dennis and I suppose I need new but a little at a time or maybe not this year. Got other things on the must get list.
We are also sterilizing the xpen so we can use it for our grand daughter. We are rolling up linoleum and well lets just say we are exhausted and we are far from done.
I want you to know that each litter Nathan seems to take something that no longer fits in this room and I never get it back. The recliner that is now in the tv room. Now the ottoman that he says is better next to the bed - and really do I need it? Well, yeah I sort of do. I would like the recliner too. hahahaha But without it and just a tv and couch and my desk in here it certainly is spacious. At this rate soon I will be sitting on the floor. He laughs but the tv room is his and I suppose the dogs too but without litters this room is the dawgs too. We have no off room limits besides. We are a dawg house. heh
So forgive me. I am making a transition of my own from cluttered with xpens to less than before.
Pool gets opened next week (12th till 19th - no set day - got to love it) and maybe by then Roxie will lose her thoughts to having fun in the pool - me too!! Then the invites happen so get ready to swim!
Fiona and Abigail is home. Risa and Wasabi when they got spayed - no pain pills. Fiona and Abigail is stoned. Nice suture - 1 stitch on each but poor Ms Abs is wimpering. Fiona not. Might be a long night.
First pup goes home at 930 tomorrow.
These were taken before Scruffy, Pepper and Trigger and Levon arrived for a day visit. We will try to click them later.
Gidget playing with the pups can be found on Panda's blog. Many more examples.
Now I am off to go play again with the crew. The weather is simply amazing!
Here are some of the afternoon photos...
The two boys don't mind the muck - go figure. I keep saying NO but they go huh? They do listen but then it gets too inviting again. I am waiting to give them a bath till closer to bedtime so bath photos will be late tonight.
Scruffy wasn't running from the dogs and was even playing and interacting with them. Easier outside as you can just run away if desired.
Kissy kissy with Pepper
Now that they are not trying to feed Truffie is back to playing with the pups.
Playing with Cody!
They are both such happy, happy boys.
Water time... so much play
Happy lazing on the deck!
Catching rays... poor Roxie doesn't seem to know what she should do.
Starting Thursday we will go back to our regular updates. Family will be here but I will still fit it in. Truffs has been wonderful saying goodbye and hello to everyone and saying my milk bar is closed - there is no milk bar to the pups.
Gidget has really settled in and is found snuggled up with Nathan each time we watch tv - Blacklist is on tonight - will we watch it live? She also loves to flirt with the boys. I have to laugh. She truly loves the spunk of the younger gals and is full out playing with them.
Life is good and its great to see her having so much fun.
Oh and I have the camera at the door so Nathan can take photos of the pups - Truffie and Flora's. Will he forget the camera?
I call this the golden gals at play. heh
Got a VERY VERY busy day - dogs going home, pups going home - Crazy house so forgive the short updates.
Its been a long night. The grand daughter is in the hospital - ER 8 hours. Things are not going well. So the beauty of having an ipad in bed is you get messaged.
Good news my back is better. I can't lift or bend over still but I am not in excruciating pain turning over in bed. That was a bit much.
Soon 3 pups go home (sigh) Good adventure for them but I have not had the time desired with them other than washing and prepping them to go. Th back hasn't allowed my usual on the floor fun. Yes, I do that too you just don't see it in the videos.
Rain is coming. We have 3 more baths of pups tonight. I am spent but you know what the dawgs still make all of it worth it and no matter how difficult it gets they make me smile. Not sure what I have done to bring us together - havs and us but thank gad for them even with the grooming.
Cali had felted knots from dogs chewing on her and rolling in the mud and water. I wanted to cry but after much dematting solution she is as good as new. May have to brush her twice a day if she continues these shenanigans. Leti plays just as hard but doesn't roll in the mud and water. I think Cali is going to love swimming. hahahaha But I have a feeling she will go from the pool to any dirt possible. Got to love her spirit. Cooper and Cali make a fine pair as he loves that water mud thing too when here. Makes you laugh and deep down its worth the cleanup to see them having so much fun. It truly is!
This Tuesday Fiona and Abigail go in to get Spayed. Nathan gets to see Yvonne's pups who were born yesterday 2 boys and 3 girls.
The Coops was here for an overnight visit and he was a riot - in rare form with the gals.
Poor Kat had the pups after him - got any milk?
They have teeth you know - ouch!
Adele was finding sticks and sharing with everyone. How nice...
Brie and Colby and Oreo and Magic dropped in. My back is better but its not there yet. The more I do the more I aggravate it so got to stop that.
Its not fair to have this type of an injury as I am missing my moments of on the floor with the pups. It frustrates me so. But I did manage to get outdoors and watch and click a few photos. I did get Nathan to brush hair out of eyes. I will play catchup with hair or will get him to put them on the table and see what I can accomplish. I will know more tomorrow morning when I do that with Cooper as he departs then.
Here are a few photos.
It's raining huddle. We have the cover on our gazebo. They like standing under that while it pours.
Then there are dogs like Fiona who like standing there and getting totally drenched.
Cali and Adele like to totally get soaked. They run and run and run in it.
Cooper is back chasing Adele and its rather funny as he cuts her off after attempting to catch her the traditional way. Not sure where she gets her speed as its the Wasabi pups that are so bloody fast but she is fast.
Adele ran like this for a solid 10 minutes. Everyone got tired of chasing her. Can't wait till Spice is doing the same and we have some great neck in neck competitions.
You don't want to see the crew now. They are all muddy. Cooper should have waited to be bathed. hahahaha
Roxie doesn't mind the rain but she also doesn't run her fool head off in the grass and mud like Cooper, Adele, Cali, Leti and Jeannie. Okay, if it wasn't for cleaning them they have the best spirits. They know how to have fun!
Our pool gets opened sometine from May 12th to the 19th. So I am hoping they enjoy the cover and then when it comes off its swimming weather. Yeah - right but one can dream.
Gidget sniffs the air and when it is raining says I don't think so but inbetween she is loving the outdoors. Gidget really really loves the pups. She had 1 litter so that makes sense. I caught her and Wasabi snuggling on the couch with me while I rested. It was impossible to get a camera and click it but I have the memory. They are still pals - nice!
Its still raining off and on. Cooper thought he would lay on my neck and face on the couch dirty feet and under carriage cause why not. Oh well I had some skin care as I had mud all along my neck and face. He looked at me as if to say what's your problem? People pay good money for this. :-0
This is a no grooming day or a Nathan grooming day. Going to try muscle relaxants and see if that will help. Had a great snuggle with the dogs but getting off the couch was some experience. Hoping tomorrow is a better day. No photos - sorry.
Lots of brushes inbetween playing. It's rain, rain, rain all week and Scruffy and Pepper are here for a play day. No one wants to play outside but when they do I have a ton of brushing to do. I want them to have fun but oh my gad am I brushing.
So, this is a no photo day. Soon pups will be gone and I will have more time for lots of older dawg photos.
Tomorrow will be easier as no pups going home - just grooming to be done. Here is a photo that was sent to us of the Stella gal!
Now doesn't she look mighty relaxed?
I did brush him - yeah right... honest I did!
Gidget went into the trees today with her best gal pal Wasabi and they looked like virtual trees from all the branches that stuck in them. It took me forever trying to get them out. Some get in there and don't want to let go. Wasabi - what are you teaching Gidget?
Yes, she had a smirk on her. Was she about to head to the trees too to drive Mommy crazy?
Jeannie was a good girl. I didn't have to pull twigs, and fur branches out of her.
This was Panda before her bath today. You can also see Fiona's body.
Gidget and the moms had a wonderful time after I cleaned them up with catching some serious sun baking. Its not hot - just right and the dogs just adore catching those warmish rays.
We had a truly fun day of running, playing, walks and lazing. Where did the day go?
Not getting much of the blog done. It happens with all that has to be done so the pups can go home plus the usual that I do. I got everyone but Shoshi brushed today. She will be brushed after Odin is washed. So, I guess I am falling down on the job. I am taking photos. I am doing all my usual - just no time to resize, place them in a gallery or convert and upload a video.
Panda tonight will have 2 of hers in their forever home and on Monday Roxie will have 1 of hers but he will be coming back to hang out during the day. Panda is the first to have them depart and she will be the last on the 7th.
The sisters are loving each other every day. They are back to playing their hearts out.I will try to get photos of the rest up tomorrow.
On the 7th we have to transform our livingroom back to a livingroom as we have guests arriving. wow - so much to do in so little time.
Truffie will be a dad again in approx 10 days with Yvonne's gal Flora. We do not stud our males out except with close friends. So, other than with our own litters and Yvonnes you won't see a Truffie pup. The word out is 6 pups will be arriving. Flora was sired by Wasabi's brother and Yvonne's Lola.
If you were wondering why the blogs were so short it was a very busy day. Danielle is also sitting in emergency as I type. Thanks to Lynda for all the help as they do not have a car. Theirs died and she is paying out so much $$ for care for things insurance does not cover that a car was not in the realm of possibilities. Did you know insurance and OHIP does not pay for experimental meds and that is all you are left with when you exhausted the ones that they do pay for. If she is remaining I will be heading down in the morning to relieve our daughter.
So blogs may again be short. I also have Daisy and Bentley to wash before I depart tomorrow - if I need to. Looks like I also have a puppy and Logan to wash too.
No time so I will put some older photos up and you tell me who they are.
Wasabi and Raylan
Wasabi and Kat
Miss Abigail in motion
Zack who ate a stocking in his earlier life and that is why he had the cone on.
Shady with Nathan
Brie smiling with Colby
Wasabi and Ryui - anyone remember Ryui? It wasn't Wasabi's pup but Risas.
Every now and then I take off a day from grooming. Today was it. But I truly don't get a full day off. Dogs depart - brushing. But as someone who really goes and goes 7 days a week every now and then you must. So, today was it. Not a full day off but a semi one I suppose. Every once in awhile I also relish no visitors and just having relax time. Everyone needs a day off even if it is a semi one.
So, the blogs are going to be lean. Sorry about that.
As you can see Roxie and Jeannie are back full on playing these days. It is rather nice. Even Roxie is starting to make the transition from all consuming mom hood to hey I can play and they don't need me 24/7. It's rather nice seeing her playing. She is truly a play monkey.
Miss Adele sitting on the stairs
Pepper Mauling!
Logan and Scruffster said let us in!
Abs and Daisy investigates and tries to chew the crocus. Gee thanks!
Kickin' Leaves
Treat for me too? We were doing training with a crowd.
Through the water face and all right after a comb out of course!
Panda's making sure her pups are safe to play with the Gidget.
And they were. Gidgets not one of ours but we have known her all her life and we love her mom. She is the most maternal thing going and Panda figured that out.
There is more but it was a busy day. Dennis had a migraine. Nathan had to go to the hospital so it was me grooming, dogs and puppy play till late afternoon. So blogs will be sparse. Sorry about that.
It was a balmy hot day today well for spring that is. I still don't have the backyard done but each time a little more. I did a lot of grooming instead and puppy play and blogs. Hope the rest of you had a fun filled day of great weather. Here are photos of Levon and Trigger Shannon sent us. It was taken at their old house. They seem to be having a grand time mucking it up!
Today Daisy ran through the water on the pool cover. Wish I had clicked that when she realized that it was up above her knees. A puppy did the same but he is a light weight so no sinking. Adults beware! Our pool is high and we have more rain coming tonight. That means mud and grooming - of course.
