Not Warm Today

It was a very busy day. Tempie had a bath and a whole slew of dogs. I had planned on taking the pups swimming but it was not warm enough and here I am late doing blogs. I am so cold I need to store socks downstairs. LOL

Ronnie bought me pistachios shelled from Costco. I am so bloody excited - seriously! Thank you!

I can't believe Tempie pups have a visit tomorrow. 

Dennis did play upstairs today. Not sure why but as I was gropoming it sounded like the running of the bulls. It sounded like a riot and they seemed mighty happy when they came downstairs. Only dog that didn't participate was Tempie as I was grooming her.

It is always a fun day when it includes a mad run!

Lounging in Coolness

Dennis was playing with filters. I think I prefer without. Panda and Logan was here to play and groom.

Harlow walked in the pool today. If you want to take her in, she usually declines. AIf it is on her terms - well - that's different. Maybe when it is warmer tomorrow she will try again and AI will have the camera out with me. I didn't swim as it was simply too cool.

Parker arrived and is playing like a crazy person. 

Winston decided he finally likes the pups. 

We are starting to book up for the December holiday - if you can believe. I do not even have the pool closed. It's going to get warmer so it will remain open.

We are in need of a plumber. So, if you have someone you trust, please send Nathan their names, please. 

Now off to upload videos, ice the leg and have a stiff drink. LOL

In Out and About

I hate the thought of the pool getting closed but it appears that this is one of the most fave times of year for the dogs. It's not cold. It's not hot and when it is not raining, play is created in and outdoors. 

They just thoroughly enjoy. 

Just found out today that the son-in-law has covid and he is going stir crazy being in isolation. We haven't seen them for weeks so no concern for us getting it. We still do outside visits. He works in an office and they socialize with friends often. I think this is the 3rd time they have had covid where I have not had it at all

WHO says end of COVID-19 ‘is in sight’ I hope they are accurate. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a normal winter with powdery snow that the dogs could enjoy? I hibernate all winter so not much changes for me. LOL The dogs just came back in from their run with Dennis. He wrapped his arm as he was afraid he would hurt it more but so missed the run with the dogs. I think this solution worked.Saturday we have a Tempie puppy 8 week visit. How did that happen? They will go home before the 3 crew. By the end of the month they are digging up our front lawn as Bell is putting in Fibre Optics. Dennis is thrilled. He thinks the cost will be similar to Tekksavvy but much faster. We shall see. As our house has the cable and Bell box for our entire street attached to our house. We get the digging. I told you the gardening could wait till next year. Yes, I am laughing. 

On the Hunt

Dear Katie saw something running in the underbrush and off she went to see what it was. It is funny who decides to chase and who does not. 

As it was a cooler day, the dogs seem to want to be out more. Who can blame them? Me, I like it warmer. 

Pups play and stare at the adults. Sometimes they kiss them through teh pen. It is interesting to see who is interested and who is not.

All Day Rain Till Tonight

Here is a small gallery.

It rained most of the day so the gallery is a bit light. When it stopped they chilled outdoors as if to say - ahhhh let's just hang.

Supposedly rain again tomorrow. I get the feeling the pool needs to close but I do not want it to. Oh well....

Sage is in heat so now we get to separate the dogs at night and I get the gals and Nathan gets the boys in the guestroom. Let the fun begin. 

Outside Inside and Visit From Our Youngest Son Jon

The dogs had fun inside and out. We had our youngest son Jon come to visit and he had a blast with the pups and well Stormy and Kinsey was over the moon to see him. The others were too but those 2 were crazy to see him. It was not a long visit but I am going to climb into a recliner and take a nap. How unlike me but I need it. Of course a nap wouldn't be a nap without dogs on my lap. 

Everyone loved the back yard.

Swim Time?

Not sure if Murphy has a pool but he decided to go for a swim tonight. He is a strong swimmer and swam to the stairs to get out. Nathan put a towel down on the chair and he rolled in the towel to dry himself. He was a riot! I think Ella was miffed as she wasn't invited to swim but seeing I end up having to dry her and I have other things to do - maybe tomorrow. Not today!

We had 2 puppy visits today so Dennis won't play his games with them till tonight. I also have to finish blogs and try to demat a dog. He's a tough one as he doesn't want to be dematted. Who does?

Dogs really love the lounge chairs. Often Nathan can't find room for himself. It's so funny!

Lazy Day

We have a busy tomorrow. Today I washed 2 dogs and 12 puppies. Tomorrow 2 visits.

Dorothy was here and she did an amazing job. I came in after she was here and fell promptly to sleep in the recliner. My knee was bad today. I think I need to create a device that covers my knee at bedtime so the dogs don't lay on it. Ideas? For now I have been wrapping it with a comforter. 

The dogs are looking forward to tv time. Can you blame them?

I had to share this photo that I received today. This is Meadow who is getting a new sibling from this crew we have here. She is intently watching and perhaps figuring out who she wants as a sibling. LOL

Me - I am mighty grumpy as my leg is unhappy till I take something for it. 

Dorothy did an amazing job with our garden. Oh my gad - I mean amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You can see the results in the gallery.

Mid Week Lazing

Dorothy weeded for us and now comes the fun of trying to figure out how to slip her some money. I must do something for you. Bring suit - swim tomorrow? Send me photos so I can make things for you!

I did something stupid I wanted to get bacon bits and pistachios and well our Costco didn't have. I walked around Costco and my knee is slapping me silly as I am in serious pain and taking pain pills now. I guess it was too early and well too much. Now to look online to see if they deliver these items. 

We are quieter today. Rosey came for the day - Daisy too. Winston and Ellie is here. Otto and Ringo comes this evening. Harlow departs this evening. 

It has been a busy summer but it is getting quieter. 

We have a 6 week puppy visit this Saturday but after that and Sunday swim perhaps?

Low Key Day

It's been a warmish day but not hot. Nathan is taking his naps with the dogs that wanted to go. They all know the drill. Ellie decided Dennis is his human so she hangs out with him. She plays with the other dogs but knows where Dennis is always.

Archie departs tonight. He has had a fantastic time. It has become quiet. 

I have been using the pool pump for washing. It works. I am glad. I am going to take off the end to see if I can get more pressure or does that work the other way? We will find out. LOL 

The dawgs - as usual are having a great time. 

Tomorrow our electricity will be out for maintenence the electric company tells us. Oh what fun.

We have 3 dogs coming tomorrow longterm. We are excited!

Labour Day Concludes

House is emptying out. Labour Day is coming to a conclusion. Some coming tomorrow. Wish teh weather was nicer for those that are away. Think it starts to warm up tomorrow. 

Dinner was interesting. No tag team barking for dinner - Benny and Harlow. Harlow departs Wednesday and Benny departed today. 

The foursome depart tomorrow and so does Archie. You would think that the dogs departing leaves lots of room on the bed. All it means is the remaining dogs spread out. LOL This is so true. Same with the tv room. 

We had a mouse on the deck. That usually means when it gets cold they will attempt to come in. :-( The dogs chased the heck out of it. No one caught but boy did they get excited. I hate mice and rats. Oh my 

Cool Day Out

It was a cool day and the weekend is coming to a close tomorrow. Dogs will be departing - well some today - some tomorrow and then it will get quieter.

I am grooming like crazy so short blogs across the board as it is already 7pm and I need to demat a dog plus my ricirculating bathing beauty died and Dennis is going to try to resolder the wires. We shall see. Not sure how he will do it with one hand but its taking me twice as long to groom and a new one is over a grand. We will figure it out.

Dogs had a ton of fun. I think they enjoyed the coolness. Me - I want the heat back. I can't even wrap my head around cold again. Oh well....

Chilling at the Pool

I was getting upset with Dennis as he simply is not taking enough photos and he looked at me and said you do realize I have to click with my right hand that is injured. How stupid can I get. 

Today Willow and Ella went into the pool and they so loved it. Everyone was watching and relaxing. It was a huge treat for them. Chester, Kally, Daisy and Nava went home today. We have more departing tomorrow. Long weekend, I guess as some depart Monday. Gorgeous weather. 

Dogs had a new game - pick what hand or pocket the treat is in. Dennis - so funny but he loves to work their minds.

The dogs had fun today. The garden is a disaster but I live by the motto - do what you can and the garden will wait till next year. It's okay.

We have not booked our pool closing. I hope we have warm weather through the month. The closing of the pool means summer is over. I hate summer being over.

Dennis did a hunt and seek game today and there were a lot of winners but not to worry. We make sure everyone gets a treat. 

I cooked up bacon and we broke up pieces to add to their food tonight. They went yum. Not a single dog turned up their nose at that addition.

It was interesting who was playing with whom.

Cozy Day and TV Time

They are already gathering for tv time. In the tv room (used to be a formal diningroom) is a 3sectional reclining unit. On each side is a crate with doors open or removed. On top of each oversized crate is a bed on top so someone can sit in the crate and on top. To the side is 2 recliners with stairs up to them. There are stairs up to the main couch too. It also has an ottomon etc. It is mighty comfie for all and the dogs love it. Despite all those comfie spots, Nathan finds himself under dogs as he watches tv. It's a riot!

It was a lazy day. Dogs enjoyed the sunshine. Nathan swam. I was not up to it. Life but the dogs had a blast!

As We Age

This is Benny from Risa's 1st litter. He is over 16. He actually seems to be doing a bit better. I wanted to bath him but I will wait till he goes home. I do not want to stress him out. Nathan babies him like he is an old man and I guess he is. Dennis does too. I snuggle him too but he sees me as the grooming person and so when I took him to the table to groom today, his tail went down and he showed me he was mighty unhappy so I said - Benny that's okay. We will try tomorrow. I may just put him in my lap and do him.

We also have Oreo the senior guy too. He is doing well and claims his spots that he has claimed over the years. He's always treated like the prince he is.

Today Stone was kissing puppies through the xpen. Truffies was kissing them as I walked by with one. 

We had a lot of play with everyone today. 

Barking for the Supper

Much rain today so everytime it stopped we went outside. When it rained, back in. Needless to say we spent more time in that out. I hope tomorrow is better weather.

Now we have Pingo and Benny barking for their food as I type. They do have distinct voices. Dennis - Nathan - why are you so slow. We smell the fresh cooked topping. Are you trying to tease me?

I am short blogging today. I had an exceedingly painful night last night and the knee has not calmed down. It was so painful you could hear me screaming when I turned or a dog laid on my leg. It was not a fun night. Today, Dennis had laundry on the floor - about 6 inches and I realized I couldn't climb over. His hand is not better. I am tired of this. I can no longer sit on the floor with the pups. Oh well - enough complaining. I am so done with it.

Not Super Human

I am going to reduce the galleries. Dennis is falling down on the job in clicking the adults and I am doing blogs late at night and never having down time so I can't sacrifice what we do with the dogs and pups so the blogs are the reduction I must undertake. 

I will be doing 1 gallery for here and 1 gallery for the pups. I hope you can tell which pups are whose. I will put up special galleries if something unique comes up. 

Benny is back with us as his human's mom's dad died and they are sitting shiva. 

Ruth is back in hospital - not sure how long for and Katie is with us. 

I am grooming a lot and my knee was in through the roof agony today. I am taking pain pills so it is now at the dull stage. 

Spicy and Cooper depart tomorrow. They will get their final teeth cleaning and comb out by me 1st thing in the morning. They will be missed. I keep meaning to put them on a rug as a present and I just am not finding the time. I am frustrated about that.

Summer is winding down. Next week will be quieter but still doing the gallery solution. Sorry.
