Snowy Day

Here is the gallery.

The white stuff is gone. The rain and mud is here. The dogs don't want to go out and well I am cleaning a great deal. Dennis is cleaning the floors. I should have some device that sits on the floor. As they come in, it dries and blows the dirt out. How is that for dreaming? Each season brings its own set of cleaning fun. Even in the summer we have to comb out dogs after the pool. It's okay. It is life!

No photos of the muddy times. I am too busy freshening them up. 

Miss Harlow departs tonight. Pepper, Leo and Astro already departed. Now their parents have the job of keeping them clean. sigh

The dogs still have their runs just from bedroom to bedroom - up and down the halls. Then they rest. Dennis too. hahaha

Monday

If you think your dog doesn't have expressions, you haven't looked at them enough is all I am going to say! Are you done?

My feet are cold. I am tired from all the grooming and I am sad I missed Dorothy. Maybe next time I see her, it will be warm so we will be outside in the back and maybe the pool will be open. Thank you, Dorothy and really sad I missed you! It is cold!

Coach and Sassy are here. They are from Wasabi's 1st litter. They are siblings.  Yes, we placed siblings but not at the same time. 

Dennis had a nice birthday yesterday where chores was not part of his day. I am glad.

We have comings ands goings. Tv watch and the run game with Dennis. Spicy beat evceryone yesterday as she took a shortcut. Smart gal. One has to laugh.

Mr. Harper has found cuddles with another dog and if his face is any indicator, he says it is the best. Miss Harlow departs tomorrows night. She is going to miss rubbing herself on the pool cover. We will have to get her swimming this summer.

Leo also departs tomorrow morn. He had a ton of fun!

It has been a cold day but a fun one. I have slippers on to keep my feet warm. I am off to the recliner while Dennis fixes dinner for the dogs and I get warm.

Having a frustrating issue with uploading galleries and I tried every which way. I had to put in a ticket and hope to have today's gallery up but as this is a holiday weekend - who knows.  I may have to play catchup after it is fixed.

This is Misty's Ollie after a groom and bath. Juno has hers too but no photos as no gallery. argh

We had snow on the ground. It is Dennis' bday and it is his day off entirely so I did the photos. 

It is cold out. Diamond, Juno and Ollie have departed. Ty, Coach and Sassy has arrived. 

Wednesday the pool gets opened. It means tomorrow we must organize and empty out the pool house. 

Cooper had another thinning out. 

As it is Dennis day off, I need to do everything that he usually does and that's a great deal. LOL So, I best get moving.

Rain and Miserable and No Groom

It's been rain off and on and I decided tomorrow I will play catchup. It's the holiday weekend. Happy Passover and Happy Easter to those that celebrate.

It is a no groom day so the dogs have a day off - me too. Tomorrow back at it. I only had Coco to groom who is departing at 830pm tonight.  I was going to take it as a day off. Dennis has Sunday off as it is his birthday.

The dogs had fun. I am tired so short blog. Sorry...

Wednesday the pool gets open. So it begins.

Cool

Lachlan is only here for the day and he is making the most of it. Lachlan will get his groom and bath just before he departs - about 2 hours or he would end up being a muddy mess.

A few more arrived and are now taking a nap with Nathan.

It's colder and windy. We 'think' Dennis has the pool chlorinator installed correctly. When they open, we will find out. Then we have to figure out a bunch of settings. Thank you to youtube as sometimes it helps.

We are taking the statue out of the pool shack. When I opened the door, I heard scurrying and a chipmunk was almost face to face with me. Then the dogs came charging and off it went. 

I groom Spicy and Cooper each morning and well they do not want the cheerio treats. So, I offer. They refuse and that's it. Not sure why they decided not for me.

Mr. Ty has had fun and he is departing today. It went by in a blip.

Hey It is Warm!

Rusty is so excited at how warm it is. It is still 20c and it made it to 22c today. WOW!

We are now semi ready for the pool to be open. Dennis has to literally remove the old salt chlorinator and hook up the new. Going to be interesting but has to be done before they open. The pool guys want to send out a master electrician and want to charge $450 to do it so let's hope he finds the directions easy. 

The dogs did a lot of lazing outside today with Dennis as he cleaned. Now he is playing games on the VR. I wonder if the dogs found it hot. I had a lot of grooming as it is Passover and Easter week. If I sat in the recliner, I may fall asleep. I so do not have energy.

Dennis just started his run with the dogs. I want to watch. It looks like every dog is joining in. Bravo!

Spring Play

Here is the gallery.

It was a really really warm day out - up to 64f. We opened the windows everywhere to get fresh air in and then proceeded to look for our pool cell. We knew we needed a new salt water system. But we were going to try to kickstart it to hopefully avoid that but we can't find the cell and you can't open without. Joy - not. The thing about the pool is eventually you replace everything then start again. Each year it is something. Last year it was the pool cleaner. Though the salt water system was barely passable at the end of the season, you always remain hopeful. It was not doing its job by the end of the season. So, a new one is a reality. I think other than changing cells, this one has lasted about 20 years so time. They have gone up since last year when I checked prices - double. If you have a pool and need to replace something, get it soon as I am told there is a shortage. So tired of hearing that.

Tried to take a video of Ty playing with Nathan. It is as if he knew I had a camera and he would not cooperate. One has to laugh. 

Ms Tenshi arrived and is full of it. I find the dogs that come frequently have their beds, recliners that they feel are theirs. Even Nathan's head is coveted when he sits in the tv room. At the moment, Ty is on his head. Usually Tenshi has that spot but instead she is saddled up to Dennis while he plays a game. It's like siblings. 

The dogs had a lot of fun. 

Warm But Cloudy

Here is Ella, Cooper and Ollie. Cooper has decided Kinsey is no fun flattening though he tried 1st thing as she just lays there. It's like conquering a dust mop if you get what I mean.

Here is the mini gallery. Dennis is getting lazy in clicking. I have to say he has spent a lot of time, sweeping, cleaning and pumping water off the top of the cover so maybe not lazy. He is doing spring cleaning - he says for the dogs. This way there is no debris when he does his run games. 

Everyone got groomed. Cooper had a bag of his hair that the birds would probably love. LOL He is starting the journey of a little each day of thinning out as he has a massive amount of hair. Spicy just likes to take over this blanket - that blanket and oh there is that pesky squirrel walking by.

Frannie finds Ella and Harlow the best to snuggle with. That is when she doesn't have Nathan's neck. Harlow is a regular so she likes her comfort in certain spots and demands it. Yes, I am laughing.

Archie and Ellie played like they were long lost pals. Archie departs tomorrow. His play will be missed. Gucci tried to intervene and she succeeded playing with the both, I am told. It was good that Gucci had a play date. She really enjoyed!

Rocco departed early. He had so much fun. It was like he was a kid in a candystore. 

Tomorrow Coco the maltese arrives. 

Sometime this week they open the pool. We haven't got a call but they said this week.

Can it be spring?

Warmish Daze and Pups

This is Luna - the 1st puppy that has been back for Tempie and she was overly excited to see her. I took these two photo on my ipad as she was on my lap, at the time. 

Here is the gallery - such as it is. Dennis clicks. Sometimes he gets a lot - sometimes he is distracted. LOL Today he was cleaning for what seemed like hours while the dogs played. No camera when he is playing. Oh well.

We are thankful that Luna was able to spend the day with us and with Tempie. What a happy Sunday!

Mr. Cooper has been highly interested in Kinsey - at least today. He follows her around and even attempts to lay partly on her like a snuggle. She could get lost in that hair. LOL

Ms Spicy loves the familyroom couch where she can look out the window and she LOVES the soft blanket. Oh, she goes out too but she loves to watch the squirrels and chipmunks and I suppose the birds. 

Everyone got brushed today except Truffie and Jeannie and I will do them after dinner. 

Dennis didn't get to do the run game yet. 

Rocky, the 4 pups and Mabel depart today. Rocco tomorrow. Ms Maltese Coco arrived for a few hours - Atchie also arrived and they are loving it! The dogs - well they are having fun!

Inbetween Hail

The dogs woke up to little rain but hail off and on today. The dogs have been groomed. They had their run time outdoors today. Nathan and some of the dogs are watching tv or chilling. Some are sitting with Dennis and some are with me. I need to find socks as it feels cold. Blankets are our friend. 

Spicy settled for one cheerio and Cooper was I need two - really Cooper? LOL

The 4 pups are departing tomorrow and so is Mabel and Rocky. Going to get quiet or will it?

Too Wet of a Day

Only a few photos.

Been a long day but exciting to have Cooper and Spicy here after 3 years. I am so delighted - it is unreal. Too long. They are enjoying themselves. Thank you for everything - for Dennis - the blanket. I am hoping that good weather is coming. How can you get photos when it is mucky out and it sure is!

If a dog gets too dirty, I am just washing them. I washed a few today that wasn't meant to as they simply decided mudd times was the best!

Dennis is going to do the run game upstairs in the hall and bedroom as it is simply - well let's get real. I do not want to wash all those feet. It just makes sense. Besides they don't care where it is done. They just care that they get to play and expel energy. The way he plays it, they all nap after.

I am uploading a couple of videos. One was Kinsey meeting Spicy. The other is Raven, Daisy and Rocky with Ty looking on!

Now the crew is eating so I need to go help with that!

Trying to Stay Dry

Another wet day in paradise. Can you believe? They say rain tomorrow.

We are excited as we have Cooper and Spicy coming. It's been a very very long time. We are hoping for sunny days and sunny times. 

This morning we had Mabel from Sage and tonight we have Rocky from Willow arriving. Fun times!! 

To Brush or Not

This was Truffie after a brush out. I am so laughing. He's my kind of guy. He loves life to the fullest and loves me the best. Yes, I said it. He does love me the best!

We had a few dogs that arrived today that was up to par with his look but they got spruced up. 

Tenshi, Jersey and Teddy departed. Coco and Alfie will depart shortly. Fun was had by all.  

Smells must be surfacing as they are smelling branches and the ground. It must be spring or so they say. 

They had a fierce run with Dennis today and he then took photos. I want to put a gopro on his head so you can see this craziness. It's the dogs exciting fun. Nothing better than expelling your energy.

Messy and Not

I often groom in stages - one here - one there and never in any order. The ones that have their hair in the face gets to go first - in purpose as I do not want them looking at hair. Then again Saffron was one of the 1st and look at her above. Some just love to muck about especially when you get them looking what you think is pretty. Some havanese you say do not step over that line and half the paw is there. It's their endearable spirit.

Chasing chipmunks for some seem to be the game of the day. 

I have the windows open but it seems to get cold quickly. Fresh air is nice though. The dogs are appreciating it. 

Muddy

Not many photos as you will see so many muddy feet so cleanup was non stop or so it felt that way.

Nathan had to fill up the gas tank ad he had dog food to buy at Globals and almost had a heart attack with the prices. 

Dennis made Butter Chicken by hand and oh boy I can tell my tummy is not used to it. It was good, mind you. Just a food I am not used to and spicy the way he made it.

The dogs are all a well meshed crew. Everyone so enjoys each other.

You Can't Fool Me

Shlomo looks absolutely cute as ever. If you cut his hair too short it sticks out as he has a thick coat. If you cut it inbetween - well what do you think?

He's the one saying you can't fool me. We had snow this morning then rain then well it is wet and who is the smart one laying under the gazebo. 

The dogs had a blast! We have Juno, Chester, Rocco, Opus, Rocky, Juno and Bonham. Bonham and Rocco have the same canine mom and dad and they played and played today as if they knew each other. It was a riot. Poor Kinsey couldn't get Bonham's attention as he had other playmates. LOL I think Kinsey was miffed. But Maisey and Kinsey had their play sessions as you can see in this video. Maisey is surely loosening up. Mr. Rocky departed.

Miss Harlow decided to turn her undersides black as she loves to rill but it was somewhat muddy so she had an underside bath. Think she is due for a full bath.

Chester is so in love with Hallie. It's a riot!

Warm Day

Tiger had a moment or 2 or 3 or 4 with his mom Sage and he knew her. We haven't seen him since he departed. Be still my heart at how excited he was. Then he went crazy for the humans but canine mom - well he was so excited! He also lives with 3 other havanese and they are also visiting. They are settling in nicely. It's a fun house.

Magic was here for a spruce up for the holidays. Miss Lucky is departing shortly. It was a warm day but too wet to sit outside. 

I want to thank Pablos mom for gin and tonic - strawberry. Never had strawberry gin. I am usually a purist but as soon as Nathan gets some fresh strawberries and raspberries, I am going to mix them in, put ice in it, the gin and the fever tree she brought. Sounds like a summer day indulgence. 

As I am typing, we have barking for supper going on. hmmmm Dennis usually feeds at 430 and it is now 530 so they are telling him. IMAGINE THAT! Dogs that can tell time.

The dogs enjoyed. Dennis is going to take them out for a run after supper. He usually does that before supper. Then I imagine they will do tv time as they will all be tuckered out. That run of excitement like he does it surely tuckers them out. It will be interesting to see who will snuggle with whom during tv time.
