Snow or Cold

It's almost Christmas. It's almost Hannukah. The holidays will begin!

Our son sent us $$ to buy a prime rib roast. I will cook. We will indulge and so will the dogs. It will be a feast for the holidays for all visitors alike. I may cook tomorrow - we shall see.

The pool snow is mushy and wet. As it gets warmer that patch will grow. The dogs have been having fun on the chairs that need to be thrown out. Although frayed, it is good enough for them to sit on them till next year when we have to replace. The dogs seem to put holes in them. It is interesting the wear and tear we go through with visiting dogs. They do have fun so a small price we pay.

We are starting to get a full house. Dogs are having fun!

Thank you to Pepper's family for a wonderful tip and to Ollie's parents plus Coco the maltese brought a wonderful gift basket. It is wonderful. Thank you!!! It feels so good that you thought of us - truly!!

Almost Holidays

We may have found the snow shovel but that rake is still out back. LOL So much for that garage cleanup too. Can't take us anywhere, LOL

We took our son and daughter-in-law to be out to lunch at a Deli place that they wanted to go to. I had eggs and toast and it was lousy but we had good conversation and a great time out. I then came back to groom Ollie and Pepper. 

I started my exercise this morning and now Dennis is exercising. I am also doing some back exercises that is actually helping. I haven't done them yet but will after the blog. 

The dogs had fun today and we humans seemed to mind the cold more than they did. 

Our son sent us money to buy a prime rib roast. I will need to make it but the dogs will have leftovers. They are going to go YUM! Me too! I cook a great roast. I guess I will not cook that for a few days. We shall see. It depends on when I find the time. We shall see.

It is going to be a fun. Time to chill out and watch tv with the dogs.

Saturday Saturday

In another 10 days we will be in yet another new year. Do you do the resolutions thing?

The dogs go in and out and we are still seeing squirrels and things that the dogs can chase. Now that Harlow is not here, Teddy is taking up the  challenge.

Dogs are coming. Dogs are going. I have an insane schedule for grooming to get them ready for the holidays. That's okay. I am cutting Pepper down tonight so I can finish her tomorrow before she goes home. Mostly everyone is coming not going.

Mr. Brodie has departed and so has Jax. 

I hope this is the start if a grand holiday season for all. It is our busiest time of the year straight through to the New Year.

We take our next son and girlfriend out for lunch tomorrow for deli food - Nathan and the son's request. Last week we did this with our other son.

The dogs are hanging out with Nathan watching tv. Dennis is exercising. I am blogging and will soon be doing Pepper. It's been a long day but a fun one.

Thank you to Sherry for such a magnificent holiday present. It's a wifi photo frame. Going to be fun selecting photos for it! Think this is my only gift other than an Amazon card from Harlow's dad. So appreciative that you think of me truly. Nathan is terrible at stuff like this. I did get him presents. I am also thankful for cookies from Ty's mom. You should order cookies from her. They are absolutely amazing!

Snow Day

Finally got a dusting. Will be interesting to see what we end up with. The dogs do love the snow. 

Mr. Dash departed and will be heading to Florida. He's already sporting his summer hairdo. We will see him in April.

Mr. Marco departs tomorrow and so does Oreo. Holiday boarders are still arriving. Mr. Ollie and Petey arrived today. Jersey is playing up a storm. Everyone is. 

They do like the snow but not deep enough to shovel.

Thank you to Harlow's dad for such a nice holiday gift. So appreciate!! Ms Harlow is home today to play and enjoy her dad. Now that is the best!

The dogs are ramping up to a huge holiday fiesta. It is about to begin in a couple of days. We are excited!

It is our most fun but busiest time of the year for us, for you. I so hope you have a magical holiday even if it means sitting, watching tv and relaxing. I get tons of dog hugs. Now that is the best. At night though I get heavy legs as they all vy for a spot on my legs. They each compete with who gets the favoured spot. 

Do you know it gets dark at 444pm and we wake up at 7am to dark too. How is this saving us more daylight? 

Mighty Wet

Bailey thinks this wet stuff is a pain and well Fudge thinks getting muddy is the very best. Though I just washed Bailey and she is also muddy again. I can't win. 

That's okay. We waited and waited for the snow but it never came.

I had a day off. I am back exercising but only upper body and with a back brace. So far so good. If I start to hurt, I will stop but am acutely aware of my back. This pain was unreal and I do not want to get it again. I was barely sleeping and functioning. You appreciate when it goes in a huge way. I still can't bend over to put out dishes but that will come. 

I did go to our daughter's new place. Although tiny, it is cute and has so many automatic features but she had me come to try the sauna and it was broken. Oh well, I was able to make funny things for them as holiday gifts. 

In less than a week we will have a full house and lots of fun. Dennis is creating some new fun games to keep the dogs minds working. Will we have white stuff? Time will tell. 

We ate out at a fish place that no one was under 70, I swear. Scallops was good. Fries were terrible. Oh well. This is what happens when you try something new. You never know. They now live in Leaside. It is a great neighbourhood as it allows them to have access to 24 hour buses and big box stores all around. 

Short Blogging

It is a quiet day and I am about to be picked up to see the daughter's new place - do a suana and eat some scallops and chips. I am hoping it is good.

I did some great funny holiday presents for the daughter, hubby and kids. Let's hope they have a sense of humour. One never knows after all these years.

Dogs have been playing. It is my day off. It looks pretty gloomy outdoors. My backache is now a mild aching. I am ever so glad. I did do upper body exercise. Let's hope it wasn't a mistake.

I have not picked up a dog yet but have Dennis and Nathan for that. 

Soon we will be extra busy. It's going to be fun for humans and the dogs but a lot of work. That's okay!

All Due in Time

Bailey got her bath in and in the next 2 days, I will cut her down. For dogs that do not have to go home, we are doing a little at a time to get this back to 100%. 

It is threatening rain. 

Dogs had fun indoors. It is my day off tomorrow so looking like that cut on Bailey will be Wednesday. She's nice and clean and knot free. 

Marco is in lust with Hallie. I am not sure why but oh my gad is he all over her as if she is the best galfriend possible.It is funny how relationships develop.

Sunday Sunday

It's been a long gloomy day. 

The dogs are playing like crazy and having an immense amount of fun. Nathan is off to buy steak and ground beef for the dogs. It is a birthday not that Nathan needs an excuse for that!

The dogs eat well! 

I have been busy doing some custom things for people for the holiday or after the holiday like towels, apple watch band, pillows, tumblers. I am lucky that all my orders are pickups vs mailing out. 

Thank you for the chocolates today. I think Dennis is eating them faster than me. LOL

PS: We finally found the snow shovel. Yes, I am laughing!

Happy 6th

Good morning. Hope all is well and our little boys are having fun. Please could you give Charlie birthday hugs and kisses. He is 6 today. Thank you both for bringing him into our lives. He is a special boy and loved so much by all the family and especially his brother Teddy. Happy birthday my darling boy 😘😘🥰🤗🤗

Relax Day

Bailey is here for a bit and needs a haircut now and when she goes hime. The now will happen tomorrow or Sunday. 

It is my day off and I am still babying my back but better each day. I may introduce stretches into my life tomorrow. We shall see.

The dogs coming for the holiday season has begun. We are going to have a fun filled house.

My Mantra Not Today

Gallery coming tomorrow - not today.

We have a dental clinic going on so lots of dogs and it is mighty windy. They say snow is coming but who really knows. I am out of tylenol 3s and feeling the back but taking something else but it makes me drowsy. It is good for bed not for the daytime. I do not want to go back to the doctors as its not so comfie sitting there so we try to deal.

I have some orders to do for some people but the $%#@ packages keep getting delayed. I have  a dog friend that lives in Labrador and can't get her insulin. She is out this week. I think hers is a heck of a lot more serious. Me, it's sweatshirts, tumblers and pillows. I did a few ornaments but surprised no one else thought of them. I do have the ornaments for that. What a holiday season this is for many. NOT!

Nathan's mind is like a sieve but I think Lulu's mom gave us Purdys that Dennis hoarded, LOL Thank you truly!! I love dark chocolate. Nathan and Dennis like milk but I think only 2 whites are left in one day folks and Dennis never gains.

Dogs are playing in and out today but brrrr I am eating Luigi's Lemon Italian ice - yum. It is refreshing!

Wet Outdoors

It is indeed wet outdoors again.The dogs are mostly playing indoors. Can you blame them?

Tomorrow is the dental clinic. Seems we had a couple of last minute cancellations. If interested, let nathan@potechin.com know.

Dogs had nap day today with Nathan. Lucky them. 

Nothing to eat in the house but Nathan has to feed the dogs and can't go out to get anything (changed schedules etc) make it difficult to know when. I can't run to the door. I am a slow and steady gal, at the moment.

Not There Yet

Here is a gallery from the last few days. Best I can do.

Went to comb out Panda and Logan and couldn't not wash them. After a few days they were not in send home condition. I may regret this but it is what it is. I thought I was better. I am not sure. We will see when the pain pills kick in and I am wearing a back brace. I may wear one after I feel better too to avoid this type of an injury.

Dogs had fun. Nathan is off today. We have the dental clinic Thursday. I can't type anymore as this chaie despite leaning still hurts. 

The dogs did have fun despite the bloody rain.

Not Today

Here are a few oldies that I will share. I can't blog or build a gallery. I just can't yet though I am slightly better. 

I promise I will play catchup and do a multi-day gallery. 

Dogs are doing well. It has been raining and they don't like that and Nathan had his iritis checked and is at the lab doing testing.

Sorry

I can't sit at my desk without excruciatung pain in my back so creating a gallery is not something I can do. I hope tomorrow I can pull it off. Not sure but trying.

Dogs are having a great time. Nathan has iritis.

Day Off Sort Of

No gallery day.

I will play catchup tomorrow. We have a dinner out with the son and his girlfriend today so we are bypassing some of the work that I do. I have to figure out what to wear and relax with the dogs after exercise. I hope you understand.

The dogs are not staying out long but neither is Dennis so that is telling so we will do more indoor running and playing. It works and it keeps the dogs from getting too cold. 

I want to say thank you very much to Ellie's parents for the very generous monetary holiday gift. Thank you, truly!

OH My

Here is the gallery.

It felt downright cold out there - breezy cold. Dogs didn't like it. I didn't like it and even Dennis who feels nothing said it is too cold to stay outside so it must be cold. Haha

I exercised today. If anyone wants to see what I am doing, I am doing Supernatural VR Game on Meta Quest. In all my years of exercising this is the 1st time that I am actually having fun. It usually takes me a great deal to get motivated as my home is not the normal house. Throughout the years I felt sabotaged when it comes to exercise and that is the case still but I like it so much I ignore it. I am busy and finding time to exercise and take a hot shower is taking a chunk out of my time but I am looking forward to it everyday. Dennis is also doing it daily. 

The thing I miss is walking with Stormy but we play games and she is moving it too. 

We played a great deal indoors. They did go outdoors several times but not for extended periods and they tell you when they want in. They enjoyed the game play indoors. It is important to stimulant their minds and bodies. Life is better if you are enjoying something! That is true of the dogs too!

White Out There

It is my day off. I am a bit sluggish and interesting my lower back hurts even though I did nothing to strain it. Perhaps I am holding myself too stiff. The VR keeps telling me to loosen my body and relax. I am concentrating on accuracy when I should be concentrating on keeping my body relaxed. I really like this VR stuff but I tell you, I am an idiot about figuring out starting and exiting. Dennis thinks I am hopeless but I have managed to go from program to program and did 3 different coaches and I have increased my accuracy to 87%. I am eating well. I don't lose and I don't gain. Firmness is my goal and shaking off stress. 

It is snowing and the dogs aren't sure about it hitting their body all over but it is the season. We still haven't found the shovel. I am so laughing. 

We have dogs coming and dogs going and lousy weather for a drive. We shall see how that goes. 

I am trying to find amarylis, orchids and anything that blooms to help me get through the winter. Some people embrace winter. Others like me just get through it. 

We have a dental clinic this month and have a couple of spots left. If interested send mail to nathan@potechin.com It is on the 12th. They do a really excellent job and saves you a great deal of money. Then I head out with Ronnie and Elana for a dinner when finished. This Saturday we go out to eat with our son and daughter-in-law to be. It is the holiday time. After that we are very busy with people going away and boarding dogs. That will be a lot of work but a ton of fun. It always is.
