Rain Arrived

Lots of warnings but already the rain has stopped. So all bluster - not reality - thankfully as we were under hail and tornado watch. It got up to 80f today. I could have swam. LOL Pools not warm enough though.

We no longer see the rabbits so maybe old enough to leave the nest? 

In 2 days we have a dental clinic. It will be a very busy day. That's okay. Lots of pearly whites after that!

Dogs ran around like crazy today. It is Dennis day off so he is in the basement enjoying the VR. It is quiet down there. That is where I go to exercise. 

I enjoyed watching the dogs playing their hearts out today. No one reacted to the storm. 

Heating Up

Dogs are enjoying the sun. It is heating up. I need to clean the air conditioner but we have our windows open. 

It is election day. We shall see how that goes. 

Dennis is busy cleaning the garden with the dogs. They are busy stealing branches he cuts down. It is a riot. The dogs are having fun. Dennis - not so much as he chases the dogs to get the sticks and they laughingly run away. It's a day!

Warming

Tuff had a grand time. He is such a great dog. But I washed him 3 times as he LOVES to roll in the dirt, grass and foliage. He is a bloody riot. Much to his irritation he had 3 baths as he kept rolling. I learned my lesson. 3rd time he stayed inside and played. I love how he is such a character. I will be glad when all the grass grows in. 

Everyone left the rabbits alone today. It was interesting. We just look and they go - okay - what a party pooper those humans are. 

Cool Daze

Getting cold outside today. Rabbits are okay and the dogs are adjusting to us getting them to stop being curious. I will be glad when the rabbits are big enough to move on. We watched them via a camera last night but seems the light bothers them so Dennis removed the camera. 

We are slowly getting the pool clean. 

It also seems we have a raccoon walking the fence line. Dennis sprayed it today as he was afraid it would go after the rabbits. Not true but we do not want a raccoon around the dogs. So far this afternoon we haven't seen it. We hope it doesn't find our yard as friendly. It needs to be somewhere else. I swear I feel like we live in the country. 

Happy 5th

Some Do

Here is the gallery.

We had a visitor dog chase a baby rabbit into the pool and drive another out of the yard. Some havanese do have prey drive. We did save the one that went into the pool. We are not sure where the other is. I am rather sad. It will be a miracle for momma rabbit to feed the one that went into the pool. I am glad that we saved it but not sure if we just delayed its death. I am rather sad. What a day this has been.

Dogs are enjoying this weather. Dennis is busy trying to get me to get all the remaining plants out. 

It is a sad day all around as I found out 2 of my friends has cancer - both stage 4 lung cancer. It has been a day. 

Despite all this crap - the dogs had fun. 

Splendid Day Outside - Wow Weather You!

The weather was grand. I decided I wasn't going to listen to Nathan and I filled the pool and I have the cleaner in. Dennis took some of the plants outside and proceeded to leave pieces of plants all over the floors. It was an absolute mess much to the delight of the dogs. He still has the plants in the basement to take out - tomorrow. 

Nathan and I decided to treat ourselves to Dairy Queen tomorrow as a celebration of warmer times. 

We have much to clean up but we will do a little over time. 

I am still exercising and I am at goal. I even have a flat tummy - can you believe. It is the best thing I did for myself - getting healthy. 

We have 3 baby rabbits and so far they are okay. Mom comes early morn and evening to feed them. We still have to protect them. 

I think the dogs are doing a happy dance with this weather.

MS Tenshi is departing any moment so end of blog. LOL

I went to go brush out Tenshi and she said - nah I am fine. LOL I brushed her anyways much to her dismay. 

We are now about to watch tv with the dogs. They had a blast running in this warmish weather. It was delightful out.

Is it Warmer?

It is warm but not warm enough for swimming. The pool is not ready anyways. 

We are having another dental clinic. Contact Nathan if interested.

Dogs played and had a ton of fun today. 

Rabbits are still alive and we are adjusting to protect them. It is not always easy but we do what we need to.

Dogs had fun. It is warmer. They are enjoying the weather but it did rain somewhat. 

Mighty fun for dogs playing here. Tonight they had ground steak cooked up by Nathan. They ate it as if it was yum and I supposed it was.

Happy Easter to all that celebrate. Weather is good. The dogs are playing and I still have a dog to groom after this blog. 

Can't wait till it is pool time. It is not warm or clear enough yet nor is the weather cooperating.

Open Door

We were out more than in today. It was a nice level of warmness and we wanted fresh air indoors and we got it.

We have a full house due to the Easter weekend. The dogs are having fun and I am reading a book on my tablet. I can only read here and there but it has been forever since I was able to. Nothing more than cuddling with dogs and reading. 

Ms Ali just departed. Dennis is feeding everyone. 

I am still exercising daily and feeling healthier for it. I do believe I will need a new bathingsuit. The pool is starting to be cleaned. We shall see how long that takes.

Just got a notification on my computer that temps are plummeting tomorrow. Can you believe?

I have been mighty busy grooming. I just finished. The rabbits are surviving. They are playing. Dennis ran in the halls with them today as he was too nervous around the pool. The dogs are having a blast!

Warming Up

As momma rabbit can't get in and out of there is an xpen out there, we have to protect them at all times as we do have some non havanese that are too keen at getting at them. It's actually a lot of work but it is what it is.

Dogs and us are enjoying this spendid weather. 

Then they want to go back in. It is a process but we take them out many many times a day. Fresh air is a good thing.

Plants are growing. We can sit out at times. They go out - they go in. We play games. We freshen up water bowls more times than I can count. Despite going out certain dogs use the pads so those need to be changed out too. 

Every single dog is having a great time!

Such Fun

We had absolutely wild, crazy and fun play today. We now have 2 non havanese here. Both fit in really well. To say they had a blast today would be an understatement. They played most of the day in and out. 

We are still protecting the rabbits. Dennis has ocd about it but I get it. Tomorrow is his birthday so he has today and tomorrow off. 

I was sick last night so I went to bed early despite Dennis being off. Today I am much better. 

I want to say to our dog people Happy Easter this Sunday. May we have warmth this weekend. I grow weary of this cold. 

We had a really great time today. Now we are going to watch tv and snuggle. That and bedtime  snuggles are the best part of the day. Something about dogs and snuggles that make the craziness of the world easier to deal with.

White Stuff Flying

It called for rain today but can you believe we have white stuff flying?

Dennis has managed to protect the rabbits and they are still alive. He placed out hair from the dogs incase mom wants to protect them. Sounds strange but it seems mom is using. Yoshi wants to mother. Hallie wants to play. Dennis is in protective mode. It is all silly crazy. 

It is cold. I have socks on and a sweatshirt and this is inside. 

Last night Yoshi decided my neck was a grand pillow. Not sure where she got this idea but does your dogs have strange sleeping positions too?

Looking out at outside, we need a major cleanup. Are any of you planning gardens this year with fruits and veggies? Will it ever get warm?

Happy Holidays to all that are celebrating this upcoming weekend. Someone told me they plan a treat hunt this Sunday. LOL Hope they video that! I am rooting for the dog to succeed. You can do THIS!

Pool Open

The pool is open. It is too low. Too green and Nathan refuses to do anything till it is warm. I wanted to at least put the pool cleaner in. He says not for a week.

Dennis has built a upside down house for the baby rabbits that mom can get in but they can stay safe. Leave it to Dennis to think it all through. He loves animals so. 

I have a crazy schedule this week. Dennis has two days off this week due to his birthday so I will be busy but it is the least I can do for all he does here.

Dogs looked in at the pool. They walked around and wondered what is up but otherwise they are adjusting to an open pool. I will be glad when the pool water is not 50f as it is now.

Lately dogs are attempting to wake us up at 6am vs 7am. I think a boarder must have a very early schedule and that is the time they want to get up. Not me. I need that 7am.

Playing In and Out

Reduced blog. Not feeling well so this will be short. Ms younger Daisy has departed. So has Winston. Tomorrow Tuppy, Elvis and Rosey. I need to get better so I can groom tomorrow.

Off to crawl on to the couch.

We have baby rabbits. One of the dogs made one bleed so Dennis is trying to isolate them from the dogs. Joy - Dennis is beside himself. I won't go look as I do not want that visual but it is weighing on my mind.
