4 Weeks 3 days Old

This is Jeannie's gal with a face of not being impressed. You see for the first time one of the Adele pups took the hair and skin on her back and shook her. I immediately stopped it but this is how they learn from their siblings as they are the same size and tell them NO. They test boundaries and learn what they can and can't do. Jeannie's is still smaller and didn't have the body size to get away and say NO. So, in this case I helped her and said NO to the other puppy essentially stopping the play. They learn when play is stopped.

I still believe that giving 1 more week they will be able to stop an overzealous Adele pup. Adele pups are starting to try to test their boundaries. This is quite the norm at their age. Jeannie's will be doing the same in a week.

Here is the gallery.  Plus a bonus gallery!

Jeannie's pups have increased in their walking skills and I have seen them hopping and attempting running. They are right on target in their capabilities.

Tomorrow I will hold the Jeannie and Adele pups together so you can see the size difference.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Does it really hurt a pup when a bigger pup gets hold of a little one?
Sometimes play gets rough doesn’t it.

The way this puppy was playing, yes it hurt. They have a full mouth of teeth. they were playing exceedingly well until then and after that point the next play session they played well but tells me they are not ready to be merged yet.
