Over a Full Day Old

Never any losses. Just slow gain. They are lively and doing well. I expect more significant gains starting tomorrow. But now I am happy with a gain and no loss.

Mom is doing well. She asks to go out. She asks to be fed. Yes, she always has food but nothing like holding the dish for her. She is attentive and knows enough to not lay on them. She does this shuffling with her body to move them so she can lay down and they can come to her. How did she learn that.

She is finally sleeping as I type. Think she was so excited she would only take 5 minutes here and there - cat naps. Not enough. So glad she is relaxed enough to deep sleep.

Photos and galleries later.

What beautiful surprises!

Yeah guess most take after Stone vs Saffron color wise. They are lively things and no matter how much I brush or comb Saffron she is a mess. Pups too young to do a bath with Saffron.

Remind me of Saffron's story - you were going to breed her, but decided not to? She's a Spice pup?

Are Saffie and Stone related closely? I can't recall who is who.
They do look scrummy.
Saffron is so very beautiful, I was shocked when I saw the blog, but bet not as much as you were to have five!

No, not closely related.

Five is a bit much and no one would believe me except Christine and Sherry was here and couldn't tell either. heh She likes to keep secrets.

Shannon: Yes, she is a Spice pup that we didn't plan to keep as she is small. In our saga to try to keep the next generation, we always seem to get small so Cinnamon is big. LOL I had NO and I mean NO plans of breeding her but am thankful she only had 5 vs. 10.

Wow ! Miss a day and the whole world changes ! What a surprise ! I've always thought Saffie is a real doll and now she's a proud Momma. So glad everything went well !

I thought 10 pups in her lines - can't do that for her or us. Glad she only had 5 but still in shock as to where she put them.

Such beautiful pups and a very big surprise for all of us.
