3 Weeks 5 Days Old

Soon this crew will be 4 weeks old and they will have their first taste of food. Although they already try to get moms but they have yet to be successful.

Here is today's gallery.

Saffron had an upset tummy for the first time in all the times she has had pups last night. Poor Dennis had clean up all night. It seems she ate Rowan's food and well it didn't sit with her well. Pups skipped a feeding as what happens with moms happens with them and then it was gone. This is called a dietary indiscretion. They are back eating and so is she. She is happy and doing well today and so are the pups.

Her pups are so animated now. They love playing with me and playing with their mom.

I have taken off a section of blanket so they can now see out. Safi lays close. They seem to be real comfortable at seeing the other moms and pups but Saffron stays in protection mode where she just lays real close and won't leave them. So when she has to go out, I cover up the area. She will adjust. She is a first time mom who loves her pups and wants to make sure they are safe when she is not there watching.

Pups light up when they see her. I am so pleased with this crew. Now how long will I be able to weigh black and white? It's debatable. Each time she tries and accomplishes at times to jump out or bounce that scale all over the place. I may have to bring the flat scale downstairs or a large bowl. We shall see.

Tomorrow I get to do a morning feeding and before bed feeding. Will miss my time with all the pups. But I am also excited about getting out and who knows maybe I will find things for the pups.

PS: Pups are already tryin to eat Saffron's food. I think they are ready for food on Sunday. They are small little things but it seems like they are ready.
