3 Weeks Old: A Delay

Here is the gallery.

Although it is 3 weeks and usually I like to take them out of their whelping box at 3 weeks or whenever they attempt to climb out - we are going to delay till tomorrow.

We simply don't have the time to invest in such a milestone till tomorrow. We had a Sage puppy depart and we had a Nami pup come to visit and yes, I had grooming to do. So, we arrive at doing the change sometime tomorrow.

The pups are starting to get interesting. They cuddle with feet on the back of a sibling. We had one move a  sibling off one sibling so they could have a pillow. I watched this with interest. No, he's my pillow. They are making noises now. They have no qualms calling mom to eat. Sometimes she ignores so they can go back to sleep. She knows when the milk stations are empty. Sometimes she comes to make sure they are okay. She knows the meaning of the cries as they are different. She reminds me of our late Risa with pups. Don't get me wrong, she is super attentive but if they are supposed to be sleeping and she fed them 10 minutes ago, she more or less tells them it's time for a nap. Even at 3 weeks she is trying to not create habits you can't easily break.

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
