Messy Times

Here is the gallery.

Well, yesterday I not only changed their food and dewormed all in the same day but we also placed them upstairs without mom.

Cleaning bums, the pen, pads has not been fun. They were fine with upstairs. I watched and mostly the slept till they had to go. They have small bladders and tummies at this age so sleeping through the night is way too early. My mistake was changing the food and deworming at once. We are still cleaning up (ok, I am) but it is better than last night and this morning. I cringed every time I came in as I knew it was a huge job between washing puppy bottoms and cleaning the pen plus oh that laundry. This is why we deworm to save you the fun. Deworming more times than not loosens their stools. Add in a change of food and it is a disaster.

So, they survived the night. They are now 5 weeks old tonight. They are walking on flooring. They have started climbing though not climbing out of the xpen yet as we have both gates open in case mom wants to feed them.

Otherwise they came out. They played. Dogs were barking. Loud noises from the humans. Reminder I am taking videos but I almost gave up.

Next Sunday the 6 week visit. Wow

Be sure to check out the videos and don't forget about the shorts.
