9 Days Old

Today, I had them in my lap as they fed from Hallie. I am doing whatever I can to make them smell me, feel me so when thir eyes are open, I am a comfort. I do this with all the pups but I am able to do it the way that I can with only 2. It is a wonderful experience.

Here is the gallery.

It is hard to believe that it is 9 days since the pups arrived. It goes by so fast though I must admit I am looking forward to the open eyes stage.

A few videos are already up.

8 Days Old

The pups are now 8 days old. They are vocal when they want mom. Mom reacts to them or then says you need to sleep after checking them out.

Here is the gallery.

It is funny that they have very similar markings. The boy is larger than the gal. Both like to eat. Hallie is picky and then eats treats like she is starving. She is a riot. But she has enough milk as they are gaining.

I can't wait till their eyes open. I want them to see who is snuggling with them. How selfish of me.

Videos are already up. I may doone or two more.

One Full Week Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups are doing well. They do fuss for mom at times. She is comfortable enough to let them sleep. The videos are here.

The pups and mom remain relatively easy. No fretting about weight gain and they do sleep between feedings. Mom has no milk impactation. She can get semi picky about food but when hungry will eat.

Another week and then we go day by day wondering when eyes will open. It will be a fun journey.

6 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups are 1 day short of a full week. They want for nothing. They eat, they sleep and sometimes they fuss to say mom, where are you? I can't wait till their eyes open and they are running around. They will be so much fun.

Here are the videos. They are always found here. I upload them at different times when I have a moment.

5th Day

Here is the videos - already up.

The boy is indeed gaining faster than the gal. He so loves to eat. He's probably going to be one of those treat motivated boys.

Hallie is starting to get picky about food. She now goes outside every morning when we wake up. It's perfect as it allows me to change the bedding, take photos and video while she is out with the rest enjoying. She is only out a short bit but enough to allow the things to get done. She is super relaxed.

I do hold them a few times a day outside of the whelping box to get them used to and enjoying human touch. Hallie jumps up into the recliner curious on what I am doing but now that it's been 5 days of this experience, she jumps up, sniffs and says - you are okay.

Here is the gallery.
