Incision Look

Click on Photo for Larger View

As you can see it is perfectly clean. Not straight entirely but looks good. No redness. Temps so far are holding. She just told Misty no, you can't have my babies. Interesting times. She is not wincing when I hold her. She was when she got home.

She sits and smiles and had some of the steak Sylvia made as she looked at me with those adoring eyes - just 2 pieces and went I want more. I am so laughing. If she improves like this, I am so delighted. Thanks to all of you that cared, she went from really bad shape (I did not take those photos) to look at her  beaming as she has beautiful puppy puppies!

Thank you again to all that cared.

Dennis was worried doing night duty but she is eating. I usually get night shift if something is wrong. Thank you Dennis as I so needed sleep.

Raven and Misty goes out of their minds to see me each morning. It must be the massages!

There are 2 updates today!

that's a pretty tidy incision on Raven. The vet probably noticed how pretty she is and took care to not scar her too much. Anyways, I am so relieved that she and the pups are doing well. Yay!!!

Wow, the incision looks great. I can barely see any sutures on the skin. Do you think the doc used skin glue to close off the skin? I mean the cardiac surgeons also use skin glue to close the superficial skin in the chest if things go well in the OR.
Yes, the steak... I also fed Tenshi some before she came to you. And she was wondering why she didn’t get more... these Havanese know how to use their cute little eyes to ask for things...
I hope the humans enjoy the food too! Since Raven is doing not too bad, it is time to celebrate the little victories!

Nice job on that suturing, and no redness at all.👍

We are so glad to read that Raven is looking happier and heading in the right direction! We have been following along closely for the past few weeks, but weren't sure what to do to help. It has been quite the rollercoaster for you all - we are so sorry for your loss with the other three pups. Those posts were heartbreaking to read, so we can't imagine how difficult they were to write.

We hope that things can settle into more of your usual routine with the new pups and moms. Thank you for the continued updates - we value them so much and from the countless comments it's obvious that we are not alone.

Thinking of you all and hoping for a smooth and safe recovery for Raven,
Troy & Amanda

So happy to see Raven’s incision is so clean and neat. Must be a great vet to be so careful in stitching up just like a plastic surgeon!
Raven will no doubt spring along now that she is reunited with her pups and home to everyone. Thanks so much for sharing everything and Best wishes.

I agree a beautiful perfect incision. And very clean. I think the relationship between Misty and Raven is funny. So nice that we are able to even think about that. Raven is so beautiful and I’m so happy she is enjoying the pups. What a wonderful mother. Darlah I can tell you can breath a bit better and that helps me breath too. Kisses to all of you and two for Raven.
