Parler en Français

Oh Coops Nathan has to start talking to you in French. Will you listen?

Here's today's gallery.

Someone is putting in a deck behind us so all we hear is tool noise. Was hoping to be out there with Jeannie for a bit. Maybe after Logan and Panda goes home the trades people will quit. Wait till Lynda sees Panda with Trouble.

Will Spice be bothered by Jeannie nursing some of her pups?

Trouble thinks she's "the big dog" no matter who she plays with. Will Panda be staying for awhile with Trouble?

Interesting enough I have girls that really care for each other. We gave a puppy to Roxie from Spice when she had 10 and they both mothered that puppy without issue. I believe it bonded Spice and Roxie closely. I am lucky as I have gals with great temperaments. Some mothers would not allow. But they trust each other. Interesting enough they don't trust strangers in the early weeks as pups are vulnerable but each other and us and those they know - yes - total trust. Once they know the pups are mobile and able to not be so vulnerable, they tend to assess and allow till they totally relax. It's why when we have the puppy visits the moms tend to be in show off mode. Look at my pups. I have truly special gals.

I do know other havanese breeders that have had a mom kill the other moms pups. If that happened, in my opinion that mom should never be bred again. But that's my opinion and I tend not to tell others what to do. It's the old analogy - walk a mile in my shoes.

So, I count myself lucky as my girls rather enjoy each other and most of all trust each other.

Anne: I am glad!

So tell me Ann what did I miss? You are moving to either Quebec or France. Which is it? Coop has beautiful colouring. Remind me again. Who is his mother? Darlah guess why we all have wonderful and loving dogs? Because of you and Nathan. You give the moms love! They in turn are loving Moms and have loving pups. How lucky we all are. Thank you. I can't wait to see all the pups.

Ronnie, we've been unsuccessful in finding a home in Burlington or GTA area. It's a bidding war out there and totally crazy. So we're exploring the Quebec market, which is where we are from. Coop's mom is Teaser and his dad is Mugs (passed away a few years ago), both from Paula.

Anne: It's a lovely area. My sister lives between Chelsea and Wakefield. Her collie loves the wide open spaces and although they are in Quebec they are only half an hour from Ottawa
