Too Busy and Too Tired

I just took a quick photo of a few of the dogs waiting for dinner. They can smell it but its not in their dish yet. We always add ground beef, or chicken or turkey etc at the night meal. We add roast chicken in the morning meal and sometimes they get leftover fish or steak. So the dogs REALLY look forward to eating. heh. Besides they expel so much energy that they are hungry.

To Magic's parents - she is eating and doing so with gusto.

Tomorrow if I am alive I will try to do a better update.

I will be updating the Spice blog with Farley's update and of course Rowan. Rowan's human mom will be coming to spend time with the dogs tomorrow so I may get in a swim, groom dogs and do normal things like that. We will see how the day unfolds.

Hi Darlah. I tried to post to Rowan's blog but said an "error". Anyway. congratulations a beautiful litter. No wonder you are tired. Hope you all get some rest. It does say a lot for Rowan to trust you, but of course I am not surprised.

I may have missed something but who is Rowan?

July 24, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterAnne and Cooper

Rowan is a dog owned by a breeder that we know that is in the midst of moving. So, we were asked to whelp her 2 litters, Rowan and Emmie. Emmie is due next week. The plan is to do it for a few weeks till everything comes together for her. I had so many plans.

Hoping Emmie is a daytime delivery as this really knocked the socks out of me. I am fighting staying awake as I type.

I knew about the two litters but I must have missed the name Rowan. Hope all goes well and we wish you all the best with the whelpings.

Do dogs ever deliver identical twins rather than just fraternal twins? I'm looking at Rowan's puppies, all black and white and it made me wonder.

Ohh ... I missed that there were puppies born, and of course, in the middle of the night. No wonder your zapped! Take care and yes, hope Emma's pups arrive in the daylight!

busy, busy. Darlah those garden projects may have to wait awhile.
You and Nathan must be exhausted from the middle of the night delivery.

Rowan and her pups look quite content.

We had twins once in the same sack. Rowan's all were individual deliveries but they are similar in markings. These dogs are related to one of our lines.
