A Story Today

Miko the TT was here and he was playing up a storm with Tchibo. At first Tchibo was not sure what this larger being was but then they started playing. It was great to have this exposure for him and Miko really loves the puppies.

Miko decided to go for a swim today so I was blow drying him when his mom came. It wasn't intentional on my part but it was on Miko. I was laying in the pool and well he got the idea swimming was what he wanted to do. Unfortunately I do not have photos of it but he can swim. I wasn't counting on having to dry him but he had fun.

The pool is barely at 70. I am hoping tomorrow it is in the 80s even if I have to sneak out and turn it on so it is on all night. ROFL

You see I got this idea that I was going to float in the pool despite it being cold but I hate cold water so I edged partially in to get on the raft and it literally felt like I was laying in a pool of ice. The heater says 70 but really it was cold. I was shivering and then Nathan took a few photos of me (they are in the gallery and I hate photos of me) but I had to share as it's part of the story. He had me laughing so hard that I kept sinking and getting colder by the minute and yes he was doing it in purpose.

I will tell you I never intended on doing this but it's warm out and i love the pool so I was determined but if I had to do it again - NO - NO -NO! I didn't even take a towel out as I didn't plan to do this. I had just planned to lay out on a recliner.

The dogs thought I was nuts as I was laughing. Ella wanted to go in and yes Miko went in after Nathan took the camera in. I then blow dried him and here's to maybe getting more dogs in tomorrow but I will tell you if the temps are like it was today (water wise) i wouldn't do that to the dogs but Miko didn't mind it one bit.

Maybe I need to come back as a dog?

Ozzie departed today (schnauzer mix). It's endearing to watch him loving up Nathan.

Inula is still in heat. No one else is. Adele is having morning sickness. Jeannie is absolutely pregnant.

May the sun last - well forever! Can we have the summer we never had now? The dogs and I would love that. Can you do something about it?

Nice story and pictures, Darlah. Laughter is the best and cheapest medicine we got and is lightening our spirit. Ines makes us laugh everyday and for that we thank you, Nathan and Dennis.
How do you know that Jeannie is absolutely pregnant? Does she play with a toy? Did she whisper you her secret? :)

That Raven is a BEAUTY -love pic2801 with Cinnamon (?) and (?).
You're a gutsy lady. Wouldn't catch me floating on 70 degree water!!!!! I was ready to jump in the pool when I got home Sunday only to find it 72 and was frippin mad that I had forgot to put the heater on when I left Friday. Tried cranking it up, but it was too late in the day. Was fine my Monday.
Good news, supposed to be very warm and sunny over the next 5 days so go turn that heater on, Darlah!

Jeannie acts a certain way when pregnant and she is indeed my 2nd skin at bedtime.

I may wait till Nathan goes to bed and put it back on this evening. ROFL

Yes 70 was like laying on ice but believe me the body eventually got used to it but then I had to get parts wet that were not to get out of the pool. That was NOT fun but no towel and I dried off. The air felt wonderful after that.

Thanks Darlah for the update and pictures. Miko has so much fun at your place! He gets excited in the car as we drive up to the house, and even more at the door step. Too bad no pictures of him in the pool, but at least we know he can swim! He's actually very comfortable at your house, usually he is shy and hesitant. That just shows how much he enjoys it with your crew. Thank you so much for welcoming him into your house.

Karen Rusty is the same when we go to D and H. We have to say initials because if we say Darlah and Nathan Rusty is waiting at our door.

Darlah I have often said you deserve a medal for all you do but going in a pool that is 70 degrees really is brave (or crazy haha). I am glad it will be warmer for the next few days. . Hope you enjoy. Time for the holidays.

Way to go Darlah! Looking for a repeat story every day this week :-) Great shots of all the dogs!

Karen: Yes too bad about the pool shots indeed. Glad you were late so I could get him dried. :-) The only thing you can do to help him with his hesitancy is to do classes and expose, expose, expose. The more they experience the more they relax. We fear what we do not know or understand. That is true of humans and canines.

Yes, he rather likes it here!

Tchibo looks like a brave little guy. Nice that he played with the larger TT. I am sure that he played well with Miko. Love the pictures of sweet Spicey. All the dogs seem to enjoy this more comfortable weather.
