Such Fun

I had so many great moments of play and then I went and deleted them. I think I have so much on my mind that I did an oops and it was unfortunate as I had brewer flying through teh air. When I realized this and I took the camera out again, he was spent. I did manage to get a few others but Logan was too tuckered out. I even had him giving a huge kiss to my daughter. when you screw up, you really screw up. Here is what I did catch. I am still upset with what I lost.

No Photo Day

Had the audacity to go to the Farmer's market and look what I found. I have been waiting for this plant to hit Canada for years. I was so excited when I saw it. 

So blame it on my 30 minute adventure and catch-up on many things that didn't get done on Saturday. Tomorrow I promise to do better.

It's been in Canada for a few years but in very small batches and they were not mature plants. Still hard to get but it is a medinilla magnifica. It's a potted plant but you can have it outside out of direct sun. You water it from the bottom. What that means is you place the pot in about a half an inch to an inch of water for 10-20 minutes once a week and don't water it otherwise. It can hold blooms for 3 to 5 months. To get it to reflower it needs temps between 14-18c. for a month or two so night time cool is great in fall. You only fertilize it after it is done blooming. You use orchid fertilizer every 2nd watering until you see the start of buds. it's really an easy plant supposedly. You also can't repot till after it is done flowering.. If anyone sees a Tibouchina, I so want too. Dennis killed mine over the winter. I rarely can get out to a garden center so please - will pay. :-)  I guess in July I will have more time. :-)

6 Week Visit

Oh it's for the puppies. Well, in that case we will just lounge and enjoy the pleasant weather.

Hagia dropped in and Trouble and Hagia have been playing and playing and playing.

Here's a gallery of most of the dogs. Sorry - today I didn't get Penny as she was hanging out with Dani and Sarah plus friends downstairs - which she loves doing. She goes down with River and Adele and plays in the downstairs with the grandkids. They also had some guests over so they were showing them off. :-) The grandkids picks who to bring down to play but it is mostly those that pick them.

We are heading out now shortly and have to get the pups playing so Dennis has an easier time till we get back.

Baths & Short Blog

Yes, its a short blog update today. I decided I must do all 18 pups as I don't want 9 feeling tired for the 1st visit due to the bath just before. So.... I had Molly move to Monday - thnx! I just now finished Clarity and she will be blown out, touched up tomorrow. I did the 3 moms already. 

Pups and Moms will be touched up tomorrow.

So I need to set up and see how long it will take me to do all 18.  I have a confirmation tonight. Our daughter is at a work related conference she is helping to run. She works for Green Roofs - a non profit organization. We meet her at confirmation tonight. That leaves us geting us and the girls ready. So if blogs are extra short - hope you get it.

Getting Quiet

Blogs are short as I am still grooming but I should be done by 9pm. hahaha

Everyone is departing but Clarity dropped in. Penny is still having a truly wonderful time. 

Back to working... sorry! See you Saturday - perhaps alive - perhaps not.

Yeah We Are Messy and Proud

Today I was painting outdoors and throwing a toy between.  This is how they looked after running after the toy for a full hour. Poor Brewer had his tongue hanging down and Saffron and Murphy looked at him as if to say -  well are you going to just sit there?

My Schedule

On Friday I am not able to do blogs except one liners. Saturday will be the same. I apologize but this is my schedule:

Friday wash

3 moms and 3 other dogs (haircuts for some) plus brush out mine and visitors. Then we head out for Danielle's confirmation and festivities. 

Saturday 18 puppies starting at 730am so I can be ready for the 1st visit. Nathan will have to get the rest ready. If not, I have to get up at 6am. 

When everyone leaves I have a big grooming job that usually takes me a few hours. Plus I have 1 more to do.

On Sunday I hope to take a break. We shall see.

I always wash 6 and 8 weeks but I usually take photos. I said I can't do photos. Pups take approx 15 minutes each. Do the math. :-) After playing the numbers every which way, this is my schedule.

Thursday 3 moms plus trim on one dog - bathe Clarity next day.

Friday: Saffron, Molly, Clarity and 9 pups - Clarity just before bed so she looks her best for Saturday.

Saturday - 7am wake up, feed and start 9 pups, brush outs for moms and Clarity. After 2 puppy visits do my 3 hour and Hagia (Hagia late before bed so she looks fresh for next day). Will brush and comb out Hagia for Sunday but otherwise recuperate time.

8 week visit I plan to do photos at bath times so no other groomings will be booked. I will have to do them over a 2 day period. Moms will be done on the Thursday.

Many do not understand how much work it is to do the puppies right. Even the vet visit is going to be done over 2 days as the vet says he can't do 18 at once.

Then we do all the social matchups with pups, test them etc

Baths & Short Blog

Teddy was here to play and get a grooming. Kona had a bath even though he's going home tomorrow as he needed one. 

Tomorrow is Nathan's birthday so I am trying to lighten my load so I can lighten Nathan's tomorrow. Does that make sense? Did get him the used camera but I think he would have been happier with me fixing the screen on his ipad. Yes, he broke ot again. I think he needs to get it fixed and a SHOCKPROOF case. I have never dropped mine once.

Penny laid on the top step today and got soaked. I swear she was smiling.

We placed Ash and Grey in with the pups but both just stood there. Perhaps they are too gremlin like at this stage. But there was a lot of curiosity!

Pool Time For Some

Murphy couldn't help herself. She saw Dani having so much fun and she had to go in too. Still didn't get her to try out the raft but we will when it isn't so impromptu. Here's today's gallery.

Too bad pool time was so late today and too bad Nathan can't go in yet. 

Did try to get Penny in but she was having none of it. :-) 

Earlier today Brewer started the chase game. I ran out with the camera and clicked it and then noticed it said no stick in the camera. Nathan says you only have yourself to blame. I guess so but its moments like a mad dash up and down the walkways, into the grass, on to the chairs then a mad dash up on the deck that you wish was captured. I hate stupid errors like that.

No Pool Day

I had a quick dip in the pool but the dogs didn't go in.They still had fun. Kona was excited as I was in the pool and he thought Ella would jump in but not today.

Boy is it a hot one. 

Going to try to get Penny in the pool but so far she has not shown interest but she surely loves to laze on the cushions and watch.

Sorry Late

Had great fun at Woofstock (here's a few photos taken) but groomed all afternoon. Thank you to those that made the trek. Did we get treats and I will post my cooling mat name in a bit. (K&H Pet Bed Cooler)

Now the pool so blogs will be short and extra late but will post Woofstock photos and Barney (Leti's choco boy) is here. Will post a photo of him too.

Now the pool and food for the 1st time is calling me but after the pool.

Just finished the pool and eating. I didn't take Barney in as he is getting bathed tomorrow. I will take him in before I bathe him in the afternoon. But Ella came in, Trouble and the Kona boy. See the gallery. Kona is so smittened with Ella it is unreal. He went into the pool after the Ella. He is so focused on her and she plays along.

Trouble can also swim rather well.

I got my first burn of the season. 

We are busy expanding the pen upstairs. So short blogs tonight.

Meet Us Today: Saturday~

Meet us at Woofstock. Dogs are welcomed. We meet at the restaurant across the street from Woodbine park. Here is the location. Meet up happens on May 28, 2016 at 9:30 to 945am. We should be there at 9am. Look forward to seeing your havanese there and the humans too! Don't have your havanese yet? Well join us anyway!

Nathan survived the surgery. He didn't even numb it. It would have cost more. hahahaha He's in pain but says he's feeling better than when he did it. He's not a sandals guy so he says one foot will have a sneaker on it and the other a sandal. Now that is comical. He's paranoid about the dogs stepping on it.

By Monday they will know if they have to remove the entire nail never to come back. Here's hoping he doesn't. But he's fine. No showers. He was told to bag it or not take a shower. He told him he took a shower today so he should be good for a month. I think the guy was trying to distract him. He called him a comedic surgeon.

He is to have his leg up on high when resting. No swimming pool. I guess I get it to myself - well along with the daughter and grandkids.

What a way to convince him he can wear sandals in the summer. 

Dogs are great. I just fed everyone while Nathan rested. See, I can do that too. 

Hoping to see all of you tomorrow and to get some great finds for the dogs. 

Going to get Murphy in the pool in the raft when she comes back for a visit. Want her to use it first.

Oh My Gad Is It Hot Or What!

Okay, that isn't what Jesse was saying but I could imagine him saying this. It rained today and Jesse, Murphy and Murphy (yes 2 Murphys) went home and they are missed. Laura sold her place for more than expected and she found a place she wanted so the duo will have a huge house with a huge backyard. They are going to love it. Happy moving, Laura. 

Must say happy moving to Kona (his mom) and Cooper's parents. Reggie is also moving. It's a crazy life change for so many. May it be exciting and please stay in touch all of you.

Kona is here and is a massive fan of the girls and I mean a massive fan. He snuggles with me when we watch tv. I just love it!

Penny wants to fix Nathan's foot. It must be the mother in her. She's having a great time.

Dusty dropped in tonight. 

We have a cool house - HOORAY. Tracy closed off the deck on one side. 

We didn't make it to the last Trouble and Havoc class. Nathan's foot - well he's seeing a surgeon tomorrow.

It rained. I groomed. I bathed. It is almost Woofstock time. Hope to see you there.

Air and More

We have air conditioning. Dennis melted the line that was frozen. (Last night was toasty but the dogs had their cooling mats and were very happy). Me, not so much - well happy for them but not for me.

We took out the filter (was dirty) and we still have air. We need another air filter. Looking into washable, non washable but something that doesn't restrict the air flow. Ideas? We have one room upstairs that boils as it doesn't have the air flow. Have to look into blowers on the vents. I think they make them. 

Oh well, rain today. House is comfortable and we will still try to swim. Nathan's camera is a hit and miss. One thing at a time. May have a line on a remedy for Nathan's camera just in time for his birthday next week. 

Looking forward to Woofstock. Think we are bringing Stone and Trouble. Now if Nathan's foot cooperates. It's better not whole. 

Now off to do laundry and comb out dogs. Pups are sleeping!

Oh my gad we actually feel the air and the dogs are playing silly crazy. Kona is in love with the girls though Penny says - I don't think so. The rest are smittened with him.

Hot!

4 baths and dryers today and no air. Nathan's camera is working as a hit and miss. Here is the gallery. Off to go outside with the dogs and cool off as it is cooler at the moment outdoors. We let the lines melt and we are trying it again. If it doesn't work we call the air conditioning guy. This is gettinbg to be a yaerly thing. <sigh>

wATER, cHILLIN AND pLAY

Roxie jumped in the pool. No, I didn't have my camera so she fed her pups with damp hair. I have to take a note from her book - a gal has to have fun no matter what!

I had a very full day grooming and wish I had got more than a 2 minute dip but it is what it is. They say it is warm tomorrow.

We need air on but Nathan doesn'[t think so. So, I am typing amd sweating. He's sick so he doesn't know the difference. hahaha

I take showers and stay wet before bed.

What a Habit

I can blame the long weekend. I can blame too much to do and all is true. These adventures outdoors etc all add to the day plus with visitors etc I get set back. So stay tuned. We will get back to the daily updates. 

Everyone is doing really, really well. No one went swimming today but we shall see what tomorrow brings. 

No Update?

With Nathan's camera really no longer working, it's hard to click the adults. I use mine for the pups so we are looking for a solution. Well, I am looking for one. So, between crazy busy and having relatives over, its a blog less day but I will try to do better tomorrow. Though the pool is calling me.

Nathan just crawled into bed. He's rather sick so that means I am carrying that load. So - be patient with me.

No Update Here

I had the audacity to go to the store with my daughter so I am sadly behind. I wasn't gone long but enough to get to Home Depot to get the wrong dowel. Stopped off at Canadian Tire to see a lovely selection of plants and went to Loblaws to get items needed and I managed to get a herb pot but didn't buy anything else but a dowel that is too small. Go figure.

I wasn't here when Sherry came and I truly tried to get back for it but Loblaws line ups were already long. I guess its the long weekend. 

Till tomorrow which brings visitors and maybe a semi war, pool. Pool heater is fixed and it is now 71F - a far cry from 85f. We will see who goes in.
