No Photo Day

Sorry - we are playing - we are watching tv. We are even napping together - dogs and us - well Nathan is. 

It's a no snap day today. 

Wild Children Fun

Got to love the dogs. This was Cooper before he went home. He was making a mad dash to try to catch Casey. They had so much fun today but we were not always clicking. It was a busy day. Here is a small gallery.

We also have Abigail here and Adele's brother Bentley. Abigail doesn't look the same as her hair is very short but she is still her. See if you can figure out who is Ms Abs. Roxie already said, no, I am the queen here. She didn't do it in a mean way. She just wanted to say... I am queen. Usually it is Risa who has that slot but as Ms. Risa gets older she could care less. hehehe Dogs are so funny. I feel so blessed to have the Ms. Abs visiting. 

Casey is also cut short and she seems to enjoy the shorn look as she can run like the wind. Everyone enjoyed chasing Casey today but most of all she enjoyed them chasing her.

Penny has been a snuggle bunny. Everyone is doing well but I had a dematting today that took me almost 3 hours so the blogs are what they are... Just know they ARE all having fun.

Unbrushed Times

Okay, I brushed some, had already brushed some and well didn't get to some yet but I did get to all. :-) You can't tell. Here is a gallery from yesterday and today. Everyone is having a TOTAL blast with each other. I think Coops is cheating as he seems smitten with Saffron today who I brush one minute and then the next Nathan says I brushed Saffron so you don't have to. I laugh and say well I already did. He said nah...

Merry Christmas: New Photos Added As They Come

Dear Darlah and Nathan:

Santa's little buddy Lola has been busy helping to open everyone's gifts this morning.  Santa brought her lots of treats and now she is happily lounging. Lola and our whole family send the whole extended Talemaker Havanese family all the very best for the Holiday Season and for the New Year.   May the gift of owning a Havanese grace many new families this year, and may our dogs continue to bring joy to our lives.

Small Update

I apologize but just before Christmas (tomorrow is like this too) we get extra busy. I am busy doing baths, groomings, cuts etc all for Christmas day plus combing out the rest. It has been an exceptionally busy day today so no photos were taken except this one.

We also had the daughter here trying to set up bedrooms as she will be moving in soon. I really need a timeout as tomorrow will be a non update day except for Christmas photos. So, if you have any that you want me to post, please send them to my email at darlah@potechin.com

Right now I have Debi, Shannon, Leos family and the Cooper's. If I missed someone - let me know but that all this feeble brain can think of.

The dogs are really, really having fun. Dolly was here today and she was a total riot playing the chase game inside. It is still raining off and on and still warm. Penny decided to take over Ella's spot in the tv room. Dallas can't get enough of the pups and Cooper has a harem of gals surrounding him. I am so laughing but it is so true. 

Looks like a green Christmas. 

Extra Wet

It was Really wet out there and I spent most of my time today combing out dogs and cleaning feet and undercarriages. So, here are some of the photos. I wish I had more.

Dogs are having a blast and Dallas really likes Stone. They seemed to have clicked.

It was a balmy weather feeling day but it's been raining. So dogs being dogs couldn't help themselves.

Oh and Ella is in heat. She's too young to breed but it means no mingling with the boys - of course. It's going to be fun when she is in the height of it. 

Me, I want to lay down but I have to get a crate ready for the puppy journey to vet experience. Wait till they see Charlie and Charlie sees them.

Heated Times

Just as we get into the busy times at 1 year 3 months old, Ella just started her heat. Guess she's now in my office. 

Wet and Messy

See what I contend with when it rains? They were just bathed but they don't look like it. Here's a small gallery. I brushed everyone out but it doesn't look like it. Ozzie gets bathed after dinner so he can stay clean before his momma comes to get him. 

Little Cold

I want you to laugh but it was a tad chilly out today and the dogs would only stay out for short stints. I am sure they will adjust but it gets warmer tomorrow so I assume outdoors will be for longer periods. We only have a few photos as we didn't click that much outdoors. 

Tomorrow Ozzie departs. We will then have a couple of quiet days and then we start getting into the holiday dawg spirit. I have dogs to wash and dogs to comb out. 

I am a little behind on updating things as pups going home take time. There are baths, photos, videos etc.

We have a vet visit on Wednesday with the 2 pups and photos will be clicked then. `

Late Update

Sorry - the blogs are late but thank you for reminding me in email. hahahahahaha

You see I had many dogs to bathe/cut etc today. We also had 2 pups go home. I had to create videos, galleries and well I just finished everything else.

The dogs are having a blast. Here's a small gallery. Sorry with pups going there are simply so many updates but the dogs are having fun. 

On top of the baths, preparing for pups going home, preparing for blogs, each time I had a moment I was brushing a dog out. I was also doing laundry and wondering if I was ever going to get done in time for the blogs. So, here it is. Everyone is more than fine. Now to get the rest of the blogs done. :-)

Nathan and Dennis are now vegging watching the tv with a sea of dogs on them. Me, I am blogging.

It's Still Mucky So....

Here is Tre after his bath. He is staying in till Momma comes.

Then there is Cali - all nicely groomed and she smooshed her face. Taking a photo was not possible.

I took a Mason Pearson to her face and had it shiny and smooth and well she is famous for the face smoosh much like Spice and her pups. Not related but maybe somewhere in that background they got that same gene.

Gerda is coming shortly to play with the pups and pickup her 3. They are off to holiday celebrations. 

I had on my new grooming shirt from Adriana (Lucy and PJ) and Juan. Got compliments from Anne and Russell. Thank you again!!

Anne and Russell - so thankful and for Dennis he is over the moon happy that someone thought of him. Truly!

Cooper is having a blast. 

Tre, Cali and Kismet departed and I will tell you they don't look freshly brushed. heh It was great to see Gerda and her sister. 

Eating lunch then off to do puppy baths and playing with the dogs. 

Jesse and Murphy dropped in. It's a fun house. May not get mom's blogs done other than just bathed photos. 

Wet and Mucky

I want you to know at 730am I brushed out Cali. She is going to get a bath either before bed or early tomorrow morning as she departs. I place up this photo as you now know my quandry. I think she will be bathed last. hahahaha I just love that she messes herself up and really she brings the forest in with her as many do. Here is a small gallery today. I am busy tonight doing grooming so I wanted to not be sitting at 10pm doing blogs. 

Everyone is a total mess and everyone was groomed. So tonight they all get groomed again. I give up combing them out many times a day. :-)

Blast From the Past

Just found this photo from my archives and had to share it of Ripley - a Katsura son. I am dreaming about that white stuff about now as I am exhausted from all this combing out wet coats. This is a no photo day - sorry other than pups.

We are still busy getting rooms ready for the daughter and grand daughters to move in. It's more work than I thought as we are juggling rooms, throwing out things that take up room etc. I am also getting things ready for pups departing. Radar tomorrow..... Last one departs on Monday. 

Still waiting for that Japanese food. :-)

We also just had 2 dogs cancelled - well their owners for the holiday time frame and I had been turning away people so we now have 2 slots open. <sigh> Sorry to those I turned away. If I only knew. I do so apologize.

Today Kona departed. He was happy to come - happy to depart. He just loves his momma so! I love it!

Dallas arrived (see her playing with the pups in the gallery on Adele's page) and well Friday Gerda comes for her trio who will be bathed extra early. I hope the rain ceases. Can you imagine trying to keep Tre clean who thinks the rain is meant for him and Cali who is a swiffer mop as she is so close to the ground the water wicks up. hahaha But Kismet I swear says sit down lady - yeah in that recliner. I need a lap. Better yet a soft blanket to settle in on a lap is the best. Going to miss this trio.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. We may be busy but we are thinking about all of you - truly and hoping its the best or at least you get through it. :-)

Muddy Times: Gallery Added

Murphy this morning. She appears oblivious to the dirty feet and under carriage. I have to laugh.

This is Murphy just before she departed today. She sure cleans up nicely and look at all that black coming in.

Due to the rain everyone is rather messy. PJ and Lucy gets a bath (they dropped in for the day) and tomorrow  Radar and Kona gets a bath. This rain sure offers it's challenges.

Outdoor Wetness

There are 2 updates today but I didn't want to overshadow the previous post with a gallery of the wetness. They aren't running too much but they are getting SOAKED. Here's the gallery. We only took a few photos. But everyone is playing their hearts out indoors. Dennis even ran with them like crazy upstairs and they so love that!

Hoping tomorrows is dryer as today I am brushing my arm off. :-) I may wait till tomorrow and hopefully its dryer and they will remain decemt after I brush. Today they look like I didn't even touch them. But oh they are having so much fun.

Kona's Dad

Kona's dad passed away last night.

We at the Talemaker crew are so sad to hear it but it sounds like he fought the tough fight. 

Our thoughts go out to Kathy and to Kona. The living need the support and those that depart are at peace. 

We are honestly here no matter what the need. 

As he requested cremation there will not be a service. I know many of you asked.

Kona was able to hang out with his brother Ty today. He's had a great amount of fun. He jumps from the couch to the chair with ease. He so loves the tv time and yes he's been out in this mucky rain.

Momma Kathy will be coming for her boy on Wednesday after doing all the things that this life stage brings.

Wet and Muddy

Everyone has been out many times a day but these 2, Kona and Jeannie decided they like to stay dry. hahahaha

Dennis was out with all of them other than the duo and they came in drenched. Dennis refused to take photos as he didn't want to be responsible for keeping the camera dry. But before it really came down he did manage to get Satch, Murphy, Inula, Saffron with the pups. Those photos will be in Roxie's blog.

Everyone is really having a great time but I will tell you they just want to snuggle into us and the blankets vs. getting muddy and soaked. They say rain again tomorrow. <sigh> 

More brushing for me during tv time. Let's see who wants to lay on me when they realize I have a brush and a comb. I best have treats available. It's a brush and comb out twice today day other than Kona and Jeannie. Those smarty pants.

Kona is Special

It's another wet day.

I like to do memory days when the weather is bad as I really can't get any decent pictures clicked.

This is Kona's dad, Jack.

Kona is visiting here.

He wasn't so crazy about all the pups coming at him in all directions but oh boy is he having fun with Ella. He always seems to be smittened with her. 

Oh he didn't do anything but he did freeze in place with the pups but when Ella came into his eyesight - oh boy. Waggy tail, kissy, nuzzle.

I just love Kona. 

It is still raining here and I don't have any gallery pics due to the wet and muck but I did manage to get everyone brushed out.

I guess it is better than snow or is it? 

White snow makes an excellent backdrop for photos unless it is wet snow and you get snowballs on them.

I love looking back at the pups when they were small. I hope you do too.

Please continue prayers for Jack. 

Brushed But Wet Now

They had a BLAST this morning, I had them all brushed and combed out and now they look like wet, muddy I had fun things. 

Also check out the videos for the pups later on where Cali and Pepi are playing with them. It's endearing.

Day is far from over so I suspect they will get messier and messier then sit and lay on our laps to watch tv. 

Logan and Panda are here and they staked claim on their spot in the tv room. Have to love it! 

Taking a Break

No update today except to say look at the Adele and Roxie blogs. Everyone is doing great. They played and played outdoors. Mabel dropped in for a play session. Seems some pups she loves, others she says you are okay. They do have the ones that catch their fancy.

Cali LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the puppies. It's a riot.

Tonight we are going to have TV time and well get draped in dogs. I hope that is okay. Stay tuned to the regular update tomorrow. 

Special note: Big hugs goes out to Kona's mom, and dad and Kona. Seems Jack is back in hospital and is very ill. Prayers, please.
