Happy Holidays

Finn's first Christmas experience with his humans!

Dear Nathan and Darlah!

Sending you best wishes for the Holiday Season from our family and from Lola.  All the best in the New Year!

Inga, Dave, Cassie, Sylvia and Lola

Hello Darlah and Nathan,

Thinking about you and all the Talemaker Havanese families.

Here is a photo of Kona's vist to see Santa this year.

I hope that you and your family enjoy the holidays.

So many families will be lucky enough to be bringing a new

puppy home. I so enjoyed seeing all of them develop through

your blogs and videos.

Kona and I will be heading to Florida on January 2nd if weather

permits. We hope to stay there until the middle of April.

Take care.

Hugs from Kathy & Kona.

Hi Darlah and Nathan

We wish you and the Talemaker family a wonderful 2020!  Emmy continues to bring us so much joy and laughter every day!  We love her to bits. She's attentive and so so sweet. She LOVES running in the snow, car rides, and learning new tricks. We took her to the Christmas Market and she met so many people who just wanted to say hi to her!

We received the Havanese calendars and they have been happily received by Ulrich's father and brother in Nuremberg, my parents in Vancouver, and my brother's family in San Diego.

Thank you!

Rosalie

Here is today's gallery.

I wanted to include this in the blog as Sue Edwards made it for us. It's a stunning piece. Sue is dealing with some serious health challenges. Wish she lived closer so we could help. My heart goes out to Sue and all those dealing with serious life blips.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I got to see Ronnie today - even if fleeting. Thank you for giving the pups their puppy fix and thank you for the presents. Looking forward to taking her to lunch soon.

Thank you also to Lynda for giving us a splurge of Chinese food. She is going through some serious health challenges herself. I am amazed at how she meets her challenges and still think of others. You are special.

I am so exhausted that we will have to do Chinese tomorrow. Today, I am barely staying awake.Dennis tells me he needs a shower so I am it with the pups again. LOL

Dorothy, the cookies - homemade - wow. Thank you. Where do you find the time. Plus Sherry confronting crazy Yorkdale to get me sweats I really wanted. Now she is kicking herself for not buying herself a pair or two. they are the softest.

For everyone in the Talemaker family - we wish you the very best for next year. May you create memories that make you laugh for years to come. I am so glad you have the desire and time to experience a havanese. It is what gets me by and you get me by too. Thank you!

Christmas Eve

Holiday Greetings from Ozzy!

We wish you the best Holidays ever! From our family to yours.

Ines, Carmen, Felix and Max.

Merry Christmas Darlah, Nathan and Family and Pippin’s friends at Talemaker.

Best Wishes for the New Year.

Karen, Ron and Pippin

Hi there,

So Finn slept from 10:30-7:30 am!!  He’s such a precious pup!  He’s doing amazing!  Getting a ton of love.

Our kids have completely raised to the challenge and are learning so much about him and training him already.  He will nip and jump but the minute we say no and walk away...he sits immediately because he just wants to be with us and please us.  He definitely loves being rewarded with treats which is great!!

He has a completely relaxed disposition.  He absolutely loves lying on his side and getting his belly rubbed....and there are no shortage of people in our house!

He hasn’t completely learned his name yet that’s probably because he has five people calling him “Finn, finzie, finnley, finnee!”  Hahaha!!  But he is super smart and will figure it out.

We are absolutely in love and thank you thank you !  We can’t say enough that you did all the work.  We think you already have your next customer....a friend has plans to get a puppy in the next year and she is already sold on a Havanese and Talemakers!!

Have a happy holiday season!!!

Marlon, Nicole, Sydney, Hudson, Davis and Finn!

From our house to yours - have a very happy holiday!

Abby is my sweet girl! Love her to pieces! โค๏ธ Hugs to mama Jeannie!

Holiday Greetings from our crew, Pixie and Leo.

They only get the 'hat torture' once a year, the rest of the time all LOVE!

Dorothy, Tom, Pixie and Leo

Hi Darlah and Nathan:

Just a quick email to wish you and your family the best over the holiday season.

It has been fun to watch the latest litters of puppies grow and develop under your kind and generous care.  Your compassionate and gentle influence on our dogs remains with them throughout their lives. I feel blessed to have the privilege of having a Talemakers' girl in my life - Moxie brings us smiles, joy and laughter every day.  We love her so.

I have attached her recent holiday pictures for you.  She has grown into such a wonderful girl - still working on agility and tricks classes with her.  In fact, we have her expert trick certificate (which will be recognized by the CKC beginning in January) and will be working on her championship level in the new year.  She is so smart - much smarter than me!

Keep well, and we look forward to seeing you soon.  All the best,

MaryLou and Moxie

More Later

Also, only if you are up to it, read Ella's blog.

We also want to recognize two dear friends that are dealing with cancer. One day at a time. It is a clear reminder that we must make each day precious. May they be able to put their concerns aside during this holiday season and find laughter.

We also want to recognize those that have lost family members. We understand this grief all too well. Each is unique. Finding ones coping skills can feel daunting but indulge, please. A good book, a movie - anything to find some enjoyment and don't feel guilty if you manage to find it.

We feel so for all those going through difficult times this holiday season. It is not easy for everyone.

We do dogs. We don't have time for celebrations (do miss it) other than making the dogs have the most fabulous time. A part of me is deeply sad that we are not surrounded by human family but they are all over the place from BC, Las Vegas, North Carolina, Portland etc.

Life is well life and creating memories with what you have is important.

Ash, Grey, Ollie and LexiDogs had great fun today. Ash and Grey, the schnauzers are here overnight. It is great exposure for the havanese. If a dog has not had any exposure - we fear what we do not know - they tend to worry about the bigger ones. We are lucky as we have the schnauzers and Jesse the collie who visits. Plus we have Inula. It's all positive.

Holiday Cheer and More

Happy Holidays from Deer Lake, Newfoundland.. I was a real trooper on the plane ride here; no issues whatsoever except I wasn’t super sure about takeoffs and landings!  Been sniffing out reindeer tracks in the snow every day so far!

Now I am exhausted!

Hi Darlah and Nathan

Let the Celebrations Begin

It's been a crazy busy day. We had 2 pups going home, a tremendous amount of grooming before the holiday.

Here is the gallery.

A number are departing tomorrow and more coming. Ziggy's expression is so funny in this photo.

Tomorrow we have 2 more pups departing then we do not have any departures till the 26th.

Play is rather crazy, silly and I so love it! Bed time is fun. I don't need blankets. I have dogs.

My brother and sister-in-law dropped off their 2 dogs, Chicklet and Corey. They arrived when we had a puppy departing so we didn't get time to visit but will when they return for pickup. They came bearing egg rolls from Ottawa - yum! What did we have for Linner? (lunch - dinner) - you guessed it!

Till tomorrow and more fun busy-ness.

Tomorrow I will start adding more than 1 holiday photo as I suddenly gor a few in so be sure to scroll down on tomorrow's update!

The dogs had a ton of fun today. Check out the gallery. I brushed out Ollie and he looked like he put his paw in a socket 3 minutes later. That play.... They are all doing it!

Snowy Day

It was a cold but snowy day. As you will see the Maltese had a sweater on and could only stay out for a few minutes.

We have such a fun bunch. This is our busiest time of the year. It's a fun time filled with dogs, pups and well snow.

Here is the gallery.

Dennis too a slew of photos. Nathan took but 1 video and some photos of the pups. I was grooming my hands off so photos was not in my ability.

Trying to get things done for pups departing. It's a crazy house but a fun one. LOL The best part is the dogs are having a total blast!

Holiday Photos and Play Fun

This is Coco and Doozie. This is the time of year if you send us holiday photos, we will post.

We had a dusting of snow. The dogs played in and out and truly enjoyed their time. The puppies did too.

Bria, Ollie and Leo arrived. All are having fun in a huge way. Teddy and Pablo departed and they will be missed. The busy but fun season has begun. People ask what do you do for the holidays? I say - dogs.  Hoping to fit in some take out food or maybe I will cook. It's a hard thing to do as we actually cook holiday treats etc for the dogs. That dehydrater and oven is going.

Here is the gallery.

I do miss the family at this time and the celebrations that usually go with it but our kids are mostly everywhere and well work, dogs and really mom you are doing dogs...we know who is loved. I do love them too but I come with dogs - a reality! There is such a shortage of places of dog boarding at this time of the year and besides here they live at home, snuggled up to us in bed, playing games, doing runs and then there is tv time where my legs go numb with the dogs laying all over me. It is a special time of year.

Hopefully we will fit in good food and create memories. I hope the rest of you have an amazing holiday season!

Out Today

Without me, the dogs would have dreads. Every now and then Nathan picks up a brush but its me and Today was a no grooming day other than teh pupy departing tomorrow. Tomorrow I get to play catch up. Lucky me but oh boy I will feel better.

Here is the gallery.

The dryer is fixed. It was half the price of the most expensive Samsung Dryer. Really? Next time we must get a new one as this is the lemon of the year. But it now sounds and dries like new steam and all.

Sherry and I went out to Vaughan Mills and it was actually quiet. It is almost Chanukah and Christmas and well I never saw it so quiet considering its close. I suspect it will pick up. I swear it is Amazon and easy this year for many. We also went to Fortinos and got some yum Parmesan and asiago cheese crisps. It's the small indulgence that gets you by.

As you know, the puppy selection has been beyond stress-filled. I thought I needed a vat of gin. But today letters went out and now we need the pertinent info and pickup date. First goes home tomorrow. Check out the Cinnamon blog to see who.

I am told the dogs had a blast without me. They were sure happy with my return. Rusty and Murphy departed. Luna, Frosty and Coco the Maltese arrived for the winter holiday.

Dennis is now running his body with the dogs. They so love their runs with him. Its icy outdoors so these runs really help them expel energy and plain have fun. Thank you, Nathan and Dennis. You are the best!

Thank you truly to Ruth and Katie for a lovely gift for the holidays. Also thanks to Frosty's mom and Jake, Lana and family. We do not do anything during the holidays as it is our busiest time of the year. Throw in pups departing and ... well we love the dogs and enjoy it. So, these surprises are quite special. Not necessary but indeed appreciated!

Oh boy holiday season has begun for us. Hope all of you have an amazing one!

Very Short Blogs

This is Murphy gal. I so love her! You get extra attached to the ones that come often. We love them all though.

Hardly any photos today.

I am dealing with all the things one must do before pups get picked up. As we are still struggling with this puppy selection, I am totally stressed out.

So, bear with us. A solution must be found. The goal is the right puppy for the right family.

Bonham and Tuffy arrived - thank you truly for the gifts!! Both did really well right after you left. They are going to have fun!!

Dryer gets looked at tonight between 6-8pm.

Two Updates Today

Teddy Chilling

It's been a cold day today - busy but fun. Many of the dogs got to play with the pups - especially birthday boy Charlie who thinks they are the best thing since - well what have you. Some chose to not have 14 pups chasing them. I get that. You will see those on one of the puppy blogs.

Here is the gallery.

Be sure to check out the blog below as there is a birthday selection of photos - how wonderful!

My blogs have to be semi short. I am having to get bags and paper stuff ready for pups going home. The 1st is to depart on Wednesday - yikes. LOL

Our dryer also died and that is getting fixed tomorrow. I am so tired of house repairs. I also missed Leo and Pixie's mom as I had to run a few errands. Thanks again for the use of the space heater. I wish I got back in time. The son said I missed you by 5 minutes.

We have a really great cohesive group here at the moment. Brewer departs tomorrow and Tuffy and Bonham comes. It's going to be fun!

Happy 1st Birthday

Happy birthday to our precious little boy. You have brought so much love to our family and made our home complete.

Thanks to Nathan, Darlah and Raven for this special boy.

Happy birthday to Charlie’s siblings Willow, Sully, Gucci and Dee Dee.

Sue & Bruce

Hi Nathan and Darlah

It’s DeeDee’s special day and we will be going with her and Beau to the store soon to pick out treats and a new toy to celebrate her special day.

Checked out all the new puppies - there are going to be so many happy families.

Thanks again for Beau and DeeDee - they bring so much joy to our life

Chasing Squirrels

It was either snowing, sleeting or raining.

Here is the gallery.

The squirrels were out and the dogs love to either chase or bark at them. It was interesting in this weather that they were out.

Dennis is upstairs now running with them and soon it will be tv time. May the weather be good tomorrow so we can get pups out too.

Short Blogging It Today

Everyone has been playing. I am out with the daughter, grandkids and son-in-law tonight so I am rushing.

Here is the gallery.

Everyone has been having great fun. We had a large rabbit run by in the backyard while the dogs were out. Some tails down - what is that. Some in hot pursuit and some just watching. It was a riot to watch.

Who Is It?

Coco the maltese is in the house and boy did she have fun. You will even see it in some of the puppy videos. Link will be on the Leti blog.

Here is the gallery.

I groomed for 10 hours today so blogs will be short.

A number departed today. Nathan took a nap. I think I need one. LOL

Dogs have found their tv room spot when they are in there and many are pretty consistent on what spot they want. They are creatures of habit. We have had a tremendous amount of dog play. Some caught, some not. It all depends on when you have the camera in hand.

Two Posts Tonight

Rusty, Tchibo and Nathan

Everyone gets hugs many times a day. Nathan was in the tv room and I clicked this photo.

Here is the gallery.

We went to Sam's funeral today. The speeches - mentioning Rusty time and time again.... He was a special guy and Ronnie is too. Her kids - as special as they are or were.

Dogs had a blast. We have a puppy visit tonight. Not up for it but when I see the pups playing, I will be.

That's what dogs bring you - smiles - if you allow.

We have a celebration of 1 year olds. See below.

Happy ONE Year

Hi Darlah

Can’t believe Ollie and the boys are 1 one today! Please give Stormy a big kiss for me! You will never know the sheer love and joy Ollie has brought to our home. We love him with all of our hearts and he has literally completed us. His love knows no bounds and I have never seen a more loving human like dog in my life.  Crumps Naturals sent him a huge birthday box of treats including his fav sweet potato!

Thank you!!

Xo

Rochelle

Hi Darlah & Nathan,

Sending you a combination pic of Meelo with his Christmas sweater on his 1st Birthday.

He is the sweetest little dog and definitely has a larger than life personality.

He loves to play with any type of squeaky toy and in particular loves to chase things.

Most evenings he can be found snoozing on either myself or my husband while we watch TV.

Just want to say thanks to you both for breeding the best Havanese ever!!!

Take care and wish you all the best in the coming New Year ๐ŸŽ‰

Heat Is On

Our heat is fixed. Sky laid on a heat register and blocked the heat from that room. I laughed. Was she trying to tell me something?

Check out the gallery.

The dogs look like the cat dragged them in and had a field day with them. I did comb all but they are playing like crazy. Play equals a mess again.

We visited Rusty and his family today. Rusty is now here. Traffic was horrid but so had we went. Sometimes you must make time for things that are important.

I am really tired today. It's emotional and physical but the pups werte really great. See their blogs.

I think when I sit in the recliner and get draped by dogs, I may start snoring - not intentionally but I am in that tired zone.

Blogs may be short tomorrow. We have a funeral to attend, groomings to do and a puppy visit with someone that can't come on Saturday. I hope I am awake by then and the pups are not sore.

Having heat is wonderful and the dogs think so too.

Enjoy your evening!

You Coming

It is pouring today so no great play sessions outside. We are playing inside but here is a very small gallery.

Tomorrow is a vet visit so small gallery tomorrow too. Sorry. I was going to wash a few of my own dogs and decided that would be a fruitless undertaken. They would just look unwashed in moments. So - later...

Dennis runs around with the dogs up and down the halls much like Nathan does with the pups. It expels energy. It gets them having fun. It's a grand amount of fun.

We work around weather. LOL

UPDATE: Finally heater guy is here. He says 20 minutes. Oh to have heat after so many days...
