Play Mid Week

The dogs had fun playing today. They really had a complete blast. Perfect weather! Even though the forecast was for 30% rain, it didn't happen. It did get windy.

I am tired. We had the police here after 11pm. It seems election night Jon's company car was broken into and his backpack stolen in our driveway. He had just finished a project and hadn't backed it up yet and voila his laptop is gone. We got a knock on the door and a ringing of the bell. The dogs were not happy and I was yelling get the door. It was not pretty. They found his backpack minus the laptop. Needless to say we are all tired.

Willow and Rocky was here for baths and play. They had a blast. Bria departed. Marco arrived and Barney comes tonight.

Good news with Lynda - some sign of great progress cancer wise. We are happy!

No Gallery Day

This is Amy - Saffron's sister. She was playing with me. This is her semi playbow. Murphy is Saffron's sister.

This is Marcie, Saffron's baby. I laid on the floor to play with her and this is the look she gave me. I had to laugh.

It's been rainy today so photos were - well they are a mess so I spent more time cleaning and no time taking photos. Sorry - it happens. We will play catch up tomorrow though I am now playing grooming catchup with everyone so balancing the blogs etc - well sometimes I need a no gallery day but I suspect for those that have dogs here, that's not fun for you. So - apologies.

Everyone is thoroughly enjoying themselves maybe too much so as they are getting into the grunge look.

Thank you goes to Patt, Sadie and Marlee's mom for a cute blanket for the pups. Most appreciated!

What a Day

For a fall day, it is prett spectacular. The leaves are falling - well not fun doing that cleanup. The weather is not cold, not hot. The dogs feel invigorated. The play is wonderful!

A number of dogs departed today, more tomorrow. We will have a lull in November before the holiday.

The dogs were really excited I was back in bed all night. Now that feels good. I am still tired but getting there. If I could stop looking at the ipad at 3am just to check. LOL

Tomorrow we start painting the pool shack. Slow progress but at least before the snow falls.

All these photos were taken before grooming. I am actually doing a dog here and there. I am tired but I may be done by bedtime. I sorely need to play recovery but 3 have to be washed when Nathan gets up and cut as they are departing. I cancelled all scheduled groomings that were not boarding here. In a few days I will be human again!

We are making progress on the pool house. Tuesday - if no rain, painting will begin. 

I so wish I could take a nap. But can't. Got groomings. LOL

Having a Fun Saturday

Raven's temps have dropped. So this is a short blog. I do believe the dogs love the cooler weather. Me, not so much. When they are happy, I am happy!

Making Progress

Still a work in progress but making headway. The pool house itself will be painted a Cape Cod Gray. The roof is metal.

Roof and Play

We like to bark at the handyman doing our roof. Dennis is helping him. Nathan is helping him. I am not. I have done enough projects. Mabel just watches. Sky barks her fool head off with Inula. So, even though they like being inside, each time they do - inside they go.

We did not get the garage done. Oh well. Nathan can brush the snow off and melt the ice.

Ollie visited today and he is a true play monkey. It is a delight! Pippin also got into the play in the kitchen. Outside, they run and play and watch. It is truly nice!

Not Much Today

Like to have more photos but I do not. I have a few but I will add it to tomorrow's gallery. As you can see the pool shack is getting a new roof. It will be stained a grey when it is done.

We had our vet here. We had checkups and new meds for Kat. Plus we had an ultrasound for Raven.

Dennis was up most of the day so he is off to bed soon till 10. This means I have to do all the things he usually does - dishes, pads, floors and all the fun stuff we do daily.

The pool shack is a progress in action.

The vet asked if Cinnamon was available after this litter. LOL She just LOVES, LOVES LOVES her waggy tail, body swaying happiness.

The dogs had fun chasing squirrels. It is a gloomy day. We still have to find someone to fix the eaves troughs before the white stuff.

Can you imagine puppies in snow? Watch, it won't snow till after they depart. LOL

Play Indoors

They play. They rest. They play, they rest. Sometimes its just fun watching.

It's more difficult taking action shots when indoors especially when you have the wrong lens on but who has time to change lenses? They will simply stop playing then. LOL

Looking for a floor lamp - used or not. It's for this room with the pups. Mine just zapped. It had a spark come out, make a sound and its black. Changing another bulb, same thing. I think it is time to put it to rest. Every 25 years or so... hahahaha

No Gallery Day Today

Jessie and Murphy are back. We are still playing recovery. Sadie thought a martian came into the room when Jessie arrived. She has now adjusted.

Sky also reacted once Sadie did. This big dog socialization is important when its to a big dog like Jessie.

We will try to get a gallery done tomorrow.

No Gallery Day

I think we earned it. Everyone is having a blast. pups are doing well. We are tired. I even managed to cook a turkey - miracle that it came out good.

Till tomorrow after rest - 10pm please come. Dennis sleeping now.

Short Blog

Turkey defrosting now in fridge. Can't possibly prepare or cook it and besides it is still frozen mostly. LOL

Dogs have been playing like crazy. We are on puppy watch.

Cooling Off

They had a lot of running sessions out back. one would think they were tuckered out. They take 5 minute naps and they are back at it. I think they are afraid of missing out on the fun.

I am in wait for Leti. She doesn't eat all day and then she does. She nests and then she doesn't. i so hope whatever day it is, it is not Tuesday as that is when the pool house is getting a new roof and Dennis is not available. My luck it will be Tuesday.

We have a fun crew here as this is Thanksgiving weekend. Barney and Lola depart tomorrow. Tchibo and Bria arrive.

Two Updates Today

Let me first thank Sherry for some yum food she brought. To be honest, I would not have eaten as its just been too hectic. Again, thank you. It gets crazy with pups, impending births etc. Leti's temp dropped to 98.2 but didn't go any further. I have not checked it again - yeah that busy-ness occurred.

Got more of a plan in place for Raven. See her blog. I also posted her xray. I also combed out everyone though some like Stormy do not look like it. Maybe some photos will reflect that I did. Then again, maybe not.

Pool house gets done on Tuesday or at least started. Not sure how I will do without Dennis but he needs to haul things away etc to keep costs down. Not perfect time but it is what it is.

I felt overwhelmed as I had so much grooming to do playing catch up. Last night I had a dream that nathan would do it for me. Someone said that now you can rest between. Nah... Am glad the puppy stuff is organized.

3 days ago I bought a pumpkin pie. Do you know it expires today? Best eat it before I can't. LOL

The dogs - well they are having a blast. Nathan got his nap in. I just finished grooming and clicking photos - now blogging and then there is that pumpkin pie.

The dogs are great. As you can see above, Sky was smiling when playing. Now that is what it is about!

Happy 5th Birthday

Hi, there.  

I’m sure you are both exhausted with the birth of Cinnamon’s pups (they’re beautiful, of course!).

Just want to send you a picture of my pretty girl Clarity on her birthday! And a big shout out to all her siblings.

Even though she had a bath yesterday, I should have given her a good brushing before I took her picture.  And yes, I know, she has a lopsided and choppy hair cut thanks to my lack of skill - if I tried to even it out, she would end up with no hair left as I can never get the cut even LOL.  - she’s beautiful no matter what and the hair will grow :)

Playing Catch Up

The pool cover is on and the dogs are having fun either playing on it or lazing on it.

A visiting dog has chewed on my door twice. I need to paint it yet again. After it is dry tomorrow (have to do it late again tonight) I will spray it so this dog won't chew.

Little by little I am getting dogs combed out. Raven goes to the vet this evening - well 4pm. 

After that Dennis will go to sleep and he will do the night shift. I will play catch-up after this all nighter and get ready for Leti. LOL

The weather has been so nice seeing we are in Fall weather. 

Cinnamon has been amazing - truly!

Nathan will be getting up soon to make his way with Raven. Wish I could go too. 

I am hungry but no energy to cook. 

Dennis played games and ran with them. I guess he slept all night so he had more energy than us. I am glad!

Everyone is having fun but wow I feel like I need another nap but I won't till 930-10 tonight.

I have been rushing doing groomings. I find it is too much stress to juggle and not be sure when. Today is one of those days. Cinnamon threw up bile which sometimes happens in stage 1. She's not eating. That usually happens. Her temps went down to 98.3 and back up. That's not a true drop. Now she is napping with Nathan.

I am usually calm, cool and collected but doing groomings when I may be having pups - not fun. I get clammy and feel anxiety. It is a crazy process. I even washed and cut a dog going home tomorrow just now as I am not sure if I can tomorrow. It is a balancing experiencing. Nathan is lucky as he doesn't have this extra juggling. I do.

Teddy, Charlie and Elvis departing soon. Its a sunny day. The dogs have been playing non stop. Zoe and Noah arrived and went wow we have a couch to ourselves. They were very happy with the additional room attached to the tv room. They were very happy to arrive too. :-)

Little Zoe has been enjoying sitting up next to Dennis at the kitchen table. She has been out playing but mostly with Zoe and Misty.

So far no pups soon but we will see how things progress. If I am going to go crazy - you can join me. hahahahaha

Busy Day

Dogs are running around like crazy. Dennis is cutting all my roses and shrubs that lean up against the roof of the pool house. Will they come back or not? They have to go either way. Sometimes it is good to start anew.

The dogs thought all these cut branches was hysterical. I am so glad they had fun running around with them while Dennis wondered how much extra work he has in store for him due to their antics.

We still have a camera to set up in the pen so we can video and take photos etc.

The screen didn't get done but maybe tomorrow. The garage is not getting done either. Can't work yourself to death and then stay awake for pups. Please if you booked grooming, I may have to reschedule so send mail, ask or read the blog. It will depend on how fast things are going or if they are going as to what I can and can't do.

I hope I get my groomings done tomorrow. Raven's xray is the 10th. Nathan may be going alone. If we are neck deep in pups coming, we will change the appt.
