Getting Proactive

I have a lot on my plate. Tomorrow I have 6 pups to wash. So, I need to be well.

Cooper is coming (so excited) and I am under the weather so I am going to lay down and get some rest so I can be all I can be tomorrow. Then we have Rowan pups going home starting on Friday and a vet visit on Thursday.

Everyone is having a blast. Steven and My's trio joined us today. It's truly a fun house! Mickey is playing his heart out!

I just have to get well.

Forgive me for such a non-blog today though Levon and Trugger are adorable and PS: Levon likes me best. heh

Raining Outdoors

Teddy loves the recliner in the tv room. If you are in it he will jump in your lap. If you aren't in it he asks to be put in it. It's his fave place.

Levon and Trigger arrived and Trigger just LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the Ella. They were so excited to be here. 

Brewer who came for the day was not crazy about the rain but he wasn't the only one.

Going to make this blog short as I want to finish brushing the dogs out. They keep getting a mangy mess in this weather outdoors. I almost want to say will you snow instead but that wouldn't be nice. heh It would be less work for me though.

Wonder if the dogs will be amused or bored with the presidential debates tonight. We will find out.

Quiet Times

Oh Mabel what a beauty you are looking so regal looking and then when Mommy comes you roll all over to look your splendid self.

Moxie and Winston was playing up a storm today. They had a blast. Here's the gallery.

Everyone has departed except for Teddy who arrived today. It will be a quiet night when it is tv time.

Tomorrow I start washing my dogs. Everyone is out of heat (celebrating). I do believe Adele and Jeannie are pregnant. Time will tell.

I guess it is time to close the pool. For shame and bring in plants - oh my.

Oh Velvet

Tomorrow Velvet and Mabel depart and they get to have a bath. Moxie also departs. Tomorrow will be extra busy as we have puppy potential people visiting. 

This slacker had fun at St. Jacobs. Now to play catch up of course!

Short Blog

Sparky after bathShort blog today. Just text tomorrow. What a slacker I am. I am not sure about putting my summer clothes away. It's yet another thing on the to do list. The pool has to be closed. I think the fridge and dryer is going. Plants have to come indoors or die a silent death. I haven't decided. We shall see.

Sparky and Mia is here for the day. Moxie, Murphy, Velvet and Mabel here till Sunday. On Sunday we will try the Saffron pups on food. I am hoping to get some yummy pastries for Nathan while in St. Jacobs. We are bringing a cooler just in case. I hope Nathan survives and I don't have a ton to do Sunday. We shall see. heh

Soon we will get to see the Cooper again. We are so excited and I bet he will be excited too. It's been awhile. 

Dogs have been barking today at screams outside. We thought something was terribly hurt but it was 2 squirrels fighting. Oh my. The dogs were not happy.

It's a No Blog Day

Sorry with the vets not much clicking occurred except with pups. 

Ozzie departed. <sigh> Tomorrow Rafi gets a bath and departs. Monday I start in doing a marathon on my own - baths etc. Saffron's pups will be 4 weeks old. hoping to try them out next week. Saturday I go to St. Jacobs and get some rejuvenation but unfortunately I will miss the puppy get together Saturday. Judy will be here so hoping she takes photos.

Long Day, Short Blog

Not much to update except that Alvin departed. Ozzie, Rafi, Velvet and Mabel are happy to see Nathan. He's the nap guy in the afternoon and just like cats Nathan and the dogs love their afternoon nap after playing. 

Is this still summer? Weather is gorgeous. I had Emmy's pups in the pool. The moms rather enjoy the outdoor hang outs after Saffron has fed. The Emmy and Rowan pups try to sneak drinks but they are mostly done.

Orchids are only $20 at Loblaws and there are gorgeous ones. They will reflower in the winter so it's a perfect time to buy!

It's that time that we are thinking about closing the pool. Not me - Nathan of course. Last year we were closed in September. I am hoping we make it to October. We have the vets with Rowan's pups tomorrow so maybe I can sneak in a fast swim before we depart. I will so miss it! They say warm weather till Friday. That means Thursday a swim.

By the weekend they say fall weather will be here. I hope they are wrong!

It's been a busy but fun day. I so need to wash my own dogs. Next week I begin. :-)

Just a Few

Sorry, I am trying to play catch-up with the hubby so this blog will be short. I clicked a lot of photos and well I formatted the stick. When you are tired you do silly things. I am upset as I had some truly outstanding shots. Isn't this always the way? Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

Nathan is back. We are going to get tv time. He's playing mail catch up. I am doing blogs. 

Saturday I am going to have strictly text updates all across the board. Why? The daughter is taking me to St. Jacobs and I am going. So for a full day it's Nathan and Dennis holding down the fort and I get a break. I think I deserve it. heh

Warmer Day

Yes, it was warmer. I woke up all congested, stuffed head and decided to go into the pool anyways. My excuse was I had to direct the pool cleaner as the lining needed cleaning. I actually didn't swim. I just pulled the cleaner here and there. 

I got almost everyone brushed out today despite being under the weather. We managed to get our gazebo light up but can't let it charge till we have 12 hours of light so tomorrow. 

Tomorrow the daughter is at work and Dennis is sleeping so its just me and the dogs till Nathan gets home early evening. I hope its before feeding the dogs so I can have a break. Come Tuesday I have a full grooming schedule including Rowan's pups and on Wednesday they go to the vets. It will be fun to compare vets as we are heading to Judy's vet. 

We played a mean game of retreive. I cooked a steak and every dog got a treat. Now every time I even remotely go to cut meat on the counter I have a close encountered audience. Bad me... but every now and then they deserve what the moms are getting. :-) Well, I think so.

2 Updates Today: 2 Years Old

We resume to our normal updates but it rained all day so I didn't click any photos. I have just been cleaning all day. But we have a great replacement. 

Rusty is waiting to get into his treats but is letting us take a picture to send to his siblings.  Wishing Roxie, Teddy, Tiny and the others a very Happy Second Birthday.

Congrats Tracy and Secret

This puppy is Cinnamon's sister who went up to Paula's house. Tracy showed her today and got Best Baby Puppy in Show. Bravo, little one and Bravo Tracy! Congrats to Paula!

Fun and Well More Fun

Ozzie arrived today and said oh my are we having fun or what! Never got in the pool. I have a funny feeling that is a daily thing but we keep trying - well I keep trying!

We have a real fun group here. But if I am ever going to get tv time with the dogs, I have to make the blogs shorter. hahahaha 

Today they had roast chicken for dinner mixed in with their food. Later on they all had a bit of roast. 

Don't tell Nathan but they will love me more than him when he gets home. (yeah I am teasing)

Nice and Cool - er

Yes, it's a bit cooler. We are still hoping for a swim tomorrow. We shall see. I did get to play crazy with the dogs outdoors. I also got to play outdoors with the pups. It's been a crazy busy day. Will hate missing the last class with Cinnamon but it's not doable without Nathan so I wish everyone a great and fun time!

Kitchen Play

Sorry, I didn't take these photos. I groomed Tiny and then cooked a prime rib roast and defrosted a standup freezer. The freezer was a lot of work. Tomorrow Nathan departs and I comb everyone out while waiting for Dennis to wake up. 

How was the roast? I make an excellent roast and I mean excellent - hahahahahahahaha 

I got 3 loads of laundry just from the towels soaking up the water that drained from the ice in the freezer. The dogs thought this was grand fun. Don't ask. But slip sliding away was the game they tried.

Sorry I do not have any videos or photos but Rafi arrived. We missed him. Murphy (boy) is here for over night. I will miss the last class tomorrow but my heart is there. Hope everyone has a blast!

Still have to cut the cedars so we can screw down the gazebos. Why does it take me so many days just to get one thing done? Maybe I will do it now while Nathan packs for his trip. Oh yeah almost time for Saffron to feed and weigh pups. See how distracted one can get?

Break Today

It was 35c in my office with the pups. Oh my gad. Our air was not working since last night. Not sure it is working yet but it is cooler. So, I am going outside and soaking my feet. It's cooler outside. 

Hoping the air lasts and if not - cooler times? No one was happy. Saffron's pups were fussing due to heat but the other pups headed outside a ton and were just fine.

Thanks goes to Sherry for giving me back the cooling mat. I will need it tonight. How did you know?

Nathan departs Thursday morning. I go on strike Tuesday? Oh please - a hotel room with room service. hahahaha Fat chance but I was dreaming of an entire day of not working from early morning to bedtime. Nathan has 4.5 days of that. Lucky him! To be honest I am happy he has it! Just wish I did or I wish Dennis was done with up all night. Oh well.

Oh My Gad

I so need calmer days. With people coming, I was alone in the house feeding pups, juggling trying to finish blogs, galleries and videos. Here it is 9pm and it is almost bedtime. Yikes!

We managed to have fun but I so need calmer. I think doing the nails all in one day was an added time sucker but it was so fun to see them react. I do so need 36 hour days.

1 more hour to bedtime and cuddles.

3 more days till Nathan is gone. Maybe I can talk kids into getting takeout food so I can not have to cook. Lynda, does Asian Legend deliver?

When Nathan gets back we have Rowan's crew getting a bath and vets. Then a week later the Emmy pups. Oh boy. Busy times! 

Very Late

Sorry, I am late as I had 8 dogs to do for others on my day off. I am going to change my day off to Monday or Tuesday. It just makes more sense despite the fact that I would like to do things on the weekend sometimes too. I started at 8am and finished at 730pm. I have a full day of grooming tomorrow. Hoping its warm on Tuesday so I can swim. We shall see.

If anyone is going to class, if you can get 4 bags of treats, I will buy them from you. As you know I can't go but they are the only ones who sell the Merrick Treats in that form. Let me know, please.

We have had rain and the gazebo has held up. Still have to cut the cedars back and put it in position and screw it to the deck but we have time for that.

We had a wonderful selection of dogs today that departed from Levon and Trigger, Elvis, Elvis' brother Barney and Moxie. Tomorrow the house empties out and that's why tomorrow is busy grooming wise. 

Tomorrow we also have some more puppy potential families for the Rowan and Emmy pups. It is a perfect time to get a pup as it's after summer holidays and before winter holidays. 

Those of you on our list, expect Nathan to ask you about the Saffron puppies. We usually wait a couple of weeks before contacting you. We did breed Adele and Jeannie for debut in a couple of months. Can't wait till the heats are over. We pray Inula doesn't come in. We may be spaying her as we are not planning on breeding tibetan terriers.

Magic came for a spa day for her birthday and then headed off to night time celebrations. 

Happy Birthday to Magic, Tangles, Finn and Joey. How did 4 years go by so fast?

Normalcy

Leti is thrilled to have 1 of her babies here - us too. Elvis is having a great time but he plays so hard I am constantly putting his hair up. heh

Levon and Trigger stopped in and oh my thet are delish fun!

We are back to normal. My friend departed yesterday. She was sick so we just swam a bit and ate well. :-)

Nathan is off on a fishing trip with the guys next week and so far I have 5 gals in heat. Oh boy plus pups. When he gets back I may go out on strike for a day.

The gazebo still needs to be tightened up but its up and being used.

Here is today's gallery. Not much as I am still juggling as I want my dogs clean before Nathan goes away and that means my usual plus those scheduled for others. So, although I said normalcy, I am still late on the blogs. Sorry about that.

Saffron's pups are still sleeping 2 plus hours - sometimes more. They fed at 6pm and they are still sleeping. The larger they get the more they will sleep. 

It's past tv time - oh well. Can't watch anything substantial as its too late. But the dogs are sitting with Nathan and he is watching. 

We have a 9 year old rescue coming in. As I have my hands full Zoe (the rescue) will go up to Sudbury on Sunday. The dog resides in Toronto. Makes me sad when we get a rescue in but happy when we find them a home.
