Now off to watch tv and snuggle with the dogs. We have a busy weekend so I need a breather before it gets too busy! Abs best hold out.

The Cooper came for a visit and now he is home playing catch-up on his sleep, I am sure. He also got to see the pups but more of that on Fiona's blog.
As you didn't see Truffie for quite sometime, I figured I would put up some photos of him. His hair was snatched off by a visitor so we are in growing back stage and I refuse to trim it till it's long enough so it's rather messy. This way I can shape it properly when it is fully grown out. Head hair grows back the slowest of all hair. I am not sure why but it is true so if you cut the bangs short expect a slow motion growth spurt.
I tried to get a photo of Truffie but it was an experience as it always is except when you catch him doing something other than posing. Here Cooper, Doozie and Coco are wondering why he's standing on the pad. I think Truffie is smart enough to make sure I never get a POSED photo of him. :-)
I did brush him but he is a man who likes to roll after getting brushed out.
Here are a few more of him. As I said, he's seen better days but the coat on the head is coming back. The tail and the body hair has never been an issue.
Truffie is a character - a lovable one at that!
Nathan caught him with devil eyes - red eyes of course. His eyes are brown actually.
Then he said he would try to stack him - yeah still has to have a tongue out. But he's cute never the less but hey I am biased.
Truffie has a lot of white in his brown areas of his coat so he looks lighter than darker depending on the lighting etc. He is in his lighter than usual stage look but he will go darker again. His coat does that. He has a number of colours through his coat and in the summer he turns a reddish brown. He is a chocolate.
Truffie is a laid back boy who is quite funny. When he is going to mate he looks at you as if to say - can I please - can I?
His fave place is sleeping under an ottoman in the TV room. He barely fits but it suits him just fine. He also swims, is an excellent retriever and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES toys. I can have treats in my hand with a pile of dogs and he will sit back, wait his turn as he knows he will have a turn. I rather enjoy his personality. But his head hair - well it needs to grow back. :-) It' s getting there. At least it's not sticking straight up like it used to and I can now put it in a rubber band. That's progress.
Truffie and Cooper were playing wonderful earlier today and I say earlier - like 6am. hehe
Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 4:49PM Had a few baths. It's raining. Got to play with dogs and not let only Dennis and Nathan have all the fun and me all the work so a short update today.
Miss Molly, Nora and Shady was here for a bath. Cooper dropped in for fun, fun fun and he hasn't stopped. I need to click him in action but here is a few that had their baths today.
May not update till tomorrow. Need some dog time and well the tummy is not cooperating today.
Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 6:51PM Sorry not many photos of many dogs as we realized we had a family of raccoons living in our yard displaced from our neighbors house a few days ago - thank you very much.
Here are the photo of the kits as they call them about 2 weeks old sitting in a bucket on a heating pad as we are big sucks. But its not a good place and hope Mom realizes this as there is no protection from rain etc.
They are cute little buggers. At this age just like pups they can't see or walk.
Before we realized this was an issue (Dennis found them as we were putting out pool stuff and furniture and he heard them) I took a couple of photos and then we have had to play inside waiting for a humane wildlife guy to give us tips on how to handle it. This the bucket, the heating pad and we are now hoping that mom moves on to a better place.
Now on to the dawg photos.
One would think all that I captured was Ziggy and Scruffy but that was almost it and then we realized we had to come inside and we got too busy playing silly games inside. Sorry about that.

It's all about having fun and that is the operative word. Run, play, run, play and crash out and cuddle and watch tv. It's all we are doing in-between getting each of the dogs combed out.
Thi sis a no photo day. The hand is well has its limitations. Nathan is also brushing but I look around and they aren't brushed like I do but he is trying and I do love him. It helps that I am just finishing and finding what he doesn't. :-) It's all good but look for more photos tomorrow - not today. Forgive me - need to play recovery.

Hand hurts, heart hurts - not up to this today but all I can say is Nathan needs to start grooming MY DOGS as my dogs need grooming. Cause if I groom them with this hand they will be all MINE. hahahahaha
Dogs are doing great. We are just about to watch Idol on the tv with with laying all over us. I need it. You should try it. It truly makes you feel better.

Sorry, I am so behind. Here are photos Dennis took today as its hard for me to click. He didn't get everyone - sorry. He thought I wanted him to focus on the pups visiting. I would have liked him getting Ringo and Pavvie jumping like maniacs on the couches back and forth after each other but he didn't. He didn't get much of the adults at all despite them having a ton if fun. But he is just learning how to capture and even though he couldn't figure out zoom at first and some are far away, I think he did a pretty decent job.

My hand is killing me so I am done - sorry about that!

It was totally warm today - rain and cold coming tomorrow. I found as I clicked the camera (Nathan was away at a meeting) it hurt so no update with photos today. Just know my limitations. I am hoping tomorrow is better. But we had fun and enjoyed the outside. I am going back out to watch them play.
Just give me a couple of days so I recover. I did have the pups out too but only got a few photos of that too. Seems stupid movements irritate - things you don't think would do and well there are things I must do as Nathan was not here. But if I hold a dog a certaon way I can brush - not comb. Don't ask. I just watch Nathan and well I must - just visitors of course. Mine I will play recovery but they have had baths so shouldn't be difficult.
Just know we are having fun!
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 5:51PM As time goes on the hand is getting really bad the more I type - so just a couple of photos. I will tell you Coco and Pavvie are playing and playing and playing. Ringo and Ziggie are 2 play monkeys. Doozie loves playing with Ziggy and Ringo. It's a great and I mean great fit. But photos - sorry - it hurts to click. Yes, it is that bad. Sorry.
Nathan or I will groom tomorrow. Today was a no grooming day as I had no choice. But I will tell you the cohesiveness of this crew is wonderful. Everyone is playing their hearts out. Nice!

If we do not have anymore snow it will be time to clean up the pool cover before it is opened. It doesn't get opened till the last week of this month or the 1st week of May.
It's booked and suddenly it will be swim time - yeah I wish.
Coco LOVES to watch tv from on high. I am glad we have not only a table with a bed on it, an ottaman, 2 couches and a huge crate that stays open that attaches the two couches in this room. They love the crate on top, inside and the back of the couches but they also love the recliner.
Sometimes they rush to get their fave spot. It's a riot.
No photo day today. But please realize it wasn't a sedate day in the least. It was play, play, play. I just found clicking the camera hurt the hand today. I did photos first thing this morning of pups and a few of the adults and then the hand was screaming. Sorry about that!
Monday, April 15, 2013 at 6:33PM Sorry it was a low key day I suppose as I had some baths to do. But here are a few photos that I took today and at the end a series of photos where we tried to get Pavlov, Roxie, Abigail and Panda to pose. I must say Panda posedthe best. The rest was funny. I took about 50 photos and only a few came out.
Ignore the blankets and the scenery. This is our TV room where we drape blankets on everything so the dogs can be comfie and they can come in from teh rain and not worry about getting thinsg dirty or wet.
Everyone I may say had a blast today.

I kept clicking Pavvie and Ringo playing. I was so frustrated as they are well fast. They are wild play dogs. So all I got was this.
This was actually the best one of the bunch. I give UP and each time I enter the room to go click when they are in the midst of wild play they stop and look at me. They are going to be a challenge to click.

Have to tell you I love Ringo's eyes. He also has a mix of personality that is similar to his canine mom but also his canine dad. I see both in them . He is a true character. He plays and plays and plays and I do think he is missing Finn but Roxie and Pavie is taking over. Have to get some photos but without Nathan its been crazy busy but soon her will be home - today!
Finn had a bath and gave me that look as if to say can't I go out? Well, he couldn't as he had just had a bath. Meanie me, I suppose but this way he looked great for human Daddy's pickup and he is even more snuggly.
This is Pavvie - Abigail's pup, (the littlest one) and Roxie's sister. She is a riot and when you lay down she blankets your head like a hat and licks your forehead in case you don't realize she is not there. Gad is she fun.
Now I just brushed up Coco as she heads out - just visiting as her human siblings are in a sport tournament. I call this her bad hair day. Really, her hair was brushed and as you can see after playing outside they adore all the creature comforts in the tv room. It's a blanket of dogs when you lay down in there and I love it! Think Dennis does too. I caught him snoozing with them all over him today.

Morning play continues - wet, wet, wet! Miss Roxie and Panda's sister Pavlov is coming to visit tonight. Let's hope it dries out more. I may have to take a nap this afternoon if the caffeine stops working.
Finn LOVES LOVES LOVES being soaked. He sticks his face in water dishes, runs through the body deep water on the pool cover that Dennis is going to pump off today as its too much and uses every chance to get soaked. I am laughing and laughing but oh he gets brushed the most!

Friday, April 12, 2013 at 5:58PM I am sorry - not much to report except we groomed a lot. We played inside and outside and I only was able to get a couple of photos. You see Dennis doesn't take any. Nathan is in Scottsdale, Arizona so its either use a brush and comb to get the dogs knot free or take photos.
I managed to get this head shot of Ringo and went oh my does he have a cute face. I like hair longer but hair grows, it's easier and he is cute! So why not?
Finn and Ringo have been playing like this inside, outside - it never stops. Ringo no problem getting wet - just hose off the mud and a light brush but Finn I have been line combing as he gets a bath when he goes home so I brush him every chance I get and seem to be doing that with everyone. You see a dirty coat plus water mats. It's not rocket science. I think that is why some show people wash their dogs every 4 or 5 days. Can you imagine that?
They now come in the door and lineup - no lie to get groomed and a treat. It's like a ritual. Only Risa says the hey with that, I am going under my Daddy's desk and if you don't see me maybe you will forget about me. She doesn't mind getting groomed once - maybe twice is okay but after that she is looking at you cross-eyed and maybe I am looking at them that way too.
Gad, I need the mud to go away.

Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10:30AM I have a couple of baths - Jazzy and Mia - playing today - going home later. Mia not till 6amish she departs on a plane with Nathan in cabin. He's heading to 30c weather and moaning to me - yeah right. We have a late class so I am busy packing for him and who will be blamed if he is missing something?
So blogs will be quick - but I did feed pups so that video will go up in a bit. We woke up to ice pellets and now it is snowing in a BIG way. These were taken around 6am. We are practicing for an early rise tomorrow as Nathan has to depart then.
This is better than mud - I think. :-) I was worried about washing Mia before class and keeping her clean for travelling. It would mean a 5am wakeup to brush her up before they go at 6am. Ouch. Late night class - gad.... Me and the dogs in class will be catching some serious zzzs you just watch!
Snow has now stopped and here are a few showing how much we got.
Jazzy had his bath and Mia later today. We are making progress. :-)
