Big shout out to Penny, Mia, Kit Kat and Tiger Lily. Huge love sent to you from the Talemaker Crew!
MickeyThis is Mickey. He is Stone and Radar's brother. He was the only black and white in that litter. He has the silkiest hair. He was here for a grooming. I had a VERY full day grooming. These past 2 days I want to shoot myself and put my exhausted body out of misery but tomorrow I am off with the daughter to Pet Expo and the blogs will be lean for different reason. Poor Nathan gets to hold down the fort with Jon (if he gets up) till Dennis gets up.
There is a Rheo update on Roxie's bog so be sure to check it out! Happy 16 week -wow!
Did manage to get more photos cause I took them. hahahaha I hope I captured some moments like Cooper's tongue.
Yes, I groomed, I clicked, I groomed, I ate, I groomed, I clicked. One dog took me 3 hours. Another almost 4. Yes, this was a 12 hour day again.
Spicy chooses to sleep with me. Lovely silky snuggles and Cooper with Nathan.
Clarity finds the squirrels interesting. She barks and barks at them.
Rocky is playing and it was great to have his dad see him play in person.
Tchibo will eat everyone's food if allowed. He is so bloody cute, I tell you!
Jeannie is out of heat - and I am so happy. Jeannie, well I missed at night. You see when we are in heat Nathan has to sleep with the gals in heat and I get to sleep with the boys and some gals. The cost of them sleeping in bed with us. Now to get Inula out of heat but watch someone else will come in. That is why tv time is very important during these times but no tv tonight.
Can't promise photos tomorrow but we shall see if the guys surprise me.
Dennis took photos. Here is the gallery. I apologize if everyone is not there. I noticed the Coops and Patches and maybe Radar was not. I do not tell Dennis what to click as that would be staged so - sorry. I will ask him to take the missing dogs tomorrow.
I had 9 dogs to do and that meant haircuts etc. After I finish this blog I need to brush out everyone else. So, I figure I am done at bedtime. Due to pups coming early I had to delay some groomings and then add my usual, well I am exhausted. As tomorrow is just as bad, I can't even promise photos then but I will try.
Dogs are having fun. Me, I need to sleep but I got to groom so off I go!
Thankfully Christine said wash them whenever so I fit them in today. Got their feet trimmed up, nails done and both rubbed their head and shook and I laughed.
Cooper arrived and he keeps smiling. Got to laugh. See Gallery. Yes, Spicy arrived too and oh my gad she is having fun too but its bloody raining again so we have few photos and most indoors. They brought blankets and bagels and cream cheese. Yum. 2 fluffy baby comforters.
Coco and Doozie also arrived for a overnighter and is perfectly groomed so it will be fun keeping them clean.
We also have Ozzie the mix Schnauzer here. Gracie departs tonight. It's a fun crew and it was great to see Cooper and Spicy. Russell really, really takes care of her hair well. It's back to being so silky. Nice!!
We are now going to feed and will try to keep everyone clean.
Ah going to be an extra fun tv night!
Well we won't have the trampoline cover on till the end of the month. It seems our cover is not fixed yet and I am not sure we are going to have real warmth again - do you? Too much to do with pots and furniture etc when I finally arrive at the belief that is true. Dogs love the cover on as they can run over it like a trampoline and Saffron's pups will be ready to go out their first time after the cover is on - bonus.
Tomorrow Cooper and Spicy are coming for a visit. I am so excited!
I think we are still playing recovery. Crazy but true.
Is it TV time yet? I can't wait! Dennis will sit in with Saffron and us with the dogs. I enjoy my cuddle time so much with the dogs - and Nathan too!
Coming and going is the norm today. Each time it rains we play inside and each time it stops we go outside.
I am so tired of the rain and to be honest I am still in the mode of recovery.
Dogs were all brushed out while nathan went running errands while Dennis slept. Now Nathan is sleeping. We so try to alternate rest for each of us. This too shall pass.
So, a short bog but dogs are doing well.
Out before the rain hits.
By the time Nathan got in the pool it was already clouding over and getting cold. I managed to get in earlier. Will this be the last swim? Surely looking like that with the weather coming our way.
Dogs were glad we got them out before rain arrived. Even Saffron looked when I opened the door and went nah...
Please do not give us a wet fall.
Levon and Trigger are back while Shannon has a roof done. Wish her luck. The boys are really having a blast. Levon's even sharing the recliner with Teddy. Time helps everything. :-)
Miss my tv time with the guys but I am in here with Saffron. Now off to put the gallery link on her blog.
Is anyone going to Pet Expos on the 9th or 10th? See show info. Dennis is sleeping during the day and he can't leave the pups. I also have to leave the car here in case of any pup emergency. I doubt we will need but just makes sense.
Will pay gas if I can go with you. Will make either day work.
Let me know!
Most of the day we had indoor play due to the rain. Here is today's gallery.
It's going to be a lean update day as we are still in recovery mode. I hope you understand. Pups coming 3 days early was not in our plans.
Everyone is playing well but it is pouring out. They say our only hot day will be tomorrow. I am going to try to get the last hoorah in the pool even if for 15 minutes. We shall see how I feel tomorrow buit looking at the weather forecast we are in deep fall weather for 14 days at least where everywhere else is going through a heat wave. Go figure.
I look forward to sleeping with the dogs tonight and watching Saffron on the video. Dennis will be doing the night time duty. He could have done it last night but best that I did so I could do grooming when I got up.
5 more hours and bedtime.
Now off to help feed the dogs/
Inula is in heat and no we are not breeding her. Think we will spay her in 8 weeks. It's time to stop this craziness for her called heat.
Leti and Ella is due anytime.
We set up the whelping box tonight but I think we should get it done.
We just heard from Brenda and she can no longer make the fish beds or houses. She is dealing with serious health issues.
It's cold outside. Will I get a swim in before Saffron pups? Mother nature please cooperate.
Dogs are playing. I just now finished combing them all out. I should be taking photos now.
But we are feeding in a few minutes and I may take a nap with saffron on the couch.
Are you surviving this long weekend?
Yes we do manage to have fun. No pool as it is too cool but they say tomorrow warmer. We are hopeful.
Here is this morning's gallery.
Panda and River have their onsie off. I will put River's on tonight to avoid any issue with scratching. I will suggest the same with Panda. They seem to be back to normal and on Monday they can get their stitches out.
This is how Clarity rolls. Gad I love her! You have to love a dog you comb out then looks like this 3 minutes later.
The dogs are enjoying this cooler weather. Me, I need a nap.
Levon, Trigger and boy Murphy departs today. I hate to see them go. Everyone with kids are getting ready to head back to school. Lots of changes for humans and dogs.
Trigger and Stormy know how to play!
Farley is a love - look at that kiss!
Tchibo visiting and having a blast. They say he now weighs 7lbs.
Oscar says what is up? That's my fave spot and its blocked. That's okay Oscar, we will put you up there anyways. You see we blocked it as 2 not 1 dog decided the cushion needed to be marked. Got to love it!@ We have a full house due to the long weekend but we have these things happen and we wash and move on and create ways to not duplicate.
Check out Jeannie's blog. Check out Adele's blog. No one else is in heat but they are due.
River and Panda are doing well. Tomorrow Panda goes home and early Saturday morning River goes home. Tracy has to pick up her family from the airport. Panda is itchy. River doesn't seem to be. Go figure.
Everyone is having a total blast truly!! The weekend has almost just begun!
Love it when the dogs smile, don't you?
It was a warm but cool day out. It almost looked like it was going to rain but it didn't. Nathan thinks I should give up heating the pool but I persist. I try each day to get 15 minutes or so and well I don't want the summer to go away anytime soon but it will.
The dogs were having a running blast out there a few times today. It's much easier on them when its not dreadfully hot so there is that!
It's been a day!
Chester and Amy have updates on their 1st birthday blog. Sorry -as I saw them I updated! So nice to see such a grand showing for a 1st birthday!
Also Amy signed up for a Tricks Class but there isn't enough people in it. Think you may want to join them? Here are the details:
From Amy's Dad: We've signed up for the Tricks are for Dogs class at the Ajax Who's Walking Who, starting on September 12--subject to confirmation. I talked to Gillian, and she said they don't have the requisite minimum number yet. Do you want to mention this on the blog? PS: Class is 7pm
It's exceptionally grand to chill with Grannie Risa. The dogs really like this warm but coolish daze (yeah I meant to spell it that way). I would like it to be a tad warmer.
We are busy through the long weekend then we are on puppy watch.
I didn't get to sleep till 4am. I gave Panda pain meds this morning. River didn't get any and she thinks she is all well now. Panda is better than last night. River slept mostly, Panda did not and therefore I did not. Poor thing. I am hoping we all get sleep tonight as I am sort of trashed.
Did you know groomers gladly accept tips especially when dogs are matted. :-) Just saying... I know shut up, Darlah!
I think I am just over tired.
I looked around at my yard today and went oh well....
Fall is coming. Weeds are coming... yuck. Can the dogs sit with me on the recliner and watch tv?
The daughter is coming over to see Adele and River after work. Then I may find that recliner - and the dogs will find me.
Amy also sent her photo but late last night. We were in bed. So look at yesterday's entry to see it. It's a great photo!
River After Spaying
Panda after spaying
Both are healthy and made it through the spaying well but they do not do pain well. I am in for a long night or two or three.
It's on me to watch them and be there for them tonight/ Hoping they sleep but if not, I am there for them. No more pain meds till tomorrow. Poor Julie came to the door and went what is that. Yes, you could hear them from my office to the front door. Just want to hug them and make the pain disappear. This too shall pass.
Risa had her teeth cleaned without anesthetic. She's okay but she's getting old. Well, she is old. Kat who is also a senior refused to let them do it manually so they did a round of tests and everything came back with flying colours so we have to book a teeth cleaning when we can. Hoping soon but with pups coming and heats and spaying arghh
Muntuno also got his teeth cleaned manually. Bravo Muntuno.
On a happier note doesn't Raven have the nicest smile? It's as if she holds a secret.
Here is today's gallery. It's not much as I have been busy trying to get my own dogs washed before pups. I still have a few to do. I only got Ella, Shoshi and Stormy done plus my usual schedule of dogs for others.
I wanted to swim but it was bloody cold so why not groom.
Stormy cleans up nicely.
Got to focus on Panda and River so I am signing off for now. Nathan still has to try to breed Adele. It's been a long day for him s well. Tomorrow morning xrays locally.
Hi, Darlah, Nathan.
When you see the girls next, please wish them Happy 1st Birthday from Chester…and give Saffie a big kiss from her boy. Here are a couple of pics...I don’t have any cute birthday celebration photos - he was terrified of the hat - LOL! He did enjoy his very special dinner of basted chicken thighs, however. You’ve seen him so much this summer, it’s not a mystery how he’s doing.
Dear Darlah and Nathan,
Here we are celebrating Amy's 1st Birthday with cake. She wasn't even annoyed with us when we bought the cake for her, but then we ate it all! Thanks for helping to bring our little angel into this world. She is such a dear, such a very special little girl.
Love and blessings,
Bob, Beverley and Amy
XOXO

Hi Darlah and Nathan
If I'm remembering correctly, I believe today is a birthday for Sadie and her siblings. She is spending this birthday at the cottage and having a grand time. We've been here for a week and will head back home after Labour Day.
I hope all is good with you folks and also hope all of Sadie's siblings have a very happy birthday!
Cheers,
Patt

Saffron says: Happy Birthday to Sadie, Chester, Amy, Tenshie and Ollie. Tomorrow you will find out how many siblings by another litter you will be having. So exciting that 1 year ago I had all of you - such amazing pups to love!
I still have Kat to groom. I just finished everyone a half hour ago and thanks to Sherry I can eat and blog at the same time. Thank you for the Chinese! I actually hadn't eaten today.
It's a crazy day as I had to do Panda, River and Kat (not Risa) for the vet visit tomorrow. Risa stayed perfect. Kat who was washed 2 days ago needs a full bath. Why? We have girls in heat and that means he goes and marks up a storm so to make it sound wonderful - sorry he is a pissy mess so I literally have to use this stuff that sits on his undersides for 30 minutes and then I can wash him. It lifts the yellow off. So just when you thought breeding was fun beyond the howling you have to wash boys daily - at least light shampoo rinse. Kat needs more and he was rinsed this morning. I am so lucky.
Boys that are getting a connection do not do this. So Stone stays clean. Truffie has to be rinsed too.
So beyond the usual dogs going home that I had to do (no more Sunday grooming unless you are a boarder) I have this to contend with.
So I washed and cut and groomed and I took a break and went into the pool. You will see my legs. It was only 30 minutes but needed. But now after I type I get to do Kat. Last night I groomed till 930.
I know - stop complaining.
Tomorrow night Nathan will return with the dogs and we will have River and Panda to take care of till Friday when they can go home. it's a busy week and I am so trying to get pool time in. Who cares about the weeds.
Last night at 930 I sat down on the recliner and Scruffy, Pepper, Teddy and Cinnamon made a bee line for my lap. It felt good.
Now back to grooming.
Everyone is enjoying and its just Dennis and I tomorrow.
Chewy, Riley and Gracie depart tomorrow.
