Sadie (Thyme) and Marlee arrived and they are both having a complete blast. Me, I am sick so I have to rest for a bit as I have a 3pm grooming and I am not sure I am up for it.
It's as if Murphy says I know who you are but you look different.
Amy departs tomorrow - puppy visit tomorrow. I need to rest!

I am so trying. I clean feet. I brush them and still this is what they look like after going outdoors. I had plans to transplant a couple of plants but not today. I also need to start working on the middle bed but I figure after pups depart. Then I have no excuse.
Saffron is supposed to be done her heat tomorrow. I think she is done today. She is playing with a squeaky toy which tells me she is pregnant. Its what she did last time but I didn't clue into it. Tomorrow Sadie (Thyme) will be here and it will be interesting to see how Amy and her connects. Marlee gal is coming too and it will be fun to watch their interaction together. I just hope this weather clears up.
As its such a mucky day that it seems fruitless to just wait till tonight when they are even more messy, I decided to do the blogs early. Maybe I will get cuddle and tv time with them. I would like that. Too often Nathan gets it and I am blogging. :-(

Think this is the new norm in a summer day. Chester, Tenshi and Charlie went home. We had to fix our pot as it was leaking (water pot) and it takes 12 hours to cure in dryness. So today we got to put all the water plants back after putting all the bricks in the pot for shelving for the plants. Seeing we had our hose out *unkinkable version - hooray) I watered the plants and transplanted 2 plants. I needed to do another but ran out of soil. Tomorrow.... The dogs found the process fascinating and they love fresh potting soil.
I did manage to brush everyone out and do mega laundry. We had a few run run run games. Then the clouds came and then the rain and we have been playing indoors. Soon it is tv time!

The Charlie - a full of life fun oneSo hot out today but as you will see in the gallery we play indoors too. Dogs are having a lot of fun. Charlie and Chester departs tomorrow. Holly comes for the day while their humans go to Wonderland. That is, if it doesn't rain.
Everyone is truly finely meshed. They all enjoy each other.
Amy and Chester are tight but come Friday Saffron will be done her heat and will be able to hang out with Amy. It is time and they both will so enjoy it! Plus Sadie comes this weekend. Brie and Colby will also be dropping in - been awhile and more fun!!

Here is today's gallery. They played. They enjoyed and it started at 7am. Dennis said they were great while we were at the vets.
They are really enjoying each other and it is rather nice to watch. As the days go by they create all sorts of bonds. It is interesting to see who they play with from day to day.
No one got to swim but maybe tomorrow.

It was sunny. I ate. I was going to take some dogs in the pool then it clouded up and it was put the towel on cold. So, I said forget about that and got out of the suit. Then it got hot again then cloudy. So, we played but so much for the swimming we planned. Was going to get the pups back in too. This is truly crazy weather.
You will see Nathan's creative foot stool. hahahaha
Tomorrow's blogs will be mega short other than the puppies and that will be mega late.
Sorry about that.
Amy and Chester are truly clued into being siblings and are enjoying each other. Pixie and Leo depart tonight. I need to figure out my day tomorrow and what I have to get ready. See Roxie blog to understand.
We have these plants with the seeds from hell as they stick to their coat. So, I have been combing it out. Dennis - yoo hoo - I got half gone - your turn. :-) I need my sanity.
As I type the dogs are running in the kitchen. Got to laugh at the fun!

The dogs were more comfortable outside today despite the humidity. We got to hang out, run around and enjoy. Nathan even managed to get walked on.

Friday, July 7, 2017 at 7:05PM Dogs are having fun. Rusty was here and Momma did a wonderful job considering he went cottaging, hahahaha. Lucky dog.
Pixie and Leo dropped in and are having a blast already. Pixie already reclaimed her spot in the tv room.
They say rain is coming tonight so I want to get out to play with the dogs.
Van is in shop and we had to rent a vehicle for Monday as we have the puppy vet visit then.
I had Tracy take me to Brunos but I feel guilty saying can we go to Costco or Longos too?
I groomed most of the day. Jumped in the pool for a few and now I am blogging!

Was way too hot so much that the dogs do not want to hang outside. Daddy watch tv - Nathan watch tv and we will hang with you please! We still take them out to do their duty and attempt to play but inside on a cool floor is what they want. Tomorrow they say cooler weather coming. Dennis ran with them indoors but nothing like outdoors.
Here is a very small video of them hanging.
After the sun goes down we will get them out for a play session. It was too hot for the puppies too so no outdoor video for them either. It happens. maybe by 8pm is will be cool enough.
Everyone is getting along really well.
I made chicken broth ice cubes with pieces of chicken and if its still hot tomorrow the dogs will enjoy! It's a cheap treat that they enjoy when it is extra hot!

I had a bunch of photos and thought I had changed the stick and formatted it. So, it's a no photo day. Sorry. I was multi-tasking. You see we have these weeds that have seeds and they are getting caught in the dogs hair so I have been brushing them out and pulling weeds. It was hot. Then the daughter came over for a swim and well there you go.
So tomorrow photos - today - ooops!
Dogs are doing well. No one wanted to come into the pool. Roxie and Ella jumped in with the grand daughters.
Still no car and looks like its the transmission - when it rains it pours.
But we have the dogs for hugs!!

Jesse and Murphy are visiting just overnight. He got to be exposed to the pups and so did Roxie and Poppy. We will try those that show interest.
We had several visitors that had to be slowly conditioned to Jesse. They are not used to a big dog like him, I imagine. So they bark at him and he turns away. They start to go - oh he is just big but harmless. I like when he comes as it helps those that are not familiar with him.
He tends to engage without being in their face. Where Inula is a moving target who doesn't know how to contain herself. It is good for the pups and the adults. We fear what we do not know.
The dogs played a great deal. They got these %^&%$# seeds in their hair so it seems Dennis has some weed pulling to do in the back garden. Probably me too.
We are off to do tv time then run like crazy game outside. time to cut this short!

The blogs are short tonight. We had company and well not enough time to click and video. Helen and Suzie came over and a few of the dogs swam but most wanted to stay inside with the air. Here is the video of Roxie, Ella, Kat, Milo and Hugo - oh yeah and Inula. The rest - it was as if they knew when it was cloudy.
We have 2 dogs here that have never been here and they are fitting in really well.
I am extra tired tonight. The van has to be brought in tomorrow - probably the transmission. Got to get landscape paper and stones and dig but maybe with the lack of being able to go anywhere will help me focus on that or take a break. We shall see!
As I type the crew is sitting in the tv room laying all over nathan and Dennis. Life is grand!!

Sounds like Sadie is a great Cottage gal. Lucky her!! She even got to go in the boat! I am so glad she is on an adventure. Better to start it in the summer, I say!
Dogs had a great deal of fun but its difficult getting Dennis tso I only got a few. I have grooming tonight. Sorry... life.
Tomorrow Satch, Cha Cha, Moxie and Murphy depart and we get new visitors that have never been here coming and they going to have so much fun.
Cha Cha and Jeannie seem to be enjoying each other and Satch really likes Winston and Stone.

Got a photo of the Spicy one and yes you can see that smile of hers. I just love that photogenic messy look. It is so her! Check out the video.
Here is the Sadie living the life up at their cottage and I hear she will have a boat ride. What great adventures both Spicy and Sadie are in for. We may miss them but oh boy it makes our hearts swell when we see how happy they are!
Maybe if the weather cooperates we will get some swimming in. Not looking good so far. Sun comes out and by the time I get my suit on it rains. hahahaha

We got a photo from Dusrty's mom and thought we would share. Happy Canada's Day everyone and Happy 4th to our friends and family down south.
Dogs been having a blast considering we are doing the back yard weeding and all sorts of things. Everyone got to sniff the pups. Going to make this short as I have to pressure wash around the pool as Dennis has dirt all over it from pulling out weeds. It's going to take me a bit. I figure and hour or so. Best get to it.

I managed to wash Roxie, groom everyone with a comb and do some others that I had scheduled. After the puppy visit I have 2 to do full grooms on as they will be departing.

It's going to be a short blog today. I weeded, I had a lot of grooming and well now I need to take the pups out as the son is weeding around the pool. It is so needed and he said shall I take the pups out? I said NO, I will and you weed. heh
Tenshi and Moxie played with the pups today. Both are great with them. Roxie won't let Rocco or Barney near her pups. Perhaps she figures they are too young. She also felt that way about Leti then she said ok. Neither feels very interested so perhaps that is why.
Dogs played up a storm today! It rained. It stopped, it was muddy - joy - you get the picture. So much work today. Next week I will dig down 3 to 4 inches in the middle bed and so it begins. I must be nuts.
Saffron and Stone are starting to do the dance but its still very early. I figure in the next few days. She is not prime yet. Stone also growls at Kat. So, we are keeping them apart till teh heat is done. <sigh> When she is prime we will start taking him daily to tucker him out and redirect his mind. Next week will be swim, swim, swim Kat!

Winston was here and had a bath and trim and found the pups fascinating. Roxie says I know you!
Ella went swimming today but no one else. It wasn't that warm and Nathan took a fast dip after his nap. I weeded and weeded and then jumped in the pool.
You can now walk in the back gate and down the path without getting swatted with bushes and trees. It's a miracle. hahahaha
I was in body ache mode today so I left the middle bed alone for today. I imagine I will be back at it tomorrow in-between pups, grooming and everything else. I only have tomorrow as Friday Roxie and her boys get baths. Then Sunday or Monday we have visitors depending on the weather so swimming is in the cards. Gardening between then.
Rocco keeps looking at the deck closed off as if to say - hey why can't we go in there? So we put toys out on the upper deck and all was happy. Can't have those puppies having all those toys and we only have a few.
Everyone is having a great deal of fun!

But here is Moxie nose to nose with the pups and you will see a few more in the gallery. Dogs had a low key day. they played. they hung out with me while I weeded. they found this weeding fun. I would make piles and they would jump in it and drag them all over. Yes, I am laughing but it was frustrating.
Moxie is great with the pups. So is Raven but Stormy tends to be too physical with no understanding of what is too much but she will get it. She is still a puppy.each gets it on their own timeline.
Rocco arrives tonight. Moxie arrived earlier. It's a fun house tonight but me - I am so very tired.

Between the ice, the rain, the sun we had our time out and indoors. Is this really summer?
Cosmo, Pixie, Leo departed. Logan and Panda too. A dear friends mom died so Nathan is heading out tonight to be with everyone. I have to hold down the fort. We have had 2 people die that we know - offline - long-term. We have to remind ourselves that what we say could be the last thing we say to people. So, it has been a week not so good with many moments - and that's what life is about - moments.
But the dogs get us by. They make you laugh and they make you savour the yearning to swim but mother nature has something else in mind. You will see in the gallery the hail we got today for the 2nd day in a row.
We also got the adirondack chair - a red one and Dennis is screaming about building it. Had to replace the one that is falling apart before someone sits in it and falls down. Dennis says - its perfectly okay. Yeah if you sit on it the right way. Now you wonder why I laugh....
Looks like Moxie and Rocco comes tomorrow. fun - fun - fun!

We had sun then rain and no one got to swim. Now it's cold - well colder. I had a sweatshirt on when I was outdoors with the dogs. Here is today's gallery.
Dogs were wonderful. Benji, Frannie, Tiger Lily and Murphy departed. Tomorrow Cosmo, Pixie and Leo depart.
Tomorrow we are doing a Costco run. Dennis will hold down the for the short visit out. It's called the no food in the house syndrome.
We are adjusting to the Spice being gone especially seeing the photos and how happy she is.
Let's hope for sun tomorrow. I want to swim and maybe bring some doggies and hey maybe I won't break out in hives. hahahahaha
