Long Day

Sorry - it's been a day. Dogs are having fun. It's snowing again. 

We had Rusty here. He had a blast. He has the same texture of hair as his siblings. Nice hair...

Murphy dropped in. I groomed EVERYONE but 2. Nathan groomed Thyme and Chester.

Ronnie brought a wonderful gift for Nathan and I and the pups. I have not tried this honey. Going to try it tomorrow on my toast - yum. Thank you, truly!!!

Snowy Cold Fun

Chester is visiting and Thyme is in heaven. She keeps having the siblings come to see her and she is exhausted. Exhausted in a good way. 

We had sideways snow here this afternoon. The dogs looked out and decided inside was better. 

Rusty is enjoying playing especially with Odin. He's here overnight due to the storm. Think Nathan got some indoor shots of him playing his heart out but I will have to add them in tomorrow's gallery. I have a lot of grooming to do and tomorrow I have Rusty and 8 pups to clean up. 

It's been a fun day but I am tired so a short blog it is.

Thyme for Stick

It is so irresistible. Can't help ourselves. Something intoxicating with gardening for a puppy. Amy is here till tonight and the pups are having a total blast. Bet you Amy will be tired tonight.

It was too cold today. Dogs spent short stints outside. They wanted to go and then they went oh its cold. The humans felt cold too. Still, they played their hearts out inside. Not a single dull moment other than short naps. :-)

Very Small Update

Each time the dogs go out they get DRENCHED and I mean DRENCHED. Needless to say I didn't take photos as they all looked like wet rats except Teddy who stayed clean after his bath and trim. 

You can sort of see how wet they got through the gate. Lots of drying today - too much.

Now to dry Logan and Panda as they are departing shortly. I dream of roof over my back yard. Does anyone else have strange dreams like that?

Snow Blast Time

The dogs LOVE the snow and Inula is in her element. She adores it - Risa too. Here is the gallery.

Sibling Fun

Oh did they have a blast! Here is the gallery.  All the dogs did with this snow. It's cold enough that there are no snowballs on them either - bonus!

It was hysterical watching Amy play with everyone. If someone tried to jump on her, she said NO. They listened. What a smart girl. Here is a short video of them playing in the backyard. 

The dogs are back outside running around like banshees in the snow.

Dusting of Snow

Barney is so smitten with Truffie, it's unreal. 

I cleaned the house, I groomed. I did the blogs, I cleaned. 

Nathan went outside today and found his LLBean waterproof shoes that he adores sprung a leak. It's not that they are old (actually not old at all) but Inula seemed to take a liking to them. Tsk tsk. Remember a pair of sandles I treasured that was chewed? Nathan told me if you put them away it wouldn't happen. I didn't say a word to him. I just shook my head. Guess what he is getting for the holidays. hahaha Inula will get a massive chew toy. Not as a reward but it is obvious she needs to chew on something and best a toy vs. shoes.

Wel I got a lot of grooming done today. Feel like I am juggling. Multi-tasking craziness but now the blogs and maybe some relax time.

Cold Fun But No Snow Squalls

We were under a warning of snow squalls but so far they have not materialized. Dogs have managed to have a delighful amount of fun. Check out the gallery. 

I groomed all day and fed pups between and took out pups to the hall between. It's been a day!

Changing Times

Trouble was playing with her mom today. At first she wouldn't and Panda just kept after her and she went ah okay. It was so funny. 

Dogs were playing like crazy. I have been avoiding baths as I didn't want to have to clean them again. Perhaps tomorrow is the day. :-) Will it stay cold?

Trouble and Pals

We had a strange night with Trouble. She wasn't sure what was what. She had a haircut and she smelt different. Remember dogs are visual and use their sense of smell to know who you are. She looked different and smelt differently. Even Panda didn't know her.

So today I washed her and Panda got excited when she smelt her and was following her around everywhere excited. The dogs started smelling and reacted as if to say, oh now we know who you are. Poor Trouble knew them but they didn't seem to know her. This morning it's all starting to change after the bath. 

Then Barney came in shaved and it was as if he was a new dog but they are now playing with him.

Day Off

We had snow so we got wet, messy and the human decided day off seeing she had grooming all weekend. Well almost no grooming. Moms were done. So almost a day off.

The tv died. Dennis fixed it 3 times over the years and this time not doable. It happens.

Laundry is working overtime with pups. Nathan took a nap. He's a bit depressed about Trouble - read on.

Trouble was cut down short and it appears its not working out so she is coming back tonight. So, even if we kept her it would be 2 years before her hair grew out. I will be happy to see her. Wonder if Nathan will steal all the snuggling time. We shall see. I bet you the dogs here will be delighted to see her as she is always been the life of the party.

Wednesday Emmy comes for the day. Emmy is Tucker's sister. Barney also comes. We are excited!

It's a no mud day so we celebrate that. 

Also, I am looking for waterproof mats (pads) but having a tough time finding them. I bought some from Toys R Us but they are flimsy and thin. I place them outside of the pad area in case the pups do a half in and out outflow. I do not have enough so I am cleaning too often. It's not that they are having tons of accidents but it only takes one. For pups you want to keep the area clean so they get the idea that the pad is where they go not on the pads. Plus I use them under their dish so they have grip while eating. Eventually when they are really solid on their feet we increase floor space and eliminate the need. So, if you see some in your travels, let me know. 

Very Short

This is Tucker. He just finished having a grooming. This is Emmy's pup. Isn't he cute? He departs soon.

This is Murphy after her bath. Saffron and Murphy remain the best of pals. It's rather nice.

Everyone has had a lot of fun today. Cooper has arrived home by now. I cleaned so many feet but its now cold so no mud - hooray. Am I supposed to be excited about cold?

Dennis and I are going to catch up on a tv show. Hope you don't mind.

Muddy Times

This is Tenshi. This was the littlest gal from Saffron. What an incredible personality she has! She loves the mud though but everyone did. I rinsed feet a lot.

This is Tenshi after her bath. She looks like a new dog. She departs tonight and I am about to wash Cooper though I may wait till just before bed so he stays clean. He departs tomorrow morning. He too has black feet.

Pippin also had a bath and trim. He played and played and rather enjoyed his Brewer time!

Very Short Update

As its our anniversary we are doing short blogs today. Forgive me. We had Japanese. Shh the dogs had some tendons and well I will play catch-up tomorrow.

Two Updates Today

Nathan has a running complaint that I steal all the dogs from him. He then says the only way I am successful is I treat them. Of course he is teasing me but it's moments like these that I know he is full of ahem. hahahaha

Well we had to rush Inula to the vets today. She didn't appear herself. It's hard to explain but you know your dog then she peed in the house several times - unlike her and each time it had blood in it. I was figuring she has stones. It turns out she has a urinary tract infection and has antibiotics almost triple the dose that the havanese have. Poor thing. Hope it passes quickly. Seeing Inula is Nathan's dog, I will let him have the fun of giving her meds twice a day. Nice of me? So we were going to put off the anniversary meal. Our vet bills due to Adele and this has us cringing. We went locally as Nathan couldn't be away for a long time.

Cooper arrived today. Anne and Russell brought holiday gifts for Dennis, Nathan and I plus the pups. Too generous - seriously but wow guess where we are getting takeout from tomorrow. Filet Mignon and Shrimp - yum! Now I hope that Cooper gets dirty so I can do a free bath. :-) Play your heart out, Cooper. I was resigned to forgetting about tomorrow. Wow good friends are hard to come by and incredibly special. 

PS: Dennis is so jazzed by his gift. He went WOW!

Sherry also brought a fan she doesn't need anymore as she is moving to a condo. Her home sold in record time. I now don't have to sneak opening the window. Thank you!!!! VERY special, indeed!

Then if that wasn't enough, I think the sound on the tv died but I am in too good of a mood to be bummed and I am hoping Dennis can fix. Well Dennis says its the speakers to the tv itself and he can't help. He keeps saying sorry... Shut it off, turned off the speakers to the tv and its crackling. Sounds like the circuit board is frying or something. Joy...

Tiny and Winston was here for grooming and play. Dolly was here for play. It's an absolutely fun bunch.

Nathan and Dennis are off to the movies to see Dr Strange. We are finally using up movie tix we had as presents that were about to expire. Tracy is supposed to be helping but I think she is a sickie. Please do not give it to me. 

It's been a day - ups and downs. Life but today more ups then downs.

2 Years Ago Today

Yes, It's Wet and Warm

Yes, the wet weather has remained. I washed a few of my dogs but I questioned my sanity. One of them was Cinnamon so let's see what she looks like tomorrow when Cooper arrives. Winston departs soon after Cooper arrives. Tiny is also coming to play for the day and get a grooming.

Thyme is really keeping us on our toes. She is practicing I can't hear you unless you have a treat. Oh, you smarty pants! The rain, the wet, the mud - she doesn't care. Why is that a surprise?

Black Feet

This is what I mean when it rains. I would rather have snow - even snowballs then black feet and black under carriage. You either can let it dry and brush it out (clean your floors too) and that works or you wash their feet and under carriage. It's one of THOSE days here. I hope during the holiday time whn we have visitors we have snow or dry. Is it too much to ask for?

As we have had quite the time with pups etc come Thursday Nathan is taking Dennis to Dr. Strange. Tracy and I will be holding down the fort. Nathan lucks out with 2 movies in a week. Now how did that happen? 

Good to get some time off before it gets extra busy. 

Puppy Love

Everyone loves a puppy. Here is today's gallery taken about 8am before brushings. It's amazing how light it is so early in the day and how dark it is so early in the day. hmmmm

Well it's quiet today and Friday is our anniversary (don't ask how many - lots) so we are taking advantage of the no extra dog night and heading to a movie in VIP seats. This way we can sit next to each other, eat and enjoy. Then Friday (the actual day) maybe we will do takeout from Akasaka or something. 

This means short blogs and an early departure. 

Oh, my fan (oscillating tower fan) died and I must have a fan even in winter or open my window. Nathan frowns on heat going out the window. Go figure so if you know of somewhere that actually still has them in stock, please let me know. I think they delist them so they can fit Christmas stuff. Mine died yesterday and shhh I did open the window till bedtime. I can't keep getting away with it. hahahaha
