Gallery or Not

Have a day out and then very busy time on my return so not sure if galleries will exist today. But pups have had a play session. I was cleaning and getting ready so no clicks.

Pups are really coming into their own. They are real characters. I can't say it enough. I really love the 3 crew!

Okay a small gallery of the 3 crew.

Boys and Girls

In Nathan's hands is Saffron's little boy. He is a snuggler. He comes and looks for me.

I really love all these pups. Each are truly unique. I spend a lot of time snuggling them up.

Here is the gallery from the 3 crew today.

I can't believe in a week they will see their family to be.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Upstairs Play

Here is the gallery.

Pups now go upstairs 2 to 3 times and have a couple of play sessions in this room while we clean pens, sterilize etc.

The pups are eating okay. They like the mousse better than the softened kibble but they like the hard kibble that moms have. Does it taste better or is there something about eating moms food?

Be sure to watch the videos.

4 Weeks 5 Days

I have to say we have characters abound in the 3 litters including the Saffrons. In the last few days they have really found fun in the tunnel. We expose them to the tunnels young so they get used to the rolling and movement and they tend to enjoy them this way.

Today, I noticed the pups falling asleep in the car bed upstairs and one of Cinnamons was a blanket on top of the smaller crew. You will see it in the gallery on the Cinnamon blog. It made me smile.

You can always check out the videos here.

4 Weeks 4 Days Old

When Saffron feeds her puppies she does so out of the pen. e have 3 distinct spots for each litter to feed without interference from the other pups. It makes things so much easier.

Here is today's gallery.

Pups look forward to upstairs play. See the gallery. They bound out of the pen and they now chase nathan.

Check it out in the videos.

4 Weeks 3 Days Old

This is a Saffron and Ella puppy. Although Saffron's pups are 5 days younger, they are similar in size. It's the same thing that happened with Raven and Stormy pups. One line grows fast, the other has a slower growth curve. They all get to where they are meant to be.

Here is the gallery.

The pups are getting to be a lot of fun.

Be sure to check out the galleries. I am trying to get them up now.

4 Weeks 2 Days Old

Saffron LOVES to play with her pups. She is teaching them as she does. I find when I have them feed from her outside of the pen she has the best play with them. Ella is ther same. So, I am making sure each mom has one on one time too with their pups and they do so now after each feeding. It's extra work but I think they will learn more this way. I am impressed with the moms.

Here is the gallery.

4 Weeks 1 Day Plus Nails

This is a girl. She is a tri. As you can see the colour is starting to bleed through on legs, stomach and her muzzle.

This chocolate is a girl. She was interesting. She cuddled up with the older dogs without issue when we put all 11 together in 1 pen. Yes, that happened today.

This one is a girl as well and she has really interesting markings.

This one is a sable boy.

Here is the gallery.

All 11 pups were placed together today. They did well with each other but not so much on the pad so I have been doing a lot of work. They wake up, I put them on the pad over and over again till they go.

Feeding has also been on me. So, we left one pen up in addition to the big pen. I place Ella's in that pen to feed. I leave Cinnamons in the large pen and I place a rug outside of the pen area to have Saffron feed.  It is a lot of work on me. I will do it each day till they get where the pads are in the large pen. They are really early but I like to get them directed.

We hope by Monday or Tuesday that they will be going upstairs at night without mom. When that happens Dennis can head back to his bed which he has not slept in for months and it has to be better than a recliner.

Nathan did cut nails. You can see the videos here.  You can also see their new setup.

They are growing up. By the time they are heading upstairs, the youngest, this crew, will be 4.5 weeks old.

4 Weeks Old Today

They may be the youngest of the 3 crew but they are increasing in skill as the days go. When you merge 2 or 3 litters together, it always benefits the youngest as they attempt to perfect their skills to keep up. I find you can't easily merge till late if the gap is more than a week.

Here is the gallery.

Do check the changes we have in store for all 3 litters on the Cinnamon blog.

The pups are eating well. They are the most loving crew.

Be sure to check out the videos. I have a pen to take down and well - changes.

3 Weeks 6 Days Old

These pups are almost 4 weeks old now. Wow!

Here is the gallery.

How did they do with food seeing they are the youngest? It appears they did well.

It is interesting to see Saffron's trying to play with Cinnamon pups. They are growing up!

First Hall and First Food

First Hall Visit Gallery with Saffron, Ella and Cinnamon Pups

They did really well. So far they have played upstairs and in the hall. Way to go, pups!!

Be sure to check out the videos.

I tried doing first food by myself. Nathan was BBqing - yes in winter. But when he saw I was juggling, he came to help near the end of the Saffron puppy attempt.

Here is the gallery.

They did really well but my videos may be interesting. We will have more tries.

3 Weeks 4 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups have had a low key day. I decided to take them out one at a time for a change but I didn't take videos or photos. I still have a lot on my plate and besides every now and then when its just me and the pups, I like to play and observe vs. clicking and seeing after. It helps me to understand the personalities that are presenting themselves.

This crew is now 3 and a half weeks old. In 4 days we will start seeing if all the pups in the 3 crew will eat mousse.

3 Weeks 3 Days Old

This crew does explore but they also stay closer than the Cinnamon crew. This is part of the 7 days difference in their age but soon they will play catch up. The age difference always benefits the younger ones as they try to meet the development of the older crew.

Here is the Saffron gallery.

At 3 weeks they are already walking really well. They play. They interact. I am impressed.

Be sure to check out the gallery of all 3 in the Ella blog. Plus be sure to check out the videos.

3 Weeks 2 Days Old

Here is today's gallery.

The puppies are highly curious. They look out of their xpen always looking to see what is going on.

They are great cuddlers.

Today is a short blog. I will try to upload the videos but if I do not get to them, I will tomorrow.

3 Weeks 1 Day Old

Despite their age they are mighty agile and curious. They are doing rather well and never had that drunken sailor period. It was get up on those feet and walk.

Here is their gallery today.

I am trying to get the pups upstairs so this blog will be short.

Be sure to check out their videos.

They also just had a play session. Check out the link on Cinnamon's blog.

3 Weeks 1st Upstairs

The Saffron pups turned 3 weeks old today. They had their very first adventure. This is early but they were up to it. With the Cinnamon and Ella pups, they have started their exposure to each other. There is a method to our madness. By exposing early they become familiar and eventually we can put them all together. It means more work for us actually as we have to put moms on pups for feeding all night or separate a pen in 3 just for the night till they get old enough to go upstairs. We will figure it out. We may even get a couch back in here.

These pups were attempting to walk on the flooring upstairs. We had accidents - of course as they are mighty young but that was true of all 3 litters. As they get older they get better and better.

Here is the gallery of all 3 litters together upstairs for the 1st time.

Be sure to check out the videos as well.

Plus check out the gallery of just the Saffron pups taken today.

I was pleasantly impressed!

What a beautiful, striking head on this black and white. I really love her personality so far.

The pups are 1 day shy of 3 weeks. They are active and doing well.

Here is a small gallery.

19 Days Old

They are not even 3 weeks old and they have been engaging in play the last few days. Saffron pups always seem to be early in their development and its important when you want to merge litters. This is especially important when they are the youngest. They are also walking rather well. So funny to see tiny ones walking.

Here is the gallery.

Heat lamps are now off. It gets too hot with them on in here. The pups will cry if it is too cold or too hot. They have yet to cry as it is too cold. They have as its too hot.

Be sure to check out the videos.

18 Days New Area

Here is the gallery.

The pups are out of their whelping box and very curious. They adapted quite well though one couldn't find its siblings and started fussing as it was clear across the pen. Saffron came running and pushed it towards the others. What a riot! She knew what was needed.

Pups are staring at the Ella pups and the Ella pups are staring at them. They do get up on their feet to walk or try to use the pad. Good thing as they need to be ahead of the growth curve so they can play with the bigger guys when the time comes.

Be sure to check out the videos.

17 Days Old

For pups that are not 3 weeks yet, they are pretty engaging. That is good as they are the youngest and will need to play catch up. They are doing so well that I think in a couple of days I will be taking them out of the whelping box and they too will have an open area.

Here is the gallery.

I am glad that they are attempting walking, playing etc already.

Be sure to watch the videos.
