Nesting: No News

This is the longest stage of labor - stage 1. It generally lasts six to eighteen hours. When temp drops considerably, to 98-99° puppies should present themselves within 24 hours. Roxie has been at 98.6/98.5 since last night at 930pm.

She will be hungry when the pups come as she is hardly eating. This is normal. Pups have dropped - meaning their position has changed but they have not moved down.

She doesn't do anything by the book so we shall see how it all unfolds. :-)

-------------

Will take off No NEWS off the title when she starts having contractions. It hasn't happened yet. I think she is waiting for Panda. hahahaha Forget about Nathan. Nathan is at the show again tomorrow but there very late. I am very tired so if its not tonight I hope I get sleep.

Thinking of all of you. I noticed that in this photo she is in the whelping box...hopefully Nathan will make it home in good time for the birth. Good luck with all!

Yes, she finally decided to dig in the box but her moments under the couch is trying. She really thinks that is where the pups should be born.

I hope Nathan comes home soon - I think, by now I would be close to "crazy" !
Ms Casey and I are watching the updates closely and wishing all involved the very best!

So much for getting "lots of rest" before the all-night vigils huh Darlah? Roxie is a character but oh so adorable! At least she didn't crawl under the deck like a certain other Talemaker mom! We'll be watching for a safe and hopefully easy delivery. All the best to you all.

Crossing my fingers that Nathan gets to experience the birth of Roxie's puppies!

I hope everything is working out for Roxie. Exciting but anxiety producing as well.
Hope all goes well for everyone.

Any news with Roxie yet? If so, please post pictures

February 15, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterMary

No news... just nesting still. If I am not alone then photos get posted as I go. If I am alone then photos get taken after and posted.

But, but, but, it's been 24 hours.... Poor thing. I hope the pups come soon or that you can all get some rest.

February 15, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterShannon

Hoping for pups soon so that you can all rest including Roxie. She must be exhausted, and you too Darlah. I think we're all glued to our computers/iPads from wherever we are so we can get the updates on Miss Roxie. Hugs to all!

I'm new to Darlahs blog and I have to say its phenomenal! I'm glued to my iPad! We haven't met yet but my family and I are looking forward to our visit!

February 15, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterMary

Like I said she hasn't done anything normal yet. She has napped. I have not. I am soon off to bed with her snuggling with me. Don't worry. I will post if anything changes.

February 15, 2014 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Mary, Darlah's blog is the best and highly addictive! You will truly enjoy it! Far better than ready the news!
