Keika's New Family

Last one to go home. Must admit, had to stay away from the door as I rather miss them but they are on a journey that will certainly be a lifetime of adventure, love and fun.

Charlie comes back in 2 days and i bet you the 2 that remain will be so jazzed.

Here's the gallery of the pups before they went home. Here is the gallery of part of her new family. She has kids to play with. Such fun!

I am catching my breath and of course we have rain so grooming too. Video is now finally here.

Keika's Bath Before Home

Well, Keika decided she wasn't going to be bathed so I said I think you are. She was a riot. Drying was easier as she had a tendon to munch on while I dried her. I think these pups are VERY smart and they know a bath means they go. It's not that going is a bad thing. They just don't know what going is or probably it's more like disappearing to them. Here are her photos from her bath.

It will be interesting to see how River and Stone react. I do believe it is easier to be one of the first than to hang around till the end. It is what it is but it does appear that way. They just seem to be not sure what is going on and if they stay extra they bond here making the transition not as easy. Those that go and come back seem to always be just fine. Just my observations.

Keika's not going to be black either though not as dramatic in colour change as Tosca, she will change. It will be fun to visit their colour at 6 months and 1 year.

Tomorrow she departs and then I wash the 2 that remain here as they are off to the vet on Wednesday.

Now she is playing her heart out.

Tosca's New Mom

Here is Tosca's new mom and her grand daughter. Here is a gallery of the family photos.

As you may have known Tosca had a very long drive home. So did her mom. She didn't sleep much going home from what I hear but I thought after the play she would have been out cold. I was told she was pretty good about it despite the changes and confusion of where she is. But they do adjust.

The remaining dogs here adjust each time one or two goes home.

Check out the video before they departed and the gallery

Tosca may be coming back for a visit in January and if so she will have a blast as River and Stone will be here.

Gad we miss the pups already but so thankful that they have exciting journeys ahead of them.

PS: Here's a video of them last night playing in the dark outside

Tosca's Bath

As you can see in the last photo Tosca is silvering out. She's going to be a brilliant silver with black tipping.

How was she in the bath? She played like I gave her a new toy. I just laughed and Gerda loved how she climbed on her lap and snuggled in.

Tosca is going all the way to Montreal. She has a very long drive to deal with tomorrow - mom too.

Maybe next year we will go to the show we like, see friends and see the dogs. It would be so much fun especially cause most likely the 2 remaining would be showing. I am getting ahead of myself but hard when they are so far away.

I have to say I love the personalities in the 2 litters.

Tosca departs tomorrow morning. Alvin later on in the day.

Here's Tosca's gallery

Outdoors & 6

Pictured above is Tosca on top and Mickey getting a bear hug from her.

Crew went outdoors to get their sillies out after Radar departed and they are still sleeping. Next one from Adele to depart is Tosca and she will be making a huge trip to Montreal. She is one of the fastest runners and so full of spirit. What an adventurous and agile gal she is. I think her name should have been 'Amusant'

Here's the gallery from their outdoor play session.

Dallas and the Pups

Dallas is visiting amd the pups just loved playing chase games with her. At first we went - is she enjoying this or just trying to get away. Then she started play bowing and playing up a storm. She was having a blast.

Here's a few photos but they don't do it justice.

Here are a few videos:

I can't believe tomorrow we will be down 1 pup. Life will be different for moms as they get to concentrate on one and lucky Adele gets to have 2 at least temporarily.

Outdoor Wet Times

The crew managed to get outdoors between the drizzle and didn't get as dirty as that gal Murphy did.

They had exposure to Ozzie today and it was such a great positive exposure. They also had great fun with PJ.

Here's a gallery.

Charlie Departs

Charlie has departed and now we are down to 7. Here are the family photos. Charlie will be coming back to visit us for a holiday vacation. It will certainly be a fun reunion. Then when the holiday is over he will be familiar with his surroundings in his new home. Win/win.

What a delicious cutie. Here is a gallery of the 8 before Charlie departed. We miss the 2 that have departed already.

Look for more updates on the Roxie blog with videos and fun before the departure. I also took a video of their last moments as 8. Here is the video.

Charlie's Bath

Now you easily see the difference between River and Charlie. hehehehe

Charlie cleans up nicely and he didn't mind having the treat as his reward for being so good.

What a round tummy he has just like River. :-)

Charlie departs tomorrow but he gets to come back for a visit on the 23rd as his family had a holiday planned for before Charlie came into their life as a possible. So we get to have a trio over the holiday playing their hearts out. So his new family and the rest of you can follow the trio through the holidays.

I can't believe he is departing tomorrow. When he goes home after their holiday he will already be familiar with the routine and surroundings of his new home and will quickly adapt. Nothing liek familiar surroundings.

Here's a gallery if Charlie's wet and dry photos.

Follow the rest of the cre's antics including outside wet shots and our grand daughter's fun experience with the pups.

Ten Weeks and 3 Days Old

See the gallery of the outdoor fun today. We got out before the rain hit. Video is now here. Boy do they love the play. Charlie departs Monday. Tomorrow he gets a bath. I can't believe we will be down to 7 till next Thursday then 6. By the 21st just River and Stone will remain. Then the Xmas visitors so the 2 remaining will get a lot of conditioning.
