I Like This Chair

Actually all of them like the chair and yes they can jump into it but this one does it with ease.

I just ordered treats to be added into your bags to go home. I usually order from Bio-Paws but their site seems to be down so I orders from Nothing Added. They are out of Cambridge. This way you can see what they like and then order accordingly for training etc.

I am playing catchup getting my dogs bathed. I also am doing for others. Soon I will be doing paperwork, getting bags ready, baths etc. They will have their last deworming before going home. They have 3 treatments. We have never had any issues but we do it as a preventative for you. Some vets will suggest you do it and this way it is already done. Their output is solid. Even after a treatment it stays the same. We also treat the moms and the rest of our dogs each treatment. But as I said we have not ever had any issues as we tend to watch, pickup immediately and sterilize our environment.

We practice clean environments to avoid any issues but we also do it for another reason beyond the fact that we enjoy a clean environment, when the dogs stay clean and have a clean environment they grow up to appreciate the same. Dogs that live in soiled areas are more difficult to train as they have been conditioned to a dirty environment.

Here is a gallery from today. Here is also a video showing how they can get up in the chair.

Downstairs, Upstairs

Here's a video of the crew running upstairs and downstairs. See how they run upstairs with room. Ignore the mess. Dennis let them paper shred. heh

Puppies are REALLY loving having room to run. I don't blame them. With a crowd, they need it. They so look forward to going upstairs. We put an xpen around the stair openings and let them run.

Here is another video.

Eating Just Fromms and Chicken Now

Yes, no more mousse except as a treat. They are eating Fromms kibble and chicken. We send you home with a 5 pound bag.

What a Day

No soreness. Wild, silly play. We missed going out due to rain. We would try rain but not as our 1st outdoor experience. We are still playing recovery so the blogs are short.

Here's a video to get you by.

Microchips and Vets

We all had our visit and we were good pups. No accidents. No whimpers, no vomits. We didn't wag our tails at the vets as much as Roxie's did but we were playful, inquistive and did really well.

I think the key is playing before a car ride and stopping feeding a couple of hours before we travelled. It sounds a bit much but pups go all night without eating after their last meal so 5 hours in a car and add a couple of hours stopping ahead of time is like going the night. Over the years we find it minimizes any issues and all did really well.

Weights:

Tan Apricot Female - 3lb 15.5oz

Black and white gal that will silver - 3lb 7oz

Tan and Apricot Boy - 3lb 12oz

Adele's Black which will go havana brown - 3lb 13.5oz

All 9 are in excellent health.

Here are some videos before the vet visit and be sure to check out the gallery found on Roxie's blog.

Going to Vets Today

We are going to the vets today in 2 different crates. Adele's will be riding together and Roxie's will be riding together. It's easier that way as it won't be so crowded. We pack up a lot to take the drive. I fix up two crates with layers of bedding, toys etc. I pack up a bag with a camera, waterless bath in case there is an accident, comb, brushes, wipes. Soon we will be travelling.

8 Week Visit

The first puppy will be going home the 9th. Wow, so soon. Vet visit is tomorrow. We take that long drive to the vets and back again. Here is the gallery from the visit

Pups slept after everyone departed and are still sleeping actually. They had a ton of fun. They were friendly and enjoyed the visit tremendously.

Tomorrow look for vet visit photos. A part of me thinks I am insane for doing a national specialty, a 8 week visit and then the vet visit but we have to do what I would like to experience if I was getting a puppy.

Here is a video of the pups playing before the visit. Yes, it's a different one than the one on Roxie's video.

Shredded Paper

Paper can shred if a puppy is around. Leave paper towels outside the puppy pen? It's an invitation to shred. That's exactly what they did. But oh they had fun.

Pups are doing well. Only 2 more days till the puppy owners to be gets to see them. Going to be fun to see how much they have changed.

No Food

Seems like Mom decided our teeth were too sharp so no more feeding from her. That's okay. She plays with us a bunch now. We are eating really well. We are also drinking really well.

Our blogs are going to be very short over the next few days but we get to see the new owners to be - well most of them on Sunday. Then we are off to the vets on Monday.

Bear with us. We will fill you in with what we can.

Who is Looking at Whom?

Well, remember I said we have an escape artist? Well ALL of them have learned to jump out and get this jump back in. They can't do this if the gate is closed. But what a fun, agile group they are. You are starting to see the differences in abilities between the two litters disappear. It always happens as the younger crew always tries really hard to keep up and it is a huge motivator.

Monday vets and then we contact everyone about which pup, get a pickup date, name and do the paperwork. We are getting into the last weeks. Can you believe. Too soon for me, not soon enough for you. Here's a video from today
