Patches and the Pups

Patches finds great fun with all the pups. She's a great dog and would do well with any of them, it seems. I thought they may be harrassing her but no, when we took her out she wanted to come back in and let them play the chase game with her. It was a riot. Here's the video

Tug and More

We are starting to play tug and we are good at it. See this video. We also have an escape artist. If I don't lock the door, he pushe the gate open and voila, he jumps out. We are latching the gate now.

The pups are really doing well. They love the play. Each day is an adventure and the 9 are meshing well. It's about time. I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen and suddenly Roxie's said, I don't think so - enough and thbey started listening. This is a milestone and a necessary learning process. They must learn when a pup yelps, it's time to stop. You are being too rough. Either stop the play or be more gentle. This is something singletons do not learn unless you have another litter. The interaction between siblings and even better other non siblings is critical to their development. They must learn boundaries as they perfect their skills. They seem to be doing so - both litters. Roxie's have had to be able to say no and Adele's needed to learn to listen. That doesn't mean over the next week or so they won't test those boundaries but when you stop the play, they understand. The pups are on their way.

Daddy's Home

We had a change. We are all together - both litters. Wow changes and Daddy came back. Wait till you see how happy we were to see him. Check it out. We also have a gallery for you to look at too.

We had a good visit with Paula and Tracy. Tracy made a special blanket for each of us to go home with. How nice is that?

We have visitors too. The human Mommy of our Daddy is coming to see us. She is bringing us a blanket to go home with us. How special is that? Let's see what they think of us after they meet us.

Here's a gallery from today. That's all we can do today.

Whip Those Toys

They are now good at taking a huge stuffed toy and whipping it all over. I have to laugh as the toys are bigger than them. Blogs are short today. Here is a video taken today. Best I can do.

Climbing Out: 7 Weeks Tonight

Yes, they all can climb out. Check out the video. Momma Adele is just feeding them first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Oh, they want to eat from her more but she says, no. They have teeth and they are bruising. Interesting enough Roxie is not getting bruises. So, I get that Adele says it is time.

Bonus they can play with mom more when they are not so preoccupied with momma's milk.

Hard Fromm's - no problem now. Both litters had some friend up ground turkey added to their kibble and they went CRAZY for it.

They are all now eating in a bowl that allows each to have access. Before some tended to block some of the others out when I placed the starter mousse in. Now all have the ability to eat at the same time.

All the pups are doing really well. They truly enjoy the out of pen play. Next week we will start taking them upstairs for different room exposures.

Crashing

I am crashing. I truly am. Pups are all doing well. Dogs are doing well but I need to sit with them and veg. I had about 3 hours sleep last night.

What I noticed is this crew can eat the kibble unsoftened. Maybe it is due to how many teeth they have.

I was going to edit a video but I can't. I am just too tired.

Here are a few I uploaded without editing. The one that I skipped I have to edit out my camera moving. Maybe tomorrow. Pups are well.

Strategic Moving

Well, we are attempting to stop the play on the pad and get it used just for what it needs to be used. So, we moved a bed where the pad was and put the pad on the other side. We will let you know if it works. Sometimes you just have to be creative and try, try again. It's already 4pm and thge pusp have had 3 play sessions. Nathan is busy tying up loose ends - me too and well if I see anymore things I have to do for the specialty on top of my usual, I wil just scream. It will be Dennis and I tomorrow till Monday. Nathan gets in at midnight to the airport Sunday so really by the time he gets home it will be Monday. Then that next weekend is the specialty so we will be crazy busy.

So, with that excuse - here's a gallery and I may add a video - may not. Sorry!

Here's a one to get you by.

6 Plus Week Visit

Hair - yum!

Here's the gallery. We hope you had a lot of fun. The pups really slept after. They expelled their energy. Can't wait to do this again. We have to look at our calendar. By the time Nathan is back we should be having both sets of pups together - well that is the goal. From Monday to Monday, if you need something you need to send me mail (darlah@potechin.com).

As you can see no one is shy. Some quieter than others. Some mischievous but all adorable.

Here are some more videos.

Not many videos but as you can see its almost 7pm and I need to get the pups playing again.
