Generations

Saffron's a tad messy. I had not been able to brush her out yet today - actually I have but after this photo. This is Grannie Saffron and Misty's pup who is her grandchild. It was fun to see them together.

Here is today's gallery.

The play was fierce and fun.

I can't believe this Thursday they will have baths. Vet is on Friday and the 1st one goes home in 12 days with yet another bath the day before departure. We do not have everyone's pickup date and we do need that so please send mail to Nathan with it.

Upstairs Play and Testing Camera

We were playing this morning and I was testing placement of cameras. We still have to figure out the zoom location on another chair, perhaps. We want to do better and it is raining outdoors off and on so upstairs in the hall is what we can do.

Here is the gallery.

Due to covid, I am having a very tough time getting access to what I usually put in the bags. I may be doing less or shipping after. I am so frustrated. I will figure it out.

On Thursday we do baths and Friday the vets. No fun photos with the vets unfortunately. This frustrates me. We can't even go inside with them. At least we will have the bath photos on Thursday.

Only 13 days till departure and I have much to do - not Nathan - me. LOL

When pups depart, the Sage and Spirit crew will be 16 and 23 days old.

Now to get ready for the Zoom meeting. Those updates will be in Raven's blog.

Be sure to check out the videos today.

Kitchen Play

As you might have felt, we were under wind warnings - flying stuff possibilities so we had the pups play in the kitchen. Well Dennis did. He's not me taking lots of videos or photos so I am sorry.I will eventually get back to normal. Right now I feel liek a zombie. LOL

Here is the gallery.

Pups are about to go upstairs - me too. I am crawling into bed. They wil be running the halls.

Pups are great!

Love to Play Wrestle

They sure have fun with each other.

Here is the gallery.

What I have noticed as of late is the agility - to jump and play and have a grand time. They sure do make you laugh hard when your day is just going - well they are a light of laughter.

Happy to Dance

Yes, sometimes you just have to get up on those back legs and dance and smile about it at the same time.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Pups had fun outside today. Weather was good and they play with all the older dogs now.

One On One Time

This is the time that we start taking out 1 at a time exposing them to the world without siblings. Each over the next days will get the time to look at things without the support of their siblings.

Here are the videos. More will be uploaded later.

I also noticed last night if Dennis goes in to change the pads in the xpen that they think its another play session. He felt the pads needed to be changed. I think if the goal is to get them to sleep all night and it is the goal, that interruptions can only be when it is highly needed.

Today the pups will be playing outside.

The Fun Of It All

It was wet so we headed upstairs this morning. Then this afternoon they went outside with Dennis.

Here is the gallery from the morning.

Pups had a blast today. They are really a wonderful bunch. Right from the start they exited their carrier to embrace the newness and we do mix things up for them. When its a tad warmer, they will be taken outside in our arms in the front to see cars going by. They will also take a car ride to the vets and back.

As so many asked us, I am going to start posting links of things we have or want for ourselves for the pups.

This chair above can be found here. As you can see, they love it. If this wasn't covid times, I sometimes check out the baby consignment shops as they really have toys, blankets, play mats etc.

I also like the lamaze toys as they can hang on a lot of things for fun. There are also so many teethers but don't get the fluid inside ones as they truly can be a hazard depending on the fluid inside. The silicone teethers are good and can be found at Toys R Us or baby stores or even pet stores. Just search for teethers.

We also get some of our beds from Dearmint. They are a little pricey but the quality is amazing. We do not get anything from these referrals but let them know who told you about them so they at least know.

Go to amazon and search for cat tunnels. There are many but some are not great quality. Some are. I will tell you what I think if you send me mail.

You need to get a carrier to bring your puppy home. If you get a sherpa, get the large size not the medium. There are many brands but do not get the really cheap ones. They collapse. The Amazon Basic ones are terrible. They can travel in the car with you in these, sleep in one on your bed when they first come home, travel in an air and they are mighty comfie in them. Pups that come for grooming and/or play readily jump out of it to go play and jump back in to go home. It is amazing as they have been conditioned to them. The price range varies but cheap is well it will collapse. Our daughter got a Khore which is more expensive than the sherpa bags as she wanted one on wheels that also worked as a carseat, backpack and a bed. As she travels, this worked well for her.

If there are anything you are thinking of and want to know, just ask.

Outdoor Weather Amazing!

Misty and Raven's pups will be different sizes as adults. I will tell you why. Raven has shorter legs and a shorter in length body so they carry their weight in their body. It is all in the standard - both litters. Misty will be higher on leg, less weight in mid body and longer. Neither will be big dogs but their weight and height is distributed differently.

Here is the gallery from this morning.

So, if you are choosing for size they most likely will be around the same weight. You really should be choosing for personality so you need to watch the videos. I know that is tough but it will give you the most insight into personality along with asking us.

There is no one shy in either litter. All pups have done well with changes, noise etc. They do have their own unique outstanding things they seem to excel in but that will change as they always do by 8 weeks. It is why we wait till then.

I find no fault on their structure, bites, personalities. That makes it more difficult, I know. But we will get there and your puppy will go home and you will fall deeply in love with him or her. It will happen.

I promise - we will figure it out.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Let Me Out

Here is the gallery.

They so look forward to their fun playing outside, inside, upstairs. They simply love to play!

Tomorrow we are doing a zoom meeting with the pups. I won't be able to get the baths done but hoping I get them done before Spirit has pups. We shall see.

There isn't enough hours in a day and I had grooming to do.

This gal is so much fun. She makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. In fact they all do at various times. They are really a sensational group of pups.

This is a short blog as we had sage's pups tonight and well I am only human try to stand on my head but I so try. LOL

The videos are getting uploaded now.

Fun Wrestling Times

They sure do sleep a great deal after this mad crazy play. The more they play, the more energy they expel and the longer they sleep.

Check out the gallery.

This crew is now 6 weeks. I need to fit in baths hopefully if Sage cooperates. We shall see.

Curious and News

This boy is incredibly curious about my ipad, I put a video on and he watches it intently. Not all dogs will watch a tv or an ipad but this dog does. He is fascinated.

Videos are going up now.

All the pups are now eating unsoftened food with a sprinkle of chicken in it. They have teeth and are capable of eating hard food. We figured that out when they kept stealing the mom's food.

They also had their 1st deworming today. We do this as a preventative to save you $$. We have never had an issue but if we didn't do it the vets would insist. So - we do. So far no bowel changes even on the small ones.

The pups truly are fun!

Getting Mighty Agile

I have to laugh at the pups now. They glide with ease over each others backs. They adjust to so many changes.

This is a great crew without any testing their might is right thing. They all seem to not feel the need. It is rather nice. Sometimes at this stage they try to see who is the mightiest in their own mind - nothing serious but a funny game of I count the most. None seem to do that here.

Videos are getting uploaded now. Then I am going to make sure I have everything in place for Sage.

I have introduced the adult dogs to the pups and it is going really well. I have also introduced Sage and Spirit into this room and I catch them kissing the pups through the xpen. It is delightful.
