Bath Photos Before Visit

This is the bath gallery. A play session gallery of both litters will be done later. Here is the play session of both litters.

This is 1st born. All the pups were amazing. No complaints - nada. They may not have liked sprays in the face but that was so minor it is really not worth mentioning but I needd to say more than they were amazing but they all 8 were!

This is apricot boy. He will look like his mom. I just love this boy. He is so level headed. He reminds me of Nami.

This is mustache and she is going to look so dramatic if left in long hair. She has persolaity plus!

This is double mask. He was the 1st in every single thing. I can't truly explain it but this boys mind is absolutely amazing!

This brindle gal is simply gorgeous and has this personality where she watches, she does and she excels.

All the pups in both litters were amazing. I will add videos and play photos after I groom a dog and they have a play session. 

It is a crazy busy day.

6 Weeks 1 Day Old

I may be the smallest but in some ways, I am also the mightiest. She holds her own, always. She is often found sleeping on her back in a sea of pups running around her when she gets tired. I often wonder how she can sleep with so much activity around her but she does without issue.

In reality, all 3 do sleep like that - very comfortable in their environment.

I love how the 2 litters meshed and I knew they would. They will forevermore recognize each other as siblings of sorts - which happens when you merge and they and the moms will be comfortable throughout their lives as long as they see each other from time to time.

7 Weeks 1 Day Old

I tell you, this boy sure was the 1st in everything. I so enjoy his ability to find solutions and try new things always from birth on. 

Today it is raining outdoors so only indoor play.

Tomorrow they will have baths - all 8. It is a lot of work but interesting experience for them and me. 

Pups are using pads more and more but NO puppy is 100% trained at this age. It is simply conditioning them by placing them on repeatedly. They all get there.

The pups had a ton of fun today upstairs. They have 3 play sessions. They do solidly nap between. They do not sleep through the night yet but will before they go home. Play sessions before bed helps this aspect. They sleep longer and deeper when they expel energy before they go to sleep. This is why our last play session is before bed.

7 Weeks Old

You can see the Hallie gallery linked on Hallie's blog. You will see 2 days due to our outage.

The pups are really really fun as you will see when you visit. They run, jump, play and have a ton of fun. 

On Friday they will have baths, nails done, pads cleaned up and around their eyes. We will also take photos of each bath wet and dry photo. It takes 15 to 20 minutes a dog so I did the moms today. I am sure you don't mind if the moms are not just clean. It is a lot of work and I have to work around Nathan's nap. LOL

As it was raining, the pups had their play sessions upstairs. Yesterday they had 1 session outdoors. They love the outdoors and can you blamed them?

Not Much Update

Electricity is down. Everyone is fine. Used cell for youtube videos. All I could do.

6 Weeks 5 Days

Here is the gallery.

I had about 2 hours sleep so if I don't make sense, forgive me. I had the pups upstairs and Nathan played with the pups before he departed for the vet with Harlow. I do believe they had a ton of fun. They so love the play sessions and can you blame them?

Now they are sleeping soundly as they do after playing.

I wait until they start laying down to give me an idea when to bring them back to their xpen.

6 Weeks 4 Days

See the gallery in Hallie's blog. I add to it after each play session. Sometimes that 3rd, I don't take videos or photos so I can simply play with the dogs and I am able to get to know them more without having a camera interfere with the socialization.

The pups had a wonderful play session. 

The apricot boy is truly coming into his own. He is mighty confident and independent at the same time but loves his snuggles. Each puppy has their own personality but it is still unfolding. They are absolutely wonderful - all 8.

6 Weeks 3 Days Old

Wow middle of October Nami pups start going home. We have shots, microchips and checkups to book. We will start deworming after Nathan gets the dewormer on Monday. 

No wonder moms are starting to say no to feeding. So much to do, so little time.

Pups do go to sleep and sleep most of the night. As they keep getting older before they depart, they will be sleeping the night. This is part of the reason we have them go upstairs without moms. It is a slow progression to making them independent. 

They will experience cold and 1st snow at their new homes and we will miss them terribly. No one replaces no one. They are new experiences with a new journey and a new set of memories that arrive. It will be an amazing journey. These pups are great!

Oh the Fun of It

We had a puppy go into the brush and couldn't find his way out. He eventually did but I was trying to figure out how I could help him when the brush was so thick in an expedited manner. He did find his way out so it tells me he was able to use his brain to do so. 

The pups are growing up and using their brains to find solutions. Smart puppy!

Every play session is the ability to use their brains and perfect their skills.

They are pretty amazing pups.

Another Change

Here is the gallery.

I will be adding more photos to the gallery as I can. 

As we started setting up Yoshi's pen, we pondered do we put the Nami and Hallie pups together so we have room or wait till bedtime. So midstream, we decided we will tweak it tonight but put them together now.

We are not done Yoshi's pen but it is a crazy house here. 

The pups have already had their morning play in the 1st floor hall. I will take them out this afternoon as it is such a lovely day. Then we will have a 3rd play session tonight. 

1st born harasses Sage who is in heat and has to be kept seperate. When they are in heat, they don't feel like playing so we juggle but this particular puppy fits through the bars - soon he won't and goes after her over and over. She doesn't do anything but he is a persistent soul. Double mask used to do this but he is too big now to fit. It is funny seeing their personalities spill out. 

They are also learning bite inhibition. Moms and siblings teach them. There is less munching on my feet already.

Busy Times

All but one pup had loose stools I suspect from eating plants so I had bum cleanups today. That will pass. It was still worth giving them the experience of going outside and now they have been out twice. 

They are drinking and eating well. They are chewing on each other and saying no - I don't think you should do that to me. This too will pass. It is a necessary stage they go through to learn how to play with soft mouth.

More First

The pups had fun today. They were outside for the 1st time today. They had some minor squeaks as to where am I but they embraced the newness and we will do it again tomorrow. 

There is 1 gallery for both blogs. Tomorrow you will find the link on Hallie's blog. I will alternate it but there is 1 gallery per day now. I hope you can distinguish who belongs to which mom.

Here it is 730pm and I am just starting the blogs. Then we will have Yoshi's blog to do soon. LOL

Pups are now going out 3 times a day. Sometimes on that 3rd one, I simply play vs. taking videos and photos. It allows me to get to know who they are and that is important.

New First

Nami was feeding all 8. Tonight Hallie fed all 8. Are they taking turns? Pups don't care and it seems that the moms do not either. Never had them taking turns, LOL

Pups went up to play upstairs in the hall. It was their first time. 

They do not miss a beat. They are curious and truly fun pups - all 8. Never a bit of hesitancy. Yes, both litters and they play at the same level. 

They have been eating kibble but they throw it all over the place like its little toys. Hope that passes.

5 Weeks 4 Days

How did the pups do? They fussed a little. One tried to climb up the xpen but then settled in and mostly slept. I call this a huge success and as each day goes by, they get used to the routine and will wait to be brought downstairs. 

They started eating softened kibble but with their teeth, we may be able not to soften. We have caught a few eating kibble so it may be time. They are growing up so fast.

They are getting better at climbing, hop running and the play gets better and better and oh ouch they have teeth. I have to find pacifiers for them. I may have some in the freezer. They chew to soothe their mouths during this time.

They already had 1 play session out and I will be uploading those videos. I am going to try to get Nathan to do the next session so Dennis and I can relax before our week on our own. We shall see how that goes.

Hallie kept me up for most of the night. That is her usual so my watch said I had just under 5 hours of broken sleep. I am hoping tonight is better.

If I am short on blogs, it is only till Saturday so just realize I am doing the best that I can. 

All 8 pups are pretty outstanding. There are a couple that have minds thinking to find solutions like double mask that escapes, mustache gal that was pretty much 1st on every try. They are all outstanding and I will tell you about the rest as there are no slouches. Some are quieter than others. Oh and the black and white Hallie pups is slimming down and he thinks play is the name of the game.

5 Weeks 3 Days

The pups will be heading upstairs tonight without their moms. I will take videos and photos that you will see tomorrow.

This double mask boy can easily jump out of the pen if the door is open. He not only is agile, he is mighty smart. He is quite the character.

The pups are doing well but I am out of time. I have many dogs to groom tonight so will try to upload videos as I groom. Dennis said he will take the pups out for their 2nd round so no photos - sorry. 

All bowels remain good and the one that wasn't drinking sufficient water is now.

We are all on track for upstairs. We shall see how they do.
