Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 6:09AM Pups are doing well. In a few days, they may be going upstairs at night but that also means that they need to drink water more. We shall see how that all unfolds. We have never had litters over 2 weeks apart so it creates new challenges that we will figure out.
Pups are playful and having a great time. They love to interact with you.

Friday, December 1, 2023 at 4:25AM Dennis added this bed and quite a few gravitated to it. Usually they are in one corner in a pile. This changed things up.
So far they have had a session out of the xpen without a blip. They took to it wonderfully. They are also eating food and we are trying to get them to drink water. Water always takes a longer time. I nguess they do not think yum water. At this point they are still getting more than enough fluid from mom but they will make the transition.
They are playful. They sleep deep and start in again.

Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 1:15AM The pups have food in their xpen unless Nami steals it. Yes, she thinks it is hers and Nami does get a ton of food.
I am continuing to place the pups on the pad to create repetition. It does work.
Today I think Dennis and Nathan will take the pups out for a play session. I most likely will be sleeping and will have to watch the video. <sigh> This night shift cramps the things I like to do as they create special memories.
December 2nd is our anniversary and other than doing takeout - oh well... But the pups are worth it. Just hate missing.
We also had our 1st session with the pups outside of their xpen in the hall. You can see in the gallery and videos, I am about to upload. We even had the smallest find her love of the tunnel.

Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 6:40AM As it is usually Dennis that does the night shift, I do not get to see the activity at night except through an app each time I wake up. Now I am able to see it upclose and personal. It is rather nice.
The pups are eating solid food once a day. Their stools are not hard but not soft. Their bodies are adjusting to the solid food.
They play wonderful together. It is nice to see. Sometimes they make it to the pad. Other times, they try or not. They are rather young. They are in the learning stage.

Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 6:38AM How did they do with eating solids? It seems no issue. This is good as they will start having food. We start out slow in case their bowels can't handle to diet change.
Pups are playful - friendly and sometimes talkitive.

Monday, November 27, 2023 at 4:59AM Puppies will be trying solid food after I get up. I will post it in this blog vs creating a separate one and will be updsating the gallery.
I will also update the videos so you can see how they do.
They are in that stage of getting rather fun. They love to interact and they last longer in their play and they sleep longer from expelling so much energy.
I am excited to see them try food. This won't be till afternoon as I need to get sleep before we do.

Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 3:15PM The pups are getting to be a riot now. They are fun, fun, fun.
I think tomorrow or the next day wed will try them on food and water. We need to rearrange the pen. They need to find their footing on flooring and we will take it from there.

Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:42AM The Nami pups are old enough to be in the fun stage where you participate or watch the play. I wish everyone could have the experience.
They sometimes hit the pad and sometimes walk all the way to the other end only to squat and pee. They are keeping their sleeping area clean. They learn as you repeat repetition and they are way too young to be pad trained but the reality that some are going to the pad is amazing and wonderful.
I hope you are enjoying the videos. Last night Nathan clipped their nails. You can see how they did in the video. Don't forget about the shorts.

Friday, November 24, 2023 at 3:19PM Pups are doing well. They really like people. They come as fast as they can when you enter the xpen. It is fun to sit in the xpen with them now. Looks like I need to take a tag off of one of the toys. LOL

Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 3:20PM I have decided I will start trying them on food after the weekend. I just don't have the hours to do extra laundry, cleanup pups etc after the experience. Tomorrow we also have a dental clinic and I have a bunch of groomings so - all I can say - it is NOT tomorrow. LOL Soon....
As you can see above pups often find strange pillows. She slept like that for a couple of hours.
They do play well together. Crying as they are separated from their siblings has mostly gone away now. They seem to look around and go - oh yeah just have to move those legs and I will join my siblings.
The pups are doing well. They are developing nicely.

Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:35AM The pups survived the 1st night in the new area. The odd one will fuss if they can't find their siblings.
Two of them are finding the pad some of the time. That is this gal above and the boy. The rest will get it or I am missing them doing it. So far the blankets are staying clean and dry but I still change them daily. My loads of laundry just went up.
Pups are fun to sit in with. It is my present though Nathan now comes in to say hello too as you will see in the videos. Be sure to check out the shorts too.

Here is the gallery. New ones will be added as I go in the day.
Nami pups, thanks to me got a new area to spread out in. Dennis came down to seeing it was done. It was time as they need to expand their territory, see out and strengthen those muscles along with learning new skills.
They now have a pad that we can put them on. (Not today as I am a bit too busy but I am hopeful, I will start tomorrow.) They learn from repetition. They wake up, you place them on the pad. They eat, you put them on the pad. They learn this way.
I do EVERYTHING within a 1 hour and 45 minute window as I need time for feeding and preparing to factor in and that is why blogs are late. Everything gets late.
How do the pups like this new area? They adapted immediately. Sometimes fussing when we do this but its as if they welcomed it and I am ever so glad.
Sage tries to take over. Nami messes up the pen. It creates extra work but you have to laugh.
What's next? In a few days we will try food.

Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2:20PM It's hard to believe that 3 weeks ago - in the evening these beings were born. They are now walking and playing with each other. In a few days we will try them on food.

They do reach for toys hanging off the side. I need to put the playmat back in and maybe find a hanging mobile that they can play with. We shall see.
They are so cute to watch. No one is attempting to climb out of the whelping box. When that occurs, we take them out and they have even more space. Which day will that happen?

Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 2:53PM The pups are 1 days short of 3 weeks. They are plump. They are getting around quite well. They also let their mom know when they want to eat. In about a half of a week we will try solid food - soft. We will see how they do. So mid week sometime.
They are still sleeping a great deal - which is normal. That is how they grow and get fat.

Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:53PM Pups are getting more active just before feedings and just after. Then they sleep. LOL They are doing well. The odd one that gets far away from their siblings usually fuss. They are looking for me to move thjem but I am trying to give them the idea you can just take a few steps and you can join them. This always happens and then they get it.
I am trying to get enough photos and galleries for you but I am juggling. Please understand. I still have a drop off and 1 dog to groom. Then I can focus on feeding and photos and videos.
