Day 2

Still having electrical issues. Thankful for cellular but can't do galleries and videos took all night to upload. Trying to keep pups warm without electrical. Hoping it gets fixed today.

Pups are all lively and eating. She has milk. All have gained and I mean all. Yoshi is eating between 6 and 8 times a day - yes that much. She keeps them cleaned and freaks out when we weigh them.

This house is still dark. We have 2 mini camping lights that work on batteries and at this rate we will lose our food. They don't give off much light but better than nothing. It is cloudy today. My camera automatically turns on flash so you can see.

Oh dear,
This is not what you needed.
Seems like restorations take longer & longer.
Is the whole neighborhood dark ?

Kathy: We had a power surge a week or so ago and it took out my computer. We had another power surge early yesterday and it took out our whole house. We had to wait for them to come out so we could find out what was wrong. They had to rewire most of the house. They have to come back to finish but we just are at our limit to what we can afford so we now have to wait till after we get paid for pups to finish the job. So that is where that money is going.

It was really difficult to deal with no lights, no electricity and trying to keep pups warm as they do not have the ability, at this age to generate body heat and could essentially die if they get too cold or sick. Along with it being stress-filled, it was a difficult experience. Yoshi was amazing. She knew it got cold in here as we had rain and therefore awful timing for this to happen but it also threw the adult dogs off as the house was pitch black and we only had 2 camping lights.

I never ever want to do that again. We are not finishing fixing everything but the pups are now toasty and we will fix the things we were not able to as soon as we are able to. It has not been fun.
