Day 3

Here is the gallery - yesterdays and todays together into 1 gallery.

I think these are super pups. We not only had to deal with a surprise at birth but we also had to manage to keep them warm till we got electricity so we could have them toasty with the heat lamp.

Puppies, till they are 2.5 weeks old can't regulate their body heat. They need mom to stay warm and a heat source.  They did not have a heat source.

They are now toasty.

They are all across the board gaining weight. Yoshi is a proud mom who only leaves them to use the pad or eat and back to them. Last night she didn't leave them. After the electricity came on, she ate and ate.

They are gaining weight. They are lively and mom is eating a ton. We lost food but losing pups or them getting sick would have been worse. This house was cold due to the storm. We can put sweaters on but pups can't.  I had slippers and a sweatshirt on - too cold for pups that need to be at 78f.

We are glad we have electricity.

Be sure to check out the shorts. Plus the main directory of the videos here.
