Pool Time

We had a very busy day today. We had Linda drop by and take Roxie over for a visit to her house - nice! She's never been for a playdate so this was extra nice for her and for Panda and Logan. She brought some lamb kebobs that was to DIE FOR! That woman is such a sensational cook.

We had Helen and Suzy come over to tucker out Hugo and Milo. Suzy has had an operation on her foot so she was unable to swim but she got to sit and watch.

Kat jumped in the pool over and over and Hugo jumped off the stairs - bravo!

As you will see in this photo Kat even jumped over Helen.

Anything to get to his Daddy.

We had Maxine and Ziggy leave. <sigh>

We had relatives drop in.

We had a mad rush to get the stuff out of the rain outside.

Tia arrived and is leaving tomorrow at noon. A bath for her. Tuesday Benji gets a bath and leaves too. Although Nathan would like to think Benji snuggled with him at bedtime he was attached to me in a good way all night long. As he is on a trip this week we have been testing him in his Sherpa bag almost daily to make sure he finds comfort - conditioning but it appears his parents did that too.Good one on them!

Charlie remains a fun loving dog. Since his first visit he has become more and more comfortable and is so fun to have around. He runs up to me and gives me kisses like none other. I love it! He also plays nonstop with everyone. It is so nice to see!

Wasabi gets her snip tomorrow and it is a bit more when they are older in cost and recovery so we are hoping for a speedy one. I will be out there all day as she can't come home till 4ish. That means I will be home around 6ish. So no updates till probably 8ish.

Good wishes for Wasabi. I Hope her snip snip goes well. I am sure you always
worry when one of your dawgs needs to undergo a proceedure.

Yes, on a mature gal I always worry. Thanks!

Wishing Wasabi a speedy recovery.
Kat is a riot.. I remember watching a video clip (can't remember what year) where Nathan is diving off plank and Kat is running and timing his jumps in the poot to Nathan ... my goodness he's got great form! I give him a 9.5 for the Italian judge!! :)

Darlah and Nathan - Thank you for taking such amazing care of Ziggy! He started his "big sleep" on the way home in the car and, aside from a couple of walks and (of course) food, he's continued sleeping ever since we picked him up. I've been enjoying going back over the past entries and photos on the blog (I was only able to check them out briefly last week). It's obvious he, all the other dawgs and the two of you had a great week!
I hope everything goes well with Wasabi today (it's probably harder for you, Darlah?). Thank you again for a wonderful week for Ziggy!

Sending positive thoughts for Wasabi. She has made so many beautiful puppies for us to see on your blogs.

So Roxie had a play date! How cute.

Looking forward to hearing that Wasabi is home and recovering well. (And Mommy Darlah as well.)

For those of us that were talking about the Coton de Tulear. Check out this week's Hello magazine to see Jane Fonda modelling w/ hers. Interesting hair cut on her dog, Tulea (great name) - been cut to look like it's wearing Uggs! :-) (That was my impression.) Kinda liked it!

SE? Can you give me a name?

July 23, 2012 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Sorry Darlah, missed out the U.
I am Sue, Havanese fanatic from the UK.

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterSUE

Sue - Do you have any Havanese?

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDebi

Debi: Yes, I have a 4 year old girl, she is very special, I would love loads more. Do you have one or are you waiting for one of the lovely puppies I've seen here?

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterSUE

Sue - We are blessed w/ Laci Valentine - a female born from Miss Abigail and Phantom of Talemaker. She's 5+ months old and a wonderful puppy! You can search on this site to find info/pics/videos on Laci and her siblings.

What brings you to this site in Canada?

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDebi

Debi: Just found Laci, she is gorgeous.
I was looking for info about Havanese and came across the site and have made it one of my favorites and subscribe to the magazine. This website is probably the best in the world. It's packed full of useful information and insight into Havanese/dog behaviour. Darlah's grooming video is the best and without being disrespectful to anyone else all the knowledge Darlah and Nathan share is more than I have ever found on any other site .

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterSUE

WOW! Interesting . . .

July 24, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterDebi

Glad you like the site. I want those that are interested or are getting puppies to see what I would want to see. I am not sure why anyone else doesn't do similar but maybe as it is time consuming and intrusive? I am just speculating.

I still have people say what about x and I go how did you know about that and then I remember oh, I talked about it. :-)
