Such a Day

It's been a day. I had a day of hell but I got to see Miss Abigail and Bentley. That made my heart happy.

I didn't get my dogs groomed. The pool was opened and I was grooming (all day)  and Nathan was outdoors with the pool guys and the pups needed feeding then someone came over to show us their dog. Dennis was napping and the dogs were barking so bad that Dennis had to get up. Here I am juggling and Dennis didn't get enough sleep and it reminds me that I can't juggle as it truly is too hard and too crazy. Then after all of that (oh there was more but don't want to bore you)  the blogs had to be done. I was so stressed - think I still am.

But Tia dropped in and Mickey is here having fun. Levon and Trigger departed (sniff). We manage to make sure the dogs have a total fun fest. But I am tired - exhausted and it is now time to feed the pups. Dennis is back sleeping till 10pm and that means I get to do everything he normally does like change all the moms water bowls, wash the remaining water bowls, clean up pens, puppy pads and then crawl into bed late, I am sure as Dennis didn't get sufficient sleep with the chaos today. I will be so glad when it is the end of the month and Dennis is sleeping in his bed. It's like a domino effect. All it takes is something to throw it off kilter or a couple of things and well life gets interesting.

It's Mother's Day tomorrow. Hoping for a day that isn't like today other than my special times with the dogs. The rest can never darken my door again.

Here's hoping tomorrow is a relatively peaceful day. Make sure you get your Dairy Queen...you deserve it.

Murphy and I hope you can just drape yourself with dogs and enjoy treats all day. You are the most amazing mother, to humans and dogs.

I feel your pain, Darlah! ... When every minute is accounted for and it doesn't take much to throw it all into total chaos.
Really hope you find some time to enjoy Mother's Day tomorrow and that the weather warms up quickly so you can enjoy the pool.

Is that Miss Abs in the pic?

Happy Mothers Day to her from Breeze and Chinook, and to you Darlah. Their first Moms, but so happy I am their forever Mom.
Thanks for all you do to make the pups the best ever!

I hope those men at your house give you the day off tomorrow!

Treasure is doing well and is well loved. Only 2 havanese I ever had fight and that was Treasure and Abigail. They had a thing going on with each other where both felt the need to control the crew unlike Risa who did that with just a look. Reality is Risa was the true alpha.

Best thing for Treasure was to be an only gal loved. She so felt the need to micro manage and who needs that stress. Broke my heart. Miss Abs was my heart dog and especially hard to let go of. She's not my dog any longer emotionally so I get that this was a good move for her and I accept it. To do otherwise would be selfish. <sigh>

Fiona I hear is well loved and they adore her. She was always a princess and embraced that role. I miss them truly but for each of them they deserve that one on one. It's what they needed. Sometimes when you love someone the hardest thing is doing what is right for them. Not an easy journey breeding but many rewards. No dog replaces another. They are all each unique. Risa is well and seems to be back to her usual silly self. She so loves her treats and today the moms get extra special ones.

My dogs remain unbrushed today and tomorrow I get to play catch up.

So glad they are all well and letting go is what Moms do and you are the best human dog Mum I know of.
Have a special special day

Wishing you a day of relaxation and lots of love from your family - human and dog. Thanks for sharing the story of Treasure and Abigail. You really are so unselfish and always have the best interest of the dogs in mind. You are a great role model to all of us. Thank you Darlah. Have a wonderful day today.
