Warm Ice Melting

Let me in to play with the pups - do you hear? Marco is so cute. He so wanted to play with the pups and he got his wish. He had fun and so did a number of the other dogs including Stone who ADORES the pups.

See the gallery.

Dennis has been pumping off the lake we had on the pool cover. It's taken him oh - all day. LOL

We had the pups outside so you will have to check their blog and we will be updating Cinnamon and Ella's blog today.

Dogs are LOVING this weather. They love running, lazing in the last of the ice, lazing on the diving board soaking up the rays. Who can blame them. It does feel good to be out in just a shirt and light pants.

Blogs may be short tomorrow. I must go get my scissors sharpened. I have to drive up to Bolton as they are too dull to cut - all 15 of them. hehe So, I must drive there, wait a few hours for them to be done and then come back. So, 9-2pm. It must be done. $150 to do all of them. Good thing I only do this once a year as I rotate scissors. If I was smart, I would use one set, send them out to sharpen and have the rest on hand but no.... I get it in my mind I can't do without any. So instead of a day off - I had to do a forced day off to get a sharpening. Wish Bolton was closer. Now before you say what does she need 15 scissors - some are straights, some curves of various sizes, some thinners of different sizes. Most I was able to get from groomers that were getting out of the business or figured out this grooming stuff was hard on the arms, hands, back and feet.

So, I may have to search Bolton to see what I can do there especially if the weather is like this. But that means no photos or very few. Sorry...

Off to check out what Dennis has accomplished. I no longer hear that wet/vac thing making noise.

Who is the charming little one partially hiding in the cube # 2048-2052 ?

Darlah if I wasn't working I would join you. You are amazing. You find far away places to do things. Including your wonderful Vet. But you are a trooper, literally and figuratively.

That is Raven in the cube.

Ronnie... no one local to sharpen, I am afraid.

Darlah wouldn't there be places that sharpen scissors for hair salons be located in Toronto ? Raven has such a sweet face.

Kathy: Yes, there are scissor places that sharpen in Toronto but not like this place. They have been around for a very long time and the quality of the sharpening and the adjustments make it last. I had a guy local do 2 of my scissors and well he about almost ruined the edge. He was a referral from a local salon. I also had another sharpener at a dog show do them - not the same.

I know that sounds crazy but there really is a difference in sharpening and you can have a good or expensive pair of scissors ruined going to the wrong person. same with truly quality knives.

This place is also where I buy most of my shampoo and conditioners - at Deboer Grooming in Bolton. I did buy some blueberry tearless shampoo and conditioner for the dogs to try it out. Nathan bought teeth gel that you spray on to remove plaque and I bought a new pair of scissors - chunkers. While we waited we went to Petsmart - no starter mousse and then went to Pet Valu - they had a ton which we got. Did grocery shopping. Nathan got socks. It was good to have the company vs me having to go by myself as it is a long way. We had an expensive but productive day.

Can you let me know how the plaque spray works? I brush (yes, even floss) Ripley’s teeth everyday and still I struggle with plaque.

I will be interested to hear how the tooth gel works as well. It is a battle !
