Busy Times

Here is the gallery. We are moving furniture and continuing to move plants. We are also doing dump runs from things that collected in the garage. It's a very physical day. 

We had Jon come over to help Dennis move furniture. It saved my back. I just can't heavy lift. It tells me I need to start doing weights as not being able to lift heavy is driving me crazy when I used to be able to and was sadly out of shape. 

I need to start taking my sweatshirts out and find my comfie sweats. Dennis keeps finding me things to do so I am losing it. LOL Every day I start at 7am and don't stop. I need to have time off.

As Pippin says there is nothing like fresh air. Doesn't matter that it is cool, it is time to get an exchange of air before we can't open the windows.

Ozzy has departed. Dennis and Nathan doing another dump run today and tomorrow continuing. It means I am it for dogs. No exercise yet. No eating yet but we are trying. after Smores departs.

Dennis is waiting till Nathan gets up from his nap so they can continue so I figured I would finish the blogs. I am going to exercise after they get back and try to eat too.

Dogs really are curious why the furniture and many plants are gone. We still have some plants to take in. It seems like it never ends. 

I am understanding Harlow more. She starts to cough when her tummy gets full and when too full, the tummy pushes up against the lungs making it hard to breathe. This is a strong indicator that she needs to be drained. When she gets drained, she is back to being happy. Now that we understand the process, we are not giving cough meds as all that does is suppress not eliminate the reason. 

We just ran out of mousse - other than 3 cans. Can't find it locally so if you know where, let me know. Harlow uses it for meals to maintain and she uses it for her meds. I usually get it from Petsmart but although their site says in stock, it is not. Frustrated as she really needs it. I should have started hunting a week ago. Just wasn't thinking.

Nathan tried to take Stryker to bed but he only wanted to play so he brought him back down. Going to be interesting Monday night when he is the only one left. 

Now Dennis wants me to pile any boxes we maintained so he can bring them to the dump. Is there a theme there?

Are you hibernating or doing Fall cleanup. I want to hibernate.

Sorry Late

Here is a mini gallery.

Sorry short blogs across the  board. As it is getting cold, we have to bring plants in, setup lights etc. It is a lot of work. I also have to bring out the hallie and Nami pups and do the pen change, cleanup and dishes and on and on as Dennis is trying to get plants in that do not need my help. My back is killing me as we had to move exercise stuff to setup for it.

Lulu was here as you can see on the stairs. Ty is here. River is chilling. I could go on but don't have enough time. Sorry but everyone is doing well. Nathan is watching tv with the dogs so Dennis and I have a lot of work to do. 

I will do more blogging tomorrow. I would like to get to bed before midnight.

Look at Me

It is raining off and on so we only have brief periods of time to go outside but they make the most of it. 

Interesting enough Ty and Nes seem to be gertting along famously. I am not sure Nes has been here when Ty has been.

We have a great group of dogs here at the moment.

Reminder if you are going away even if you do not have the exact dates in December and January, let Nathan know. We do fill up and we do cap the amount of dogs we take. 

Wet and Messy

The dogs were out in wet and they so need brushouts and my floors - oh my. We had to wash floors before Nafas went home and Dennis washed them at noon. What a riot. They had such a great time that they look deliciously funny and messy.

I swore they brought all the leaves in. Guess when it dries, it is time to rake or blow the leaves. LOL

I should have taken a photo of Harlow as it took me a half hour to remove all the leaves as she rolled in them. She is hysterical.

Let Me In Or Out?

So out or in? You tell me? LOL It is like this all day. Someone goes outside. Someone stays inside and we let dogs in and out ALL DAY LONG. 

They do have fun and always someone has to be outside to monitor them. Why? Well you see you want to make sure everyone's output is okay. If you just wait till next spring - YUCK then how do you know. I can't believe someone does this and they must as there wouldn't be services that do it come spring. 

We also play and chill with them. You never know when a raccoon or some critter is out there. It is happening more and more in the city. 

It is also a moment that you say ahhh fresh air yes even in the winter. I do hate cold but the dogs are so worth it. 

Today it was relatively warm for this time of the year. They were out a lot. I felt like we had a revolving door and we did. But it was fun!

Fun Was Hard Ins and Outs

Meadow said - is it time for that car ride yet? Meadow, Abby and Mocha departed for their long drive back.

Pippin arrived. Barney, Alfie, Coco, Rusty and Luna departed. Socks and Hazel departs shortly. The pups will miss Hazel as she plays with them so well. 

Pippin, Nes and Harlow was busy seeing what creature they could find but didn't find one today but oh they so tried. 

It is already after 7pm. I just finished eating and blogging. I was doing it at the same time.

Got to Do What We Got to Do

Sorry just finished grooming and tomorrow is going to be the same. A puppy also gets groomed to depart Tuesday - first born.

Dogs came and went. It was busy, busy busy. 

But the dogs had fun. Me, I am tired. 

I have 3 dogs that depart in the morning and they can't go outside as it is wet and dirty out there. LOL So pads it is. That is the benefit of using both.

Hmm Nice Weather But

Not sure what happened. It must be Dennis enjoying that great weather but he hardly took many photos and didn't even get everyone. Hmmm what happened? He will have to play catch up tomorrow cause thsi is when I have tine for a blog.

The dogs played hard and they had leaves and debris all in their coats as I was busy combing and pulling it all out. 

Ms Nora and Ellie departed. A number arrived. It has been a very busy day but an enjoyable one.

I need to exercise and shower. So off I go or I will never do it. LOL

Rain and Then No Rain Then Rain

It rained. It didn't then it rained again but we had enough breaks to get the dogs outside. 

Harlow was outdoors investigating with her new friends. Harlow so loves to eat in a huge way. Elvis and Meadow was doing the investigating thing. Is there a squirrel close by?

Dennis ran with the crew today and then he is napping. LOL I guess it is strenuous play but they love it so! Some dogs participated and some watched. 

For some strange reason the dogs woke me up half the night so I am a tad tired. 

But they are full of life today. Go figure. 

It was a good day!

Warmish Day

Here is a mini gallery. More will be added later. Dennis still needs to take photos.

We have Harlow's dad coming for a visit. I have exercise to do so I will add photos to the gallery in a bit.

We also have dogs coming still  so it is a busy house today. It will be an exciting one.

Dennis watch can't be fixed today. They need to send it out and it will take 5 to 7 working days to either get a replacement or get it repaired. So much for that. That is a long time without a watch you depend on. Oh well... We do have Apple Care thankfully. I do have a box in my front hall with my replacement printer and I have to box up the old one and bring it to fed ex tomorrow. Let's hope the new one works.

We have so many squirrels that the dogs are fascinated with. Birds are out in droves too. End of season activity?

Playing Outdoors

One would think he fell down but no he was rubbing himself on the pool cover. Many many of them do this. It's like a built in massage experience.

The dogs seem to enjoy this weather.

They run. They play. They go absolutely crazy movement fun. It is nice to watch. They also are fascinated with the activity out back!

Two Blog Day: See the Happy Birthday!

Tonight is a groom marathon. Every couple of days I do them. Today is it. 

Our turkey is gone. Everyone feasted and my replacement printer is coming Thursday. Dennis watch is broken so off to the Apple store he goes Thursday too. We do have Apple Care. Sometimes those warranties work. 

Dogs have played. Harlow's daddy comes Thursday and is she going to be excited. He brings her a cheeseburger which she devours. I so enjoy their visit as she lights up around him and that makes me feel ever so good. We may be her 2nd home but he is home.

It is going to be a good week. 

Nathan is living on tylenol 1s or 3s. Says it is not helping much but going to try heat tonight.

Tomorrow a puppy goes home of Nami's. See his bath photos in her blog.

Happy 6th

Happy 6th birthday to my favourite girl, Bailey. Love you so much. So grateful to have you always by my side. Love snuggling with you, playing with you, going on hikes with you, and introducing you to all my friends. On one hand I feel like I've always had you there with me. On another I feel that the time has flown by in a really crazy way. How are you 6 today!? You are truly my soul dog and I love you so much. Thinking of Nathan, Darlah, Dennis, Leti, Stone, Abby, Benny, Benji, Coco, and Tempie and wishing them all a wonderful day too. Love from Bailey's family: Pippa, Liz and Judy

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

Here i s a mini gallery.

I am doing mini updates as I am sorely behind. We have pups departing in a couple of days and need to get things completed and I got a ways to go. The 1st pup and 2nd pup is completed but not the rest so I may be short blogging for a bit. Hopefully not.

We had a number of visitors for the day yesterday and today for Thanksgiving. Our turkey is gone - finished and it was a 25lb turkey but hey we shared with the dogs and puppies. What can we say but they loved it and I loved that they loved it!

I hope everyone had a great holiday!

Nathan has a serious hip issue. I think he needs to have it checked. He has an appointment next week. Today he is barely walking - joy. It also means I have to do all that he does as well. We will figure it out.

The dogs chased squirrels today. Usually they don't but they couldn't help themselves. It is okay. It was all in fun.

Thanksgiving Weekend Sunday

This is how we spend most days when it is not raining but this is Thanksgiving weekend so we have a few day visitors while people celebrate with families. It is such a fun house today and leftover turkey was had - yum for the dawgs!

Some Days

Here is the gallery.

There are just some days that you fall behind and this was one of them.

I am busy getting puppy packs together. I cooked a turkey and thought I blew it but didn't. It was cooked perfectly. I was juggling groomings and well the dogs feasted and this was Brewer after his feast. That is what I wish I could do - eat and nap. Even the older pups feasted and they made it disappear in a minute ot two. 

Nathan went to pick up the dog food we ordered and Fromms sent it to the wrong store and our store didn't have enough to sell us so tomorrow he has to go 30 minutes up north to get them. We always order from the same store and this time they had someone new so they sent it to the wrong place. He can take a couple of dogs and go buy them. He likes to shop. So laughing!

I did manage to get quite a few combed out today.

I only did a minor amount of exercise and said that is okay. Lord knows I am skinny enough. Maybe I will do a bit more tomorrow to make up from gorging on turkey and pumpkin pie.

Magic's mom brought over a pumpkin pie as a thank you for grooming Magic.

The dogs and us despite being busy really enjoyed the day. Good food is always a welcomed event.

Harlow - well she wanted 2nds and 3rds. That gal loves to eat. River was the same - yum turkey yum!

Busy Times

This blog will be short as it is 730pm and I need to brush dogs. It has been a very busy day.

Tomorrow we are going to cook our turkey. It means I need to start at 7am to get it ready before Nathan takes a nap. LOL. It also means the dogs will have a feast at lunch time too. 

Our weekend will consist of leftovers but I need Nathan to go get some bread and mayo as I like stuffing and turkey sandwiches. 

Tomorrow I am taking the day off from grooming as I have a hand that hurts from dematting. I will see what I get done tonight. 

The dogs and us are looking forward to a great meal. Hope you enjoy yours this Thanksgiving. I know we are early but as they say - better early than late. LOL

Out on a Cool Day

I had Harlow freshly combed out and she went outside, rolled and made her face a total mess but that is why we love her.

Dogs were enjoying the fresh air. Harlow was back looking for rabbits and squirrels - which seems to be a passion for her. She gets everyone interested in the game.

I am busy getting my orchids in before they die. Frost tonight. All I want to do is take a nap but I can't. 

Out Between Rain

Don't have much to say. We have been busy. Dogs did get outside whenever it stopped raining. 

The dogs played and had a blast but mostly indoors. It was simply too wet and dirty out there that they would track mud all over much to the frustration of Dennis that mops the floors. It was one of THOSE days. But we survived. 

The Rat Pack

Have to brush everyone out tomorrow. Today was a much and play till you look a chaotic mess day and the leaves are seeds and what have you is getting caught in the coat but tomorrow that comb comes out. LOL

They say rain tomorrow. Today was absolutely wonderful weather wise. I was hoping it would last but if it rains, we will have indoor play. Oh well.

We did get a turkey - not as large as I wanted but good enough. We are not having company over this year. The grand daughter is in Japan. Another one is moving back to the city. The daughter is looking for a new place to live. The boys have plans so it is just Nathan, me and Dennis and of course a feast for the dogs. Which day will we make it? When it thaws and that's our Thanksgiving day this year. It is now frozen thawing in the fridge. I am looking forward to eating but not cooking or cleaning. Isn't that always the way?

All I can say is YUM!!!
